by

Hal's address which was used to receive the first bitcoins from the genesis block has been used to sent bitcoin as latest as last year.
1Q2TWHE3GMdB6BZKafqwxXtWAWgFt5Jvm3, which Hal Finney has said was an address of his, was last used to send coins in September 2017. Recently his bitcointalk account was also accessed by someone. Is the address compromised or its his family using it?

Bounties accepting Neg trust members

Just curious if there are any bounty managers who are accepting negative accounts? Many legit accounts have been recently marked red by Lauda and Pharmacist for no good reasons.

Have patience and don't jump the gun. Avoid twitter shills, use your head rather than going into a trade if some xyz OG is recommending it. Do not join and pump and dump groups. Invest only what you are ready to loose. Do not expect unreasonable gains just because someone claims to have made them. Learn TA.

Re: Does Chinese New Year Affect the Market?!

Yes, it sure does. Most money in crypto is from chinese investors and they go the fiat way during chinese new year which brings the price of crypto down. Its just a momentary phase and nothing one should be concerned about.

If you would be selling now you would definitely be selling the bottom. Waves is one of those coins that you have to hold for a long time to make money out of it. Waves is here to stay!!

Its never a bad time to invest in bitcoin and ethereum. There is a long way to go and we might see another 3 or even 5x in the USD value of ethereum in another 2-4 months.

Re: do you day trade or prefer a long term hold?

This really depends on the type of coins that you are holding. Also how much loss one is ready to take in the long term. For me, 60% of my portfolio is stored away in ledger for long term play and only 40% is for day trading.

Every day the sun rises is a good day for crypto! Cryto is right now also in its infancy stage and a lot more has to come our way. More the adoption the more its value will increase with time.

Surprisingly even after Lee dumped his litecoin for the reason that he thought that price of litecoin at 300$ was way overprised,  Litecoin for now it seems is showing all signs of making a impulsive wave upwards.

Re: Girls in the world of crypto currency
by

I have been trading crypto-currencies for almost a year now, investing, participating in bounty companies and building my own mining farm.
I wonder how many more girls are in this forum?
Or who of the guys is teaching his girlfriends and wives to invest and trade in crypto-currencies? It is very interesting to me!
hey, good to find out more girls that are mining here. I got into crypto last year July and almost bought the top on everything, that is when I decided to learn TA and spend more time researching about crypto. About a couple of months ago I got into mining and am absolutely loving it.

Very low avg hash being calculated
by
kandholabhavna
on 09/02/2018, 07:11:27 UTC
I have been now mining ETC for about 45 days at nanopool and getting monthly average of 135Mh/s when my reported hash is always above 151Mh/s.
If you look at the pic below, the reported hash for 12 hours straight never dropped below 150, so avg should be way more than 135, any one knows what is the reason of such low avg hash being calculated?

Re: Wallet for Etherium

what is a safe wallet for storing ethereum after getting paid from ICO?
The best is to use myetherwallet in conjunction with hardware wallet. By using hardware wallet, the private keys are created in the hardware device and not your system, so even if its hacked, your coins always remain safe.

Do not worry guys. Some FUD is going on right now but they have confirmed that they have not been hacked or anything like that. Lesson to learn here is to not to keep much money at exchanges.

Re: Is it normal to build a crypto currency without ICO
by

on 07/02/2018, 17:10:45 UTC
Me and my team building a new Altcoin. The first Egyptian altcoin. So we didn't want to start it with an ICO. Is it normal to start a coin without an ico and if yes what is the effect of that
Yes, there are a lot of currencies hhich do not do an ICO. You can opt for an airdrop. To make it happen, all you need to do is post a thread in the airdrop thread here, and ask people to fill a form with their ethereum address(presuming your token is erc20 compliant) here. You can set criteria, such as making compulsory for users to share their bitcojntalk and twitter handles in the form so that you know that distribution is fair and no one user gets the airdrop for more than ones. Rebellious did an awesome airdrop recently, maybe check their thread and twitter handle for more information.

Excellent set of golden rules that you have got there. The only thing I saw missing was that you do not suggest your followers to buy blood. I like buying coin when there is a lot of fud around it and when nobody wants to touch them, TA does helps a lot in picking such coins.

Not sure how you will be cutting your losses when we are most probable at the bottom now. IF you sell now, you might end up selling at the bottom and hence diminish any chances of recovering your losses that you may have had if you had bought earlier when prices were high.

Honestly, they have been are yelling at the top of their lungs that they would ban members who join the forum to be part of signature campaigns while it seems like they are the ones in reality who are spamming the forum with their one liners to make the most of signature campaigns.
They should practice what they preach!

Look at the roadmap and all the upcoming updates that are due. Definitely not a scam. I have been looking at it since a few days now and it seems to be a great bet to double your btc!

Can't give you any advice here but can tell you what my plan is. Since I have not sold till now, I will be holding it all the way to 4k or even 2k. Makes no sense in selling now, now that btc has gone more than 60% down from 20k price. Either it holds here, or we might experience a very long bear season imo.

Re: Are you afraid of hackers?
by
kandholabhavna
on 02/02/2018, 15:06:10 UTC
Recently Bloomberg posted the information that it took hackers less than 10 years to steal over 14% of all existing Bitcoins and Ethereum from the wallets of their holders. The total sum they have stolen is more than $1,2 billion! How to protect yourself from hackers attacks? Are you afraid of this stuff?
The best thing to do here is to get a hardware wallet. Or move all your loing term bitcoin holding into a paper wallet, and use a air gapped system to make this paper wallet. If your system was ever connected to internet, then it is definitely vulnerable to getting hacked.
