I am looking for a translator from English to Czech. The translator must understand the terminology of trading, and, preferably, the field of cryptocurrencies. Payment for the translation by agreement. Payment will be made in BTC.

Hi, I can do that  Smiley
I already did some translations for crypto projects

Re: Who is Satoshi? Hypothesis with proof, reasoning, and statistical analysis

Why are people so obsessed in unveiling and knowing the identity of Satoshi?
Here are few reasons off the top of my head.

  • They'll make tons of money from the media.
  • They're curious to know how they are.
  • They want to know if they're still alive. (And has still access to their money)

Generally, for those who make this kind of researches it's probably the former.

For me it is more like curiosity about who made such awesome thing

I don't need his identity, face or anything

I would like to know who that person is- what was his skills, how he did it, if he did it alone, what was his inspiration, ideas, how long it took to finish it etc
Some story Grin

April fools! I hope that people had fun. It's always funny how many people are actually fooled.

Credit to Halab and Cyrus for the idea. The triva questions were from the OpenTriviaQA database by uberspot.

How the IQ score worked was that it was impossible to go above 200 or below 0, and it was supposed to be centered around 100, so it got easier to lose points and harder to gain them the higher your IQ got above 100, and vice-versa for below 100. The questions themselves all had the same weight. It was very easy to cheat (not least because the answers were all public), but just for fun, here are all of the final IQ scores: https://bitcointalk.org/af2022.txt

Awesome! Grin

I love this community even more and even though we will not have all the ivory things Grin

Have a beautiful day yall

I saw somewhere video about Paul Le Roux and the possibility of him being our OG

He was cryptography enthusiast and made some good software
He was using Solotshi in his IDs
He launder and hide sooo much money nowhere to be found
When Satoshi announced he has some other things to do by that time Paul moved to physical business (drug lord)
He was arrested in 2012

So Satoshi is offline for so many years and Bitcoins didn't move because he is doing his jailtime

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Le_Roux#Satoshi_Nakamoto_candidate

What do you think?
I think that this really could be Satoshi Nakamoto

Re: Basic Of Escrow System; Q&A by Satoshi
by
kevinovecka
on 14/12/2021, 22:38:30 UTC
The original source is Escrow, not the article in that institute. It mentions the original topic as External link.

Escrow can not protect you. The level of protection depends on the quality of Escrow service. If you use a scam Escrow service, it will steal your bitcoin, not your trade partner.

That is true but escrow is amazing solution it is pitty that many scams discredited such useful things by exit scams etc...
It is important to have 3rd neutral vote and even it is very hard to judge by evidence provided from both sides it is best solution ever because you cant get more justice without trust and not sure if you ever will and trust me I have been scammed so many times and wish I had more power to get justice.
That is why I sticked to 2 of 3 and will make announcement about my service after "How to video" for beginners is done Grin

Re: Desperate about vps and servers...

What is your budget?
I would recommend my provider, maybe they are not as cheap as Hetzner but contact with support is fantastic. The price for dedicated server would be around 200 euro (gross/month) for Intel Xeon E-2236 6x 3.4 GHz, RAM: 64 GB, 2x2 TB SSD.
185 euro for Intel Xeon E-2236 6x 3.4 GHz, RAM: 32 GB, 2x 1 TB SSD
170 euro for Intel Xeon E-2234 4x 3.6 GHz, RAM: 16 GB, 2x 500 GB SSD (so you would not have raid on that)
DirectAdmin included.

There would be probably also the option for VPS, but max they have is 150GB and you would have to pay extra for HDD, but I do not know if you may buy 800GB.

I would be happy to find something like contabo... they take 25 euro/month incl. VAT but if it would be 50$ a month it would be still okay.
I need to run full node and I am not sure if some paid full node service would be good.
I don't want to risk clients BTC at any costs
Soyoustart has very reasonably priced dedicated servers... You'll have to install everything yourself, and i think plesk is quite expensive, why would you need this?

I guess a VPS with 800 Gb HDD will be more expensive than a dedicated server from soyoustart or hetzner

Will have a look at this thank you Smiley

Few question,
1. What is your budget (per month/annually)?

I would be happy to fit in 50$, project started few weeks ago and has not many popularity (YET!  Cool )

2. What exactly do you mean by terrible performance? Low I/O speed? Slow CPU?

Not sure which one but full node still updates and sometimes website is just down or it is super slow...
Sometimes it is good

3. What plan you used previously at contabo? Storage VPS model "VPS 1400"?

Yesss

https://steadyturtle.com/ have good reputation and sometimes recommended by other member, but option with big storage only available on dedicated plan.

I don't want umbrel or things running on raspberry, I need to have website with full node.

If you only need to access webpage locally, how about Intel NUC + 1TB SSD?

Hi guys

I am looking for some (good performance+price balance) server or something with plesk and ubuntu 20.04 with at least 800 GB space.
I was at contabo, but performance is super terirble even though it has 1400 GB space...

Do you guys know about something?
I don't want umbrel or things running on raspberry, I need to have website with full node.

Thank you so much

There is a great alternative to centralized VPN. This is called p2p or dVPN - decentralized VPN - which    combines the best features  of an uncluttered TOP and a regular VPN. I use Mystereum   which has  nodes  scattered all over the world, no written logs. The traffic is   encrypted. When I'm in bed I don't pay. I pay only for the traffic via exit node of my choice. You can set your vps server as Mysterium node and earn money for that when me or someone else will connect to your  node.

This looks really good
I checked website but not quite understand how could I implement for escrow service  Undecided

Fees are shown before submitting escrow
0.8% + 2$ (not in advance-> creating new escrow is free) and can be paid by seller, buyer or both
So the fee on 1k$ transaction would be totally 10$

Will think about putting it on HP, thanks for good point

Yess it is
I started company in my home country to legally cover my actual and future projects

Oka will work on some nice explaining announcement thats awesome idea

Bitcoin escrow promotion and proving it is worth something
by

Hi guys,
Any ideas on how to promote Bitcoin escrow?
I am owner and co-dev of escrowedbitcoin.com (bitcoinescrow.cz - my native language version)

I really would like to fund better and faster server, because this one is not very good in long term, but it needs some transactions.
Running own node on server and I think it is very well secured and done.
I also think that fees are very low when I compare other escrows...

What do you think?
I would like to make it serious business and big player in Bitcoin space that people can trust and wont be scammed anymore (like me for so many times thats why I started this business in first place)
Many people used it so far and were happy, but need more users who try and then will never go change it!

Thanks for your ideas

Advertising of such things is very hard
Google ads doesn't allow things like that
Maybe some facebook groups would do the thing

I am also trying hard to advertise Bitcoin escrow because it is honest service but it takes long time until you get some people who will come back and tell others about your project

So I keep my fingers crossed for you that success will come

Re: Is there a token on Bsc that isn' t a scam?

Tough one Cheesy
I tried with some smaller amount MarsRise because they have liquidity locked for 4 years I think at some vault and now I am some hundreds of % up...
But I am afraid more and more scams will keep popping up on these platforms because it is very easy to make own coin there and there is immediate possibility of listing on coingecko, coinmarketcap etc which is good marketing tool.

I am searching better gems , the ones that do it different.
For example I bumped into cateco.in it looks it is very new newbie, but good thought about giving away whole supply through faucet...
Got some coins from faucet so let's see, I guess I got nothing to lose there.
