Re: The future of cryptocurrency during this pandemic
by

on 28/03/2020, 05:23:07 UTC
The future of crypto currency for me is still very bright despite the panic that is currently going on in the world and I strongly believe that everything will soon fall back on track asap
Yeah far future still seems good and bright , but the near future is looking bleak , as this pandemic is forcing everyone to stay indoors and this way many people have to depend on their savings not only for themselves but also to send to their relatives and closed ones  . Since for most people it is their savings thats invested in crypto so seems only logical for them to cash it out .
Anyways with the bitcoing halving approaching and since we each passing day we are 1 step closer to get a hold on this pandemic and getting back to our daily lives , so the far future does look good for crypto even though the near one might suck.

Let's not be panic guys. This crisis won't last long. Then everything will be fine like before. And my opinion this crisis will make crypto industry makes more popular since everything is dcentralized. So don't be panic everything will back in fine soon it's just matter of time & hopefully we could see next bull run later this year.
Yeah completely agree  though the crypto industry is gonna remain crippled for a few more weeks to months but as soon as things begin to clear it going to start bouncing back . We just need to be patient . Panic was never a good thing and will never be . And besides with the bitcoin  halving approachings things might change sooner rather than later .

Re: What would you mine with CPU only and free electricity?
by

on 09/03/2018, 02:27:10 UTC
Well in my opnion unless u get powerful cpus like the ryzen or i7s , cpu mining will be more of a hastle then profit even with free electricity, unless u have a large bunch of them already like 30 or more . Even then to ROI the motherboards , the hdds ,the rams is gonna be very difficult , and even managing them and making sure they are cool enough is gonna be taxing , its better to do an acutal job .
I am currently mining electrenum with my ryzen 1700x in my mining rigs
But yeah if u go with cpu mining u should also look at storj or other hdd mining to increase ur already really low profit Smiley

Wow ! the profits are downright making ROI 1 year + for the first time in a very long time .
Anyways its better to avoid buying addition hardware at such high prices even at normal prices its questionable to buy currently .
Anyways for now its better to mine niche coins and hold till they get good prices when they get listed etc
or mining and exchanging for coins whose future u beieve in because right now the profit is too low .
Good Luck with ur mining everyone .

Guys What and where are u mining now a days , The Profit is decreasing day by day on niche coins and auto exchange pools like ahashpool , I am thinking about switching to More knowns coins like zcash etc
Not to long ago 10$ per day for a ti was usual but now even making 5$ is difficult and require a lot of experience of market etc
Also what about argo is it still more profitable mining it last I checked the only exchange it was offered on had some problems .
Anyways gonna keep on holding my coins who knows 5$ a day today will be 50$ a day someday in the future .

I don't know if somebody tried a comparison between ahash and zergpool ?

I have 12 x GTX 1080 Ti on 2 rigs
In January I did arround 0,0055 and 0,007 BTC per day on ahashpool with nemosminer

I saw the shitstorm about pools in the Nemosminer thread and here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2835350.0

Yesterday I did a test and switched a rig on zerg pool
The afternoon (6h test), I did 25% more on zerg pool

This night (10h test), I did 42% more on zerg pool

It's a pretty big difference in my opinion, anybody else tried this ?

Not sure if you saw the ahashpool email response to that FUD....saying it's payouts to their own rigs.

Anyway, I really like ahashpool but have been meaning to try zergpool, currently using sniffdog. I tried mining to zerg but for some reason my data wasn't showing up on their site so I went back to ahashpool. Please do more testing and comparisons, doesn't sound like you did fair comparison because you said your ahashpool results are from Jan and coins went down a lot. Let us know if zerg really is more profitable. Thanks

I've been on zerg since this morning.
Seems to be similar, or slightly worse so far, than ahashpool.
I'll report back after the 24 hr.
Still waiting on ur report sir , Ahashpool for now is giving a lot less , it used to be giving 0.004 with my 8 1080 tis and now not even 0.003 since a day or 2 ago , Could be just pool luck or some bad internet connection or something , Want to know if zergpool is even worth looking into or not

On a side note I have an offer of  buying 4 more 1080 tis @ 1090 $ per card should I go for it , or should I wait for the next nvidia series , anyone has any clue when this might be released ??

Too many auto profit sites coming online now a days , driving profits downs for the coins involved ;/

Now a days profit and price really down :/ , was doing nist5+x17 ,but now their profit is gone down the drain gonna switch to phi and see how that effects if its not that good gonna go back to auto switch on ahashpool.
Anyways guys what do u guys use to control ur rigs , currently was using team viewer but its sometimes just doesnt work .
Also are u guys keeping ur coins in alts or btc right now ?? Cause btc + many alts seem down atm , bitcoin going below 10 k wasnt expecting that

I dont know where u got ur numbers but 50-60 dgb is not 5-6 dollars its around half
Anyways there a a lot more stuff more  profitable then dgb atm ohh hell even zcash might be more profitable then dgb skein right now
Anways dgb used to give a lot until its diffculty exploded like a lot and price decreased to half +
Anyways U should use whattomine.com and compare ur dgb skein profits with other coins profits and mine the one more profitable and convery it into what ever coin u believe in .
And with Bitcoins Lightening Network DGB might die or fade away .

I myself have switched to ahashpool for now , Might switch to zpool after payment , With my exams coming up I can't give too much time to searching the best coin at them time mining it and selling it for the duration of exams anyways But Seeing bitcoin fall below 10000 is kinda making me rethink , Anyways guys which coin are u mining and holding right now in this blood bath . Might a golden oppurtunity to get coins cheap and mine at lower diffs but who knows the opposite might also be true and the lightening network could kill of the altcoins .
Anyways , Do u guys think Corsair Ax1500i could do 6-7 1080 tis at a time or should I stick with 5 , need to get eight pin to dual 8 pin cables .

Yeah , This is getting pretty Serious right now
Gpus Going out of stock + Profit Decreasing
Hope Bitcoin and other alts get some ground to stand on and then start their steady increase .
Right Now this is getting pretty dramatic.
I bought 4x 1080 tis @ 870 $, and this really puts the estimate ROI to a month or 2 more
Anyways what are you guys mining now ?

In my own opinion windows is a whole lot easier for newbies and there are much more tutorials for windows available and its easier to setup moniotor and control but thats just my bised opinion cause I couldnt setup linux remote monitor and some why my miners got curropted after some power failures so keep all my rigs on windows , got many free keys due to university :p

Just my Opinion but I still prefer 1080tis over 1070tis , Cause I prefer density over everything
Anyways with the Next generation coming anytime soon it is to hasty to buy any card right now
But Yeah I am pretty Impressed with The efficency on this one , Nvidia sure knows how to make the best gpus
If We could only do custom straps for nvidia it would have been unbeatable.

Re: Personal Preference?
by

I am of the personal peference that there should be 1 psu per rig, as this makes it a lot easier to manage and diagnose .
There are some chinese brand 3600 double atx psus available that can run many cards
But yeah its more of a peference , Cause in my country its really cheap to get 5-6 slotted 1-2 gen i5 cpu + processor + 4 gb ram + 160gb hdd  in 50$
and these are old sli boards and u can run  2 cards directly on board (although not recommended if you dont have proper support for cards )

Amd is a lot harder to setup then Nvidia , I wouldn't recommend Amd to any newbie because of the custom straps / Bios to gain extra performance.
While Nvidia is a lot easier , Just plug and play for good performance , Tweak the clocks and TDP for better performance and Efficency (Not that much difference in performance but lot less power consumption )
and Overclocking and changing TDP is just as easy as installing msi after burner and playing with the sliders .
I myself have had several problems with my Amd setups while my Nvidia 1080 ti rig is running rock solid Smiley

I have 2x gigabyte aurous and 2x gigabyte aurous extreme  1x zotac amp extreme core and I am satisfied with all of them they all give approx the same hashes at similar overclock  under Tdp
gigabyte has better temperature but the fan speed is faster
Anyways whichever 1080 ti u get except the blower fans , will most like give similar performance , hence get the cheapest one available or which looks appealing to you

Re: Good coin to mine on mobile
by
killerelite
on 28/12/2017, 02:59:04 UTC
Wait what u really want to mine with your phone
It’s definitely not worth it
Not only will u reduce ur phone life by a lot u might actually fry them sooner or later
Also they will use a lot more energy then they will produce coins unless u use newer models and it’s a lot better to buy a Cpu rig for mining then buying mobiles for mining
Theoretically is possible and even practically it’s doable but in real world usage it’s not worth doing it unless u are doing it just as a hobby
