Hello, I am a student mathematician of Siberian State University. Our platform https://scientificcoin.com is recruiting users.
We do not sell anything, but we need experts, developers, scientists, and journalists. SCIENTIFICCOIN is a Blockchain platform for scientific projects with decentralized evaluation.

https://scientificcoin.com (the main information website of the project).
https://scientificcoin.io (the beta version of the crowdfunding platform for scientific researchers).
https://hireascientists.com (freelance platform for the science industry).

I hope I did not inconvenience you with my letter.

Regular currency is not tied to real world production – it hasn’t been the case for decades. US and EU can print dollars and euros at will. In that sense – bitcoin and other crypto currencies aren’t different from traditional currency. The value of both is determined by the market.. or people’s consensus if you prefer.

Most likely this will be pretty much the same authoritarian countries that are already known for limiting personal rights and free exchange of information. Some potential candidates would be Russia, Iran or Saudi Arabia for instance

Bitcoin banned to use as a payment method for IPs, since that would have been a good way to dodge taxation. But that's not so different from the multitude of other laws pertaining to what IPs can and can not do with other digital currencies and payment systems.

Re: 3 Simple Rules to ICO the SEC Way
by

on 13/12/2017, 17:34:13 UTC
The most serious implication is your day of reckoning will come if you didn't issue/sell your coins in a legal, compliant and ethical way as deemed by the SEC. Roughly these past and present issuers will be scrutinized and face serious consequences if they didn't. Best for ICO issuers to stick to regulatory practices in line with accredited investor raises. Currently ICOs shouldn't be issued to unaccredited investors but I have a feeling the legality of that will change soon enough . Wink

Re: Is it illegal for someone to hack my BTC wallet?
by

Of course hacking per se is not illegal; the actual offense is something like “gaining unauthorized access to a computer”. If it’s not your account, and you keep guessing the password or reset questions till you get in, clearly that’s unauthorized access.

Well, after China banned ICOs and exchanges, Japan took its place. I am not sure what country is best for btc buisnesses, but I bet Japan maybe the one. It’s pretty hard to answer as countries are different and they all have some pros and cons.

There are no regulations governing bitcoins in India. It may be recalled that the Reserve Bank of India had in February this year advised that it has not given any licence/ authorisation to any entity/ company to operate such schemes or deal with bitcoins or any virtual currency

Re: Do you use Tor?

Yes, but less than most people might assume, lol.
My most common use of Tor is on open wireless networks.  I know too much about how easy it is for someone with a Raspberry Pi in their pocket to scrape every unencrypted password off the unencrypted WiFi and analyze it all at his or her leisure, and Tor encrypts that first hop.

Bitcoin is not a company; it is not owned by anyone. It is a technology that uses a cryptographic method to exchange money. It is almost like a P2P Torrent system except what they share is a cryptographic currency. No one can acquire it as there is no company or software one can buy up. Everyone using Bitcoin is in charge of the network.More over even the creator of Bitcoin is anonymous.

Inasmuch as bitcoins are not in the hands of government , many countries have banned it and are in the phase on banning bitcoins.A lot of countries are afraid that Bitcoins interrupts with the way their economy function. I think is more and more usage of Bitcoin will emerge, when people see the endless boundaries of it.

When using a Bitcoin client for the first time it takes HOURS AND HOURS to download the freaking blockchain and it is only going to get worse over time, especially as micro-transactions become more common.

A great portion of Africa people do not have access to banking services. Because of the wild landscape and many remote villages, it is not easy for someone to go to the Bank. Bitcoin, does not need bank infrastructure, so it can be easily used wherever there is internet connectivity. More over bitcoin make payments and wallets available, wherever there is an internet connection.

Re: Why Crypto Detective Agency is started?
by
kris_wolf
on 29/11/2017, 05:15:58 UTC
The Crypto-Detective agency would help the  government to control companies working with cryptocurrencies. Its main goal is to avoid money laundering, tax evasion and funding for terrorism. This agency will be able to extract information about their beneficiaries and their real state of affairs.
The decision of creating a crypto-regulatory agency is to protect  citizens. Scams, fraudulent, criminal fundraising and other illegal activities can be carried out with decentralized cryptocurrencies. In this way, there is a reduction of dangers for the investments. In addition to it, investors are protected by the government in case they are scammed.

Re: Blockchain and DMCA
by
kris_wolf
on 28/11/2017, 07:33:17 UTC
DMCA  helps media companies fight copyright infringement. These include blocking access/removing material which infringes copyrights when they receive notification. As a result, service providers are prompt in taking action when they receive complaints under the DMCA
The immutable nature of blockchain provides an excellent way to validate proof of existence. The blockchain doesn't differentiate between big media companies and individuals; anybody can record the hash of a file on the blockchain. As i know, the biggest advantage of using the blockchain to record proof of existence is that it can be done almost immediately and at a very low cost. Arbitrators in disputes over copyright can use the blockchain to recognize ownership of intellectual property.
