Re: Investment is for everyone

Investing is often presented as a universal key to wealth, but it's not so simple. It's a good skill to multiply wealth, to maintain wealth, too. But if you're not careful enough, you can also have a major loss.
It's a long process that requires the ability to take risks and learn from mistakes.
Also, it's easier when you have more money to try different things.

Re: How quickly do you forget a loss
by

I don't get upset about losses. Even if I was hopeful, it takes me, like, less than 5 minutes to bounce back. To me, it's about  self-control, not getting too emotionality invested in gambling. The advantage is that you don't get addicted, and you don't suffer. But there is a downside to it, too: I don't feel overly excited when I win either.

Re: The Burnout Cult & Remote Revolution

I like flexible work, but there are also important downsides. When you love what you do, you want to do more, do it faster, do it better. Burnout often doesn’t come from routine, but from being too passionate and not knowing where to draw the line.
That also requires being more responsible, and while I enjoy responsibility, I realize it's not for everyone.

Re: How do you see slots game?
by

It's problematic when a big win feels like a big story, with a continuation sure to follow. But slots don’t create a logical plot. A win can be compared to a lightning strike: bright and sudden, and you shouldn’t expect it to happen again.

Congrats on your win — may it leave a joyful mark in your heart and be a good reason for smart choices.

Re: How can you enjoy the game when you are losing?
by

Gambling isn’t just a game—it’s a reflection of personal inner searches. Many see losing as failure, but in fact it reveals deep motives: a hunger for risk, a desire for control, or an urge to try one's luck. Money might not be the main goal here. People might come back not for the win, but to feel they still have the power to choose.
Or, without thinking too deep into it, I'd say that enjoying gambling while losing money, without building a strategy to win is just treating it as entertainment. One could say 'why buy music albums if you can listen to music for free' or 'why go to the cinema if you can just watch something online for free'. I'm okay with paying for the process, that's how I see it.

Re: When you're winning you can't sleep
by

Some people can’t sleep after winning, others — after losing. Thankfully, I don't have either. I mean, I do have major sleeping issues and was prescribed certain pills to help with that, but that's got nothing to do with gambling.
However, I sometimes struggle to sleep both when I'm excited and when I'm feeling very down, so I can partially relate to that. It’s not just emotions, but a kind of mental overload. It’s not really about the result, but how deeply we’re involved.

Re: Currency Debasement Vs Inflation
by
kryptqnick
on 24/07/2025, 10:18:38 UTC
Inflation means rising prices. Currency devaluation is when people lose trust in money because of political or economic decisions. But it's an interesting point to consider overprinting of fiat debasement. I've always thought of debasement in the context of silver, gold and such matters, but I believe you are right that nowadays the method is different, but the point is the same.
When money becomes unstable, it’s hard for people to save, plan, or grow. Bitcoin offers more than just technology—it’s an idea: value based on clear rules, limited supply, and freedom from central control. It’s not perfect—it's volatile and needs some skill to use. But it's a step toward financial freedom in a world where stability is no longer guaranteed.

Re: Don't Cap Bitcoin: The Game Never Ends
by

Everything dies at some point. Even the universe probably will. As for Bitcoin, it's currently technologically relevant, but we honestly can't know right now for how long it's going to be this way.
There's also a certain limit on the price of Bitcoin at any given time. The global economy can be monetized, and Bitcoin cannot be worth more than all of the goods and services in the world. Of course, the global economy can grow, but it does so pretty slowly.
It's okay not to set a strict limit on how high the BTC price will reach, but there is a ceiling for that. Moreover, having a target in mind can be helpful to decide when one is actually ready to use/spend Bitcoin, and not just hodl it.

Re: Drinking vs Gambling
by
kryptqnick
on 20/07/2025, 11:43:38 UTC
One explanation could be that alcohol advertising is seen as part of cultural norms. Its harm is well known, but often ignored. People justify alcohol with traditions, rituals, and the idea that “it’s better to drink than to use drugs.”
Gambling, however, has often been condemned historically.

That being said, I really think it depends on a country. In my country, gambling is legal, and there are ads of casinos, slots, and stuff like that pretty much everywhere. Alcohol is also legal, but its advertising is seriously restricted, so it's actually very uncommon to see alcohol ads these days.

In my view, both gambling and alcohol can be okay in moderation but lead to issues in case of overuse. But alcohol also has a direct negative impact on one's physical and mental health, can make a person aggressive and problematic to others as well.

Re: Can Your Name Become an Economy? Why Building Your Own Personal Brand Matters
by
kryptqnick
on 20/07/2025, 11:01:49 UTC
I think it's great when reputation becomes more valuable than money. This really helps to make deals with people, understanding how much they'd risk if they decide to set you up or something.
Unfortunately, reputation is still not something particularly important in my country, and people rebrand fairly easily over the years.
Some people can make a brand out of themselves, but honestly, I wouldn't want that even if I could. That means too much attention, too little freedom in activities and life choices because of how that might affect the market.

Re: Changing strategy to win !
by
kryptqnick
on 18/07/2025, 05:31:08 UTC
In my view, placing new bets requires a clear mind, not belief in miracles. Or rather, being calm enough and not too emotionally invested in hoping for a big win. Still, for many people, that belief is exactly why they play. Some change their approach, others stick to their “trusted” methods — but both face the same thing: chance is stronger than expectations.
So as long as there's a sense of joy in the process, and an ability to control one's budget and not get in trouble with losing too much money, it's okay to do whatever feels right for a particular person. I don't think it affects the chances of winning, but it can improve one's mood and help focus on more positive moments, which is a win in my book.

Re: How FOMO Hurts the World's Poor
by
kryptqnick
on 18/07/2025, 05:26:49 UTC
These are acute observations. It's not all FOMO, and it's good that big economies, which often are also the biggest pollutants, are moving toward green energy and other improvements. The ideas aren't bad, but they often don’t match local realities. Especially when the rules are made for the benefit of those already ahead. Real development means working with what you truly have, without copying, and with a clear understanding of what it’s for and who it’s meant to help.
Ukraine, for example, tried moving toward a more eco-friendly path, but obviously, the ongoing war requires a lot of oil, a lot of fossil fuel, and brings a lot of destruction. So sometimes, it's also about the circumstances that make it very difficult and even impractical to follow important global trends.

Re: Slots: Same Machine VS Different ones.
by
kryptqnick
on 17/07/2025, 05:52:50 UTC
Slot games are always about chance. The same machine or online slot can go a long time without paying out, and then suddenly surprise you with a big win. If the game brings enjoyment and stays within reasonable limits, that’s already a good outcome. And a x312 win is definitely something to be happy about. It's nice to beat the odds this way. And hey, with $2 as a bet, it's actually decent money you've won. Congratulations!
