How come my Cooler Master PSU (gxii-650w), when start the power up, the cube will have the 'click' sound and my PSU & cube are shutdown. need to redo the step few times then working.
any solution to fix?
my PSU is using the 'paper clip trick' to power up the PSU.
Another Question: How come i Overclock the cube to HIGH CLOCK, my router connection become lagging and my other computer can't surf internet already. i'm using the PSU(Cooler Master PSU (gxii-650w)).
This is really strange. I set up a new cube last night and it seemed to be running fine for about an hour, but by the time I was preparing to go to bed it had dropped to a flat 0. It seems to function in short bursts getting to ~600MH/s but always flatlines after a few seconds. I was hoping it was a problem with Slush's pool and not on my end but it doesn't look like that's the case.
First of all, a big thanks to Dogie for the setup guide.
I'm looking for the collective wisdom on the best fan replacement for the Cube. I am looking for one as quiet as I can get it while moving enough air to run in overclocked mode. Specific model recommendations would be dandy (I read earlier in the thread that someone recommended a Scythe Gentle Typhoon model), but even knowing the minimum CFM rating it needs would be very helpful.
I tried Corsair AF 120 Quiet Edition, didn't worked...
Does the new fan have 2 wires or 3? The cube requires a 3 wire fan (the 3rd wire is for the fan tacho, without it the cube thinks there is no fan installed, so it shuts down to stop over heating)
I hooked the CUBE and the Laptop to a "TP-LINK POE Switch" and it immediately start mining as expected. I guess the reboot comes from a watch dog which reboots when it fails to mine.
Of course the POE function of the switch is useless but at least the switch enables the Miner to mine.
I've been having a weird issue where one of my cubes randomly shuts "off" I say off in quotes because it's still getting some power, but only 1 of the 2 power lights will be on (the 2 vertically stacked, the top stays on) and the fan continues to blow, but it pushes cold air and the device doesn't hash or respond to web requests. I can then un-plug and re-plug one of the 2 plugs (doesn't matter which) and it magically whirs to life again, for some random amount of time.
I have 2 cubes (and 1 BFL miner, no oc, total power should be < 700w) running of a Corsair AX860i, and it's always the same cube having the issue so I don't think it's a power issue. The fuse looks fine and I don't see anything wrong looking at the board.
Anyone else have this problem?
Ok this is not the fuse, I also unplugged the working one, it still shuts off. I will try to replace the fan...

Having absolutely the same issue... I replaced the fuse, wait & see...
tried also different but I really don't think it is the proxy.
Concerning the Long Polling. It starts with long polling then disables it then a little bit later it makes restart.
Can you tell me what is normal state of the Miner? LED OFF or LED RED ??
I wait for the 750 corsair PSU hope this can help or I have an expensive brick.
The real problem is the restart. Is there possibility to login to the device and see more info with USB or this other service port?
You have a network issue not PSU ! I had the same thing restarting every 2 minutes with long poll inactive, you have to see carefully that your cube is still changing pool (A to B, B to A) at every refresh...
Normal state is LED RED at start, then when you mine it will off & on...
^ Thanks a bunch, that helped a lot! I just opened it all up again and took each blade out, and a good percentage of the heatsinks screws were loose, so I tightened all four up on each blade and powered back on; unfortunately it's the same.
Every blade works in low clock mode.
As soon as I switch to high clock and click reset they turn to x's, sometimes I get a few o's momentarily, but eventually they revert to x's.
Clicking clock mode back to low does not work unless I power off/on the PSU again.
Once the power has been turned on/off it mines at 32 gh/s in low clock mode no problems.
Same problem here ! I saw in an earlier post, that you had to test a blade one by one in high clock mode, when you insert the blade that fails the high clock then this is it !
That's just for the management interface, I switched it to port 80 so it'd be the regular http port. The cube communicates to the stratum proxy via port 8332.
*I will try it just in case, I'll switch the port back to 8000 and refresh.
