The dev team has already added a mapped out plan for the held coins. These coins are not owned by the dev team personally but are there for different stages of development. Ive been here from the start and have had not only good stakes but also have seen the fairness of the dev team first hand.
some thing fishy here....some one from dev should clarify it....as per whitepaper devolopment they allocated around 20%...it looks top 10 had above 85% of supply.....if that is the case....another scam coming ....hope its not as i brought some coins from exchange.....dev...pl clarify it..

wow...u mean half of coins owned by single account...then dev must address this? otherwise serious flaw in this proj...need to off the boat....can some explain me if i misunderstood some own over mill of total 3 mil supply?
All TOP10 Addresses own almost 88% of the whole supply.
So far it looks only like dev's "make my ass rich" blockchain.

Yes, they do stake. You can see it in the explorer, that almost every block is mined by this address.

anyone got some reward from PoS already? How many coins is good value for stake?
I find it bit tricky when the name of coin has "Ethereum" and beeing just a NovaCoin fork.

About renaming:
I would say that using 'coin' in the name is deprecated already.
The name should refer to the main functionality of HOdlcoin project:
1. Depon
2. Depos
3. Depot
...and these days adding 'Network' or 'Platform'to the name, make it sounds more PRO ;-)
Those are my strong suggestion for your consideration

I also mined about 800 coins over night and 400 on another pc and when I transferred they have come up conflicted also the new coins have vanished

Guys, I can confirm, that all issues with old unconfirmed transactions and any unsuccessful attempts of making new transaction were resolved by running "hodlcoin-qt -zapwallettxes=1".
Now everything seems to work just fine.
@ksmd thanks for the info and did you run that in the shortcut properties or .conf file or from a command line in the console?

I just did a small test transaction over at CoinExchange.IO. I sent some bitcoin there and bought some HOdl and then sent that Hodl to a local wallet and re-locked it for a year.
Everything went very smooth so if you're looking to buy/sell be sure and get over to CoinExchange.IO
P.S. I like a security feature they have there so when you initiate a transfer to withdraw funds they send you an email with a verification link that must be completed before the transaction will proceed. Pretty cool!
