The new beta version is ready. It is mostly a bugfix release, the more significant upgrades are coming next month. You can download PhoenixMiner 6.0a from here:

PhoenixMiner_6.0a_Windows.zip
PhoenixMiner_6.0a_Linux.tar.gz

The new features in this release are:
  • Full LHR disable mode -lhrdis <n>  1 - yes (default), 0 - no
  • Show the GPU vendor name in the list of GPUs to make it easier to identify the GPUs
  • Added support for the latest AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1. There are some bugs in these drivers, particularly the clocks and voltages can't be set properly with older
    cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII)
  • Validated support for the latest AMD Windows drivers up to 21.11.2
  • Fixed issues with AMD RX6700XT cards with the latest AMD and Linux drivers
  • Fixed issues with AMD Vega and Radeon VII cards on latest Windows and Linux drivers
  • Fixed crash with very old Nvidia drivers (3xx.x)
  • Other fixes and small improvements

The updated list of known issues (driver incompatibilities, etc.) and workarounds:
AMD Linux driver 21.40.1 has a bug preventing proper setting of clocks and voltages on older cards (RX4x0/RX5x0/Vega/RadeonVII). Given that these drivers are also
usually slower than the older drivers for these cards, we recommend using Linux drivers 20.30 for anything older than RX6000 series.
If you are using Linux drivers 21.40.1 with Radeon VII cards, you need to add the option -fpwm 1 in order to have proper fan control.
AMD Linux drivers 21.40.1 has finally removed the requirement of PCIe atomics but there are problems when you try to mix Polaris (RX4x0/5x0) cards and Vega or newer
cards on the same rig.
Some Nvidia cards will report a lot of stale shares under Windows 11. Using the same driver version under Windows 10 resolves the issue.

1) Never used it in real life yey (hoping to)

2) Definitely. Problem with btc payment is the volatility. Imaging paying 5$ for a drink and a week later realised that that drink was 10$.

3) Ethereum/Litecoin. BTC fees abit high.

4) Seoul

It really is getting out of hand. It's a problem when new / inexperienced people looking to enter crypto sees this ICO as their first taste of crypto and end up getting burned. The fact that ICOs use facebook / instagram to promote to unsuspecting people... really worrying

Read through some ways and just wanted to suggest funding. It is not earning per se since you have to start of with a sizeable amount of BTC. Funding on poloniex sometimes the rate can get pretty high, so far the most reliable i know of.

poloniex is a good exchange with high volume in many coins with a lot of whales But still have some shit coins . also sometimes you need to trade alts coins that not yet listed in poloniex.
i do trade in these exchanges with order :
1-poloniex
2-bittrex
3-cex
4-yobit
Thanks

I tend to look at the highest few volume coins only especially at the margin section. the lending feature is great as well

Well, I made $20 after 5 days and I just started at $1. Seriously. What I did is I researched a lot in every single coin with high volume. Then I invested on some potential coins that might raise asap. I chose those coins with high volume w/ low price (ex. PEO, which is trash right now btw, @ 9 sats) then I tried to put a hype (which turned out to be effective) and many people bought the coins. After earning, I know that people are gonna dump the coin so I never came back to PEO anymore.
You see, this is about making a hype or riding with the hype
Actually, the ultimate key to earn is to buy low and sell high. It might take days, but it's all worth it as long as the coin is not going to dump w/in 96 hours or you're dead
Totally agree with you . the key point you did is research -deep research about the coin . even if you loose after some dump definitely the coin will raise again because it has potential.
Thanks for sharing experience.

what kinda characteristics do you look at

in my experience, the fundamentals of trading altcoins is the same as trading every other asset that has ever been, since people invented trading;
invest some time in studying fundamentals of trading, read every good book you can find.
anyone can easily find beginner or specialized lists of books online everywhere and most of them will be available as pdf downloads.

trading fundametals involves looking at the fundamentals of the asset. for alt coins, anyone knows what fundamentalsare there to look at

Re: BITCOIN going up or down
by

It would be very nice to see -april fools joke-as one good dump and fast recovering of price.
This would be best prank ever..But please let it go to 100$. We had too much of stagnation, it is boring.

It did reach lows of $415, but now it seems to be rising steadily.
Nobody is going to spend money and dump bitcoins just for an April fools' prank.

The price is sitting within $415 to $420 for a long time with very minor fluctuations. So this time price is not going up or down just sustaining within a limit.

Yeah its a good sign of a stable price so there wont be a panic in the market, its been like this for several days and that is good.

no matter how calm and stable the current market may look, it can change in a matter of minutes when a whale starts with unloading huge loads of coins. people will panic and start selling as result. and on top of that, stop loss orders may get triggered to make the price tank even further.

Yeah right... It's a chain effect when  a whale pull us all...when they start to sell in bulk, price movement is noticeable, and most probably if a new bitcoin holder see the candlestick starts to go red and long, they will drop and join it as they are scare or in panic when it happens...But with today's price seems like we are really moving on almost a flat line which I think could only mean that we will be seeing only small price movement..

a lot people have been waiting for such a stability, and i think this month will not be different from previous month. if we rise $10-$20 this month from current price, then it's perfectly fine. growth is growth.

I hope we see steady growth from now on. Erratic volatile growth doesnt help adoption

If you make a shit tonne of alt accounts and then sign up for a lot of signature campaigns and then spam everyday of your life. Very easy.

Thats just a bad plan, because you would have to wait for like a year for your account be be even worth something, and then you would get banned on all your accounts
for spamming. You may want to change your thinking.
Bitcoin was not intended as something that everyone would just milk dry, but rather use it and support the project.

I agree. Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme. It is a revolution and an idea
