It looks like no one from team is attending this thread anymore to answer the questions and drop in updates if there are any. Monacoin brings people back on when prices are rising this is becoming obvious.
Agree with you that the topic is almost inactive, especially the MONA team's activities.
if the current situation won't change positively, the community will soon lose their faith in MONA project.
There's only one dev and afaik he's never posted in this thread and probably doesn't even have an account. Anyone you're probably mistaking as devs are just end users. BCT is *not* where the majority of the Monacoin community is, https://askmona.org is (as mentioned before).

Can someone tell me if this was a fake airdrop site or if i missed an information ? (if you're not sure of your info, don't reply no need to pollute this thread, i am looking for someone who is aware of and / or involved in the project)

how to overclock. we are seeing sometimes incredible gigahash rate for example 50 gh.
zigminer said here that it can't overclock https://askmona.org/3738#res_245

why do you put phpbash file in image. this hacking tool.
do you know it. would you please make it secure.
I'd expect you should be able to mount the drive and remove it yourself anyway instead of waiting for them to?

[EDIT]   looks like your algo is not oke = Lyra2v2   should be : Lyra2REv2
lyra2v2 is a valid alias for lyra2rev2 - if you use ccminer "lyra2v2" is what you usually pass to mine mona. this is probably not related to your issue at that pool.

OpenCL requires AMDGPU-PRO and that AUR package has been orphaned.

You don't need the full set of amdgpu-pro drivers - I use the in kernel amdgpu driver with the following AUR package, which isn't orphaned:

Code:
aur/opencl-amd 17.40.492261-1 (34, 5.12)
OpenCL userspace driver as provided in the amdgpu-pro driver stack. This package is intended to work along with the free
    amdgpu stack.

I think if you release a pre-compiled Linux version, you might run into issues with library incompatibilities - I assume you'd be compiling on Ubuntu and it could have older libraries not compatible with current libraries on Arch Linux for example.

What about editing the host file to point at the relevant pools IP address? Also trying to setup for Galactum. Miner loads then wants to exit(pause).
Enforced usage of TLS prevents this from being a workaround, I believe.

uh oh must have a know it all Yankee and even worse a grammar Nazi...  ok well then we will call it my personal targets and hey guess what, every one was met.. yep made thousands and thousands of $$$ off of a .45 coin 20 bagger plus.  If you didnt or of you did who cares not going to argue with a negative piss ass over comas and inability to comprehend simple social media conversations on a very successful cryptocurrency.
lol I'm just trying to keep people from spreading misinformation because there is a lot of misinformation going around in the English-speaking world on Monacoin. Like those "ATMs" people keep talking about? Those were never physical ATMs, those were people/businesses who signed up on Zaif to act as brokers for exchanging currencies without needing the end user to register or show ID - and this platform had to shutdown because Japanese law would have required them all to register as exchanges with the government.

I am speaking for me but I was in communication with Japanese consumers a retailer and event host in Tokyo first week of October. If you see a post from me Ive done my homework. I don't spin up stories its as factual as I can get it. If you're late you're late.

The Akihabara campaign downtown Tokyo , objective mas media exposure of Monacoin as something much more than a gaming coin.

https://monapo.com/lp/akiba2017/

translated

From October 25th to 31st, 2017, Monacoin promotion video will be aired on Akihabara UDX and Akihabara Radio Kaikan 's large display
!
Besides, computer shop arc and or sticker you get in's
lots to be fun! Please check with askmona for details .

Akihabara Radio Hall ... 1 hour to 4 times a day 56 times 10 pm from 8 am
Akihabara UDX ... 1 hour to 11 pm from 2:00 times a day 26 times the morning 9
during the period, computer shop arc 's If you shop at the original sticker will be given!

............

was a lot of fun

That was just one guy who goes by the name Tanaka (田中) who commissioned a promotional video from his friend for this, rented ad space in the two locations, and worked something out with Ark to advertise. Lots of people cooperated and were looking forward to it, but the campaign itself wasn't "targeting" anything with regard to Monacoin price like you're making it out to be. Also I don't know if you missed commas in your first sentence, or if English isn't your first language - either way it would be nice if you'd post these "communications" you had with said retailer and event host. I'm especially curious about this "retailers think of it as a $10 bill" that you didn't enlighten us on at all.

FYI, I'm the one who did a legitimate translation (and not the google translate thing you seem to have posted) for this back in October, even (so I'm hardly "late"): http://askmona.org/5563?n=1000#res_280 (bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=392436.msg23033264#msg23033264)

Good Morning, someone can help-me?

I'm search a lot but not sucess, don't found topic from ccminer

I'm have 2x 1060 and 2 1070 using Simplemining.

I config the miner to use lyra2rev2, but don't work, get error.
Already checked my worker, and lines configuration a milion times.

Help-me?

You should use the Monacoin community-maintained miner: https://github.com/Nanashi-Meiyo-Meijin/ccminer

The error you posted shows an issue with some shell script, likely because of the ccminer you're using might have different run procedures, so I can't help you much there.

All targets were hit in the first two months of this campaign with 1000 yen ( $8.90 USD) being a main goal as retailers think of it as a $10 bill. The response has been so good from consumers not only has 2000 yen been hit but expected to be the next store of value level.  Monacoin IMO is Asia's LTC to BTC and was the first coin to use Segwit, keeping that in mind and how LTC is doing this is by far my top long term hold for 2018.

I'm sorry, what? "targets", "campaign", "retailers think" - who are you speaking for?

Y'all sure love to spin up stories of your own, don't ya.

Speaking of SegWit, I didn't notice any new nodes on the lightning network http://54.201.194.99/ over the last month; none of y'all seem to be participating and there doesn't seem to be that big of a push for LN by the community lately.

Take the above with a grain of salt because that image is clearly edited and there is nothing official denoting any sort of relationship between Monacoin and the 2020 Olympics.

The selling point for me was when I saw that there are ATM's scattered all that you can withdraw in JPY
Zaif Smart ATMs shutdown last July because they were incompatible with Japanese laws.

So I've finally stood up a Discord server for Monacoin: discord gg dzSnTsT (replace as appropriate, or just use the invite code by itself when using your client)

上記書いたものは、モナコインのDiscord鯖を作成しました。日本人も大歓迎ので、是非参加してください。

Please note, spam will not be tolerated. I'll eventually remove this invite after a few pages.

We only accept translation fixes that are submitted through Bitcoin Core's Transifex page. Translations are converted to Monacoin periodically.

I read this phrase from your GitHub page.

Are you planning a new translation thread in transifex platform specially for your own project ?
The Monacoin client is primarily just a fork of Litecoin/Bitcoin, there's not much reason to have a Monacoin specific one since changes will be overwritten from upstream anyway.

Linux version will be added later if there is community interest.

I need a Linux version, considering I haven't used WIndows as my primary OS since 2006.

Is there information when they are about to do this?
The Ask Mona thread for LN is here: http://askmona.org/4955

At the moment development is (mostly? it's stagnated a bit) complete, and there have been a lot of successes - we just need more people to test/participate.

MONA is traded on Bitflyer my friend.

Open an account there and you'll see.

http://[url=https://imgur.com/LAE441A]https://imgur.com/LAE441A[/url]
Looks like there is a misunderstanding here. Do you think Americans can trade MONA/JPY? Bitflyer launched years ago in Japan (Jan 2014 https://ja.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bitflyer) and MONA/JPY trading was added back in October; I'm pretty sure I was one of the original people who informed English speakers that Monacoin was added to Bitflyer, in fact.

We are talking about Bitflyer USA which just launched recently. Americans cannot register on Bitflyer JP (there is, quite literally, a checkbox you need to check stating that you are not an American when you go to register (although you probably don't speak or read Japanese and thus probably never saw this disclaimer, if you're seriously telling me to open an account on Bitflyer JP like it's that easy)). Bitflyer USA does NOT have MONA/USD trading, or any altcoin trading as a matter of fact. Yet, at least, like I stated in my earlier post.

Here is the press release regarding Bitflyer USA: https://bitflyer.jp/pub/bitlicense-and-the-united-states-launch-ja.pdf

edit: sorry, posted the wrong press release from my browser history. fixed. (previous was https://bitflyer.jp/pub/bitflyer-to-expand-to-the-united-states-ja.pdf)

Monacoin Mahjong competition this weekend they pay out in MONA always a lot of fun for them

https://www60.atwiki.jp/monacoin_mahjong/

What kind of site is that ?... it looks like Einstein’s white paper ... couldn’t understand/read a word

haha thats a Japanese site you can translate the page. They have events in downtown Tokyo to attract more people to the shopping district. Would love to fly there in the spring and spend a weekend with them.

Monacoin mahjong isn't an offline event in Tokyo...it's completely online, on tenhou. 136 people joined last weekend (I was one of them and have been participating since 2014 lol - and I live in California). It's kind of difficult to support that kind of number physically every other weekend without some heavy preparation and cost.

Riichi mahjong's kind of like rummy but with tiles, for those unfamiliar with the game. Mona mahjong (basically a riichi mahjong tournament with monacoin prizes) is a weekly event (though became biweekly for the better part of 2017 during the stagnation period). This upcoming weekend actually marks the first non-biweekly monacoin mahjong tournament, with a new organizer on board (so there're 4 organizers now).

Bitflyer just started its US operations !

https://www.coinspeaker.com/2017/11/29/bitflyer-worlds-largest-bitcoin-exchange-launches-u-s/

A very good news for MONA as it will be available for US customers versus USD normally.

Monacoin trading is not available on Bitflyer. It's also not mentioned at all in the press release (while Litecoin trading, etc, are stated to launch in the first half of 2018). Whether or not this means Bitflyer USA will trade Monacoin or not is still up in the air, but I can at least confirm that as of launch (and today) that only USD-BTC trading is active on Bitflyer.

I can't tell you why Suprnova performs badly like this (I had a similar experience) but I can tell you that i have not yet found a good reliable Mona pool anywhere. One of the biggest I found was asicminer.info and it consistently under quoted my hash-rate by 20-30%.

Isn't it possible that it's because of the latency? Are any of the pools near you? Some pools have definitely been having trouble with the newfound interest though. I find it hard to believe that /all pool operators/ are trying to exploit users, especially given I was a pool operator back in the day who ran my pool at a loss (1% bonus) to get more people to mine Monacoin.

No use arguing on western bulletin boards, Westerners usually tend to ignore the cultural differences between countries. SKR itself may get adopted outside Japan, but inside it's probably not.

Also Ohashi, the original dev, gave up on the coin ages ago, I thought. He has literally no tweets on Sakuracoin - https://twitter.com/search?f=tweets&q=from%3Aohac%20%E3%82%B3%E3%82%A4%E3%83%B3&src=typd

You say "new developers," but is that the truth? I don't see you linking to a fork of Ohashi's repository, but Ohashi's repository itself - when it is most clearly dead. I highly doubt he gave you access to the repository either as no recent commits have been pushed to that repository.
