Re: Public address complexity and economy of a coin
by

on 16/10/2019, 06:12:22 UTC
Ok, do you think the complexity of public address affects the economy of a coin or a chain? For example, if bitcoin had an easy to remember the address, would it be adopted more readily? The same question is valid for ETH, of course.

People are irked by complex addresses and one of the reasons old folks are not into crypto is because everything is too complicated, as they are not computer age people like us. They like it simple and I tend to think that simpler addresses would help them adapt, and improve the crypto economy.
I found this site because a friend recommended it and all I did was enter my email and reserved a good name for myself. I am one of the people who missed the .com craze because I did not care to get a good domain name, although I could because I knew about it, now I am not gonna miss that one.

Having less complex addresses is a hassle for you. So use a lesser characters in names to promote much safer and easier transactions. Easy to understand address can prevent loss and provides assurance in the transactions. You'll not confuse yourself about the addresses and also the other people. Simpler address will do and helps develop the crypto community.

Simpler addresses do not matter much to the crypto community. So what do you mean by they helps develop the crypto community? In fact, complicated and long addresses protect the crypto community in some ways. Addresses which are long and complicated are hard to remember and copy, unlike simple addresses. And since it is always encouraged to use multiple wallet addresses, or even a single wallet address per transaction, addresses will really get more complicated in due time.
That is what the project is trying to achieve, the complicated address is hard to remember and so prone to mistakes by the owner. Having a shorter one is good and still have the high security just like for the long addresses.I think this will be very helpful to crypto space, we'll once it launched.

Re: Collecting Bitcoin Donations with a recognizable address

Choosing a custom name for a cryptoaddress is easily achieve with coins such as EOS, I think having such for bitcoin comes with its downsides as it erodes anonymity (which is something desirable), I think it is ok you do not have that for bitcoin. No address should be hidden for bitcoin transaction
I guess what they are trying to do is not to hide but to make it simpler. What I think is that they are going to provide an alternate version of your address from alphanumeric to much simple 8-16 characters. The idea is awesome to provide solution to the said problems.

Re: Access wallet addresses easily, without storing private keys or security phrases
by
leexhin

I'm pretty sure everyone has heard of that one person who's device was stolen, or their computer was hacked, stealing wallet addresses, private keys, and even security phrases. Well, that happened to me after someone broke into my hotel room and stole my work laptop.  Fortunately, before they could figure out how to withdraw the funds out of my wallets, I was able to extract the funds and send them to entirely new address, but the difficult part of this was remembering the addresses.  Storing the addresses seemed unlikely, since other secure information would also be stored in the same location.  All I really wanted to was keep an address book to help pay certain vendors and also make deposits into my own accounts.

I'm not sure why, but most wallets do not have an address feature.  Having a one stop shop for all your wallets just make the entire use case easier, and I believe it's that would help attract new crypto users to support the industry and it's movement.  An address book like Digital Names saved me a lot of time to pull up saved files and find the needed address.  Oh, and this is not limited to one specific blockchain, so you can have different wallet address like BTC, ETH, STEEM, ETC, and so on...

Use Digital names, because it helps you to easy remember your aliases in public addresses. It will help you to any transaction to easily pay someone using your account. It will also help you to secure your wallet address to prevent loss. Digital names will help you personally to make faster and quality transactions anytime.
Single crypto wallet must have a complex system behind, but once it work it would be really helpful especially for traders to avoid error while sending funds. Having digital name in crypto space is like having your own profile on facebook or twitter, they can imitate you but they can't duplicate you.

Re: (Guide) Paano kumuha ng Gcash Master Card (Delivery thru LBC)

Re: Can more ATM's increase adoption for Bitcoin?
by

I don't think these kind of idea is making sense since the bitcoin is volatile there will be more or less of fee every time the price of bitcoin moves. And it's hard for banks to regulate this kind of cryptocurrency where speculation is the core therefore the price isn't controlled unless there will be some policy that limits the bitcoin transaction per day. Hence for me this wasn't a good idea.

Re: Take advantage of this recent pull-back.
by

on 27/09/2019, 15:53:22 UTC
The pull back wasn't that drastic to make a meal out of the situation and it has started to show recovery instinct, and the year is all most up so I don't see bitcoin getting to $15000 this year anymore, probably sometime next year
$15000 isn't that impossible to reach before 2019 ends, hopefully it would. The recent market situation is a big opportunity to grab for now as market is showing recovery right after it went down, profit is possible for average investors. I guess this was just a whale trap set up with the launch of BAKKT to make people not to give a shot on BAKKT. What do you think of it ?

The new investors are really opportunists.. They invest only to chase profits. The impact of these shitty investors may endup the project itself because of the manipulation and the greed which is enough to end the projects whole life.
Yeah, I've seen them asking questions here on this section. It's really disgusting how they show their greediness thinking they could get rich with this industry, I pity them. Most of them are just caught between 2017 to 2018 where bitcoin recognized the world after it went all time high reaching $20000. But we can't blame them as they are what they are, money is money.

Re: Fundamental or technical, which one you do used?
by

on 27/09/2019, 15:34:19 UTC
Technical and fundamental analysis are two ways of trading that are interconnected, Both must be in line in order to get maximum results, but for some people who doing short-term trading so they must really understand about technical analysis. Whereas for the long term fundamental analysis has an important role.
Yeah, why would someone separate the fundamental from technical? fundamental are the obvious and basic ones while technical is based on the charts, price movements and history. These two are always needed when trading, the buy low sell high strategy is fundamental and ready charts are technical. What you extra need is some kind of speculation reading since the market is built that way.

Lols, Libra to become the world currency and possibly replace the USD! the government and Bankers are going to fight Libra more on this area. I don't believe Libra can become the currency of the world. They should think of bitcoin.
As libra being also hype like bakkt because it is the currency of the most used social networking site, Facebook, there would be some issues to throw at them since they have been involved in data scandal breaching with cambridge analytica back in 2018 havesting millions of personal data by facebook users and lost billions on facebook's capitalization. Libra is still at study, don't hype like you're sure about it. Just look at BAKKT now.

Re: artificial intelligence can be dangerous
by

on 27/09/2019, 14:32:19 UTC
Artificial Intelligence is a great feat in technological advancement, but just like other advancement it's dangerous. Humans will always rule over these things because humans have the intellect of devicing new means of facing challenges when it comes unlike AI which is a programmed computer software intended for a particular task. Failure or fault in AI can Marr many things.
I've been reading some articles about artificial Intelligence and as what I've read AI is not that risky if implemented and created with cautions. Artificial Intelligence could probably break the glass from learning where do we came from or even how the universe started that is how intelligent it could be if we can design it properly. As of now, AIs do have limits and is weak for universal studies.

I can't get what you are trying to impose, tax is the source of many. We can't live with our own hands at our own expense taxation is the blood of the government to work, its community projects, government employees even the road you drive is product of taxation. There will be substantial deficits if we don't have taxes and worst case scenario there will be more crimes.

Re: Facebook Cryptocurrency
by

It is not available as of yet but soon it will be. Let’s just wait till then. I think it will have an impact on prices of alts since they are already bleeding in today’s market as of 2019, but this will bring new competition to BTC. Let’s see what happens with the price of BTC.
In connection with btc, libra will have less impact since it doesn't have any direct relation to bitcoin but with the market itself. Like for example, Bakkt, people blame the launch of bakkt after bitcoin downed a thousand dollars right after it introduced to the market, why? because it is hyped by many which has been taken by the whales for granted. New currency does not have direct affect on prices, speculation does.  Wink

Re: Be careful of Bitcoins giveaways that are too good to be true
by

It offers 2X of the amount of money you send in.

I can't believe that people fall in those scams. Have you ever seen in real life someone tell you "Transfer me some money in my bank account. I will transfer you back 2x."

Why would someone do this?
People are insane with bitcoin...

Bitcoin is not a tool to make people get rich quick. It is just a currency. It works as a currency.
I don't get people who eats this kind of scam, I don't really get it, It is very obvious when something is good to be true that is 90% or a total scam. This reflects the greediness of people behind the cryptocurrency, they always expect a great return in no time, you're right they want to get rich quick not knowing what they are stepping into. Its 2019, don't fall with this ponzi schemes.

I think it would be a bull run ,
This could lead to a great start for 2019 I hope that we could see a great start for next year.
If this is a dead cat bounce then we should prepare for a huge drop.

Huge bounty rewards but most of them are worthless,
What ever the bounty hunter wants they could sell them as soon as they get it,
Or wait till it goes up some of them also play with the token they would sell some and buy back when the price falls down.
