It's not a prediction, Coinbase really announced that they're going to list those coins. You should follow all of their social media channels, newsletter and blog site.
That's the tweet that they'll be adding those coins yesterday.

That would be already too late...

Hey there guys,

I saw a few users predicting $NKN and $ENJ were going to be listed on CoinBase a few days before the official Coinbase announcement.

How can be that predictable without internal information?

Thanks!

Is there such thing as a “safe strategy”?

Hi there!

I’m quite new into trading of any sort. I started by shorting BTC when price was trending down. I made some profits and then I lost it all... several times.

Besides potential gains, I love all the knowledge on markets and economics I’m getting by experimenting.

I’m not looking to be a full time trader. I just want to do one or two trades per week focusing on modest gains but low risk.

For example: I though that trading on the first minutes of an IEO was a safe option. But after reviewing how previous Launchpad projects went on the firsts minutes I does not looks like a low risk strategy at all.

So my question is: Is there such thing like low risks strategies? If yes, what could be an example of that?

Thank you!

Thank you guys, I have a more clear idea now.
Anyways, I can't imagine a real whale transferring to Binance 1000 BTC. I guess whales will always use OTC for moving funds to and from Exchanges.

Re: If you had 4,000.00 USD, what would you invest in?

If the goal is investing mid term (3~5 years): Personally, I would invest that amount diversified between BTC and ETH. Maybe 60% on BTC and 40% on ETH.

Now we are probably arriving to the top of a bull run, but institutional investment, like Tesla's, clearly suggest that price will continue to raise after the next correction.

Ethereum in the other hand, is supporting many crypto projects, so if it fails, it will bring many project down with it which in my opinion is a very unlikely scenario.

How to read whale alerts?
by
lichig
on 05/04/2021, 19:03:55 UTC
Hello guys,

When I see a Whale Alert on twitter, the replies following a given alert looks like going on the opposite direction of what I am interpreting on that alert.

For example, I see an alert like:

"🚨 500 BTC transferred from unknown wallet to Coinbase"

My interpretation of this, is that this whale is expecting the price to go up, so its moving a part of their BTC into an exchange to start trading leveraging that capital.

But, the comments I read on the style "game over" or "time to move to ETH" suggest the opposite.

How do you guys read the Whale Alert tweets?

Thanks!

In a recent Lex Fridman podcast episode, episode #171, Anthony Pompliano shared his reflections on how and when, he said end of 2026, one BTC will be worth USD 1 million.

The real question is what if the ONE MILLION you have in mind will be reached but will not be the one you have in mind?
The dollar is devaluing so much against btc and it may well be possible that btc will reach that level but one dollar of those days will not buy what you expect to buy from one dollar of today.
Inflation, QE and all the rest of it are nasty things, my friend.

Yes, I reflect about this always, I am original from a south american country and I know inflation first hand.

I am giving up trading. DCA resulted to be the best trading strategy for me.

Hey guys, I wanted to share with you my short history of Bitcoin trading.

So, one thing led to another, and when I realized I was trading on Binance...

I am not a trader, and I have not a trader background, so I was doing some very basic operations, mostly: selling when price was too high according my analysis and buying back on the mini-dips. Also I was buying at low price, again according to my speculations, using loans and paying back the loan as soon as I made some profit.

But after a few months I finally gave up on this experiment of playing the trader due the following reasons:

1) This is a full time job. To be a trader requires to be on top of the news, to be on top of the charts all the time.

2) Since my capital was small, my margins were smaller (USD 100 per operation, and normally I was able to make 1 or 2 operations per day) — I got paid way more than that on my real day job.

3) It is stressing. Many times, I saw the price go higher and higher as soon as I sold in the hope of price going down.

4) It is a lot of "gambling" involved and I do not enjoy that.

5) I happened to me, almost every week, to lose all the gains that took me several days to make in just one operation.

6) Bitcoin does not give a damm. It doesn't matter if ALL of the indicators are predicting a trend. Bitcoin does not give a damn "nobody knows if a stock is going to go up, down, sideways or in circles".

So I decided, the best strategy for me it is just DCAing. Every Friday I'm buying 5% of my paycheck, Whatever it is the price.

Thank you to all of you who help me with many of the questions I posted on the forum. I'm now here for the long haul.

Thank you guys.
I would also agree that 20% of the entire gold market-cap is doable if the general public and institutional adoption continues the current pace.

I read this many many times,
Is there any solid fundamentals in the conception that 1BTC could be worth USD 1 MILLION or even more?
Or it is just wishful thinking?

Thank you!

using twitter drama and SMA EMA is NOT technical analysis. its deemed as TREND analysis

true technical analysis is studying bitcoins UTXO set of coins moving in the last 2 years (active circulation)
hint(utxo age distribution)

...

Wow Franky, Thank you very very much for putting that reply together, This is amazing information.
Very much appreciated, really!

Thank you for the answers!
Incredible that there is a chance that this was just a random number. For a system like this, so well thought out, defining things just arbitrarily sounds a little off. Maybe someday we will have confirmation of this.

Why 21 Million? Why that number? This was an arbitrary decision made by Satoshi or there is a reason behind the 21?
Thank you!

Cointelegraph and Coindesk are both good, price checking sites like Coinmarketcap also have a news page.

Added to my favorites. Thank you!
