Bitcoin Halving 2020 is set to occur on 12 May 2020, but with ongoing fluctuating scenarios on various fronts makes me sceptical about the future market situation.

It's June. You're just talking about cutting it in half. Every day.

Re: Why doesn't a Brain Wallet have a Password?
by
liputin
on 22/05/2020, 07:12:43 UTC
With a brain wallet, the key is memorized. There is no need to encrypt it, because nobody has access to it. Anyway, encrypting it would make it impossible to memorize.
Not necessarily. Some people use parts of books, personal stuff or just picked words to generate their own brain wallet "custom seed". This may not be the safest thing, but some people do it anyways. Adding a password would be like a second part of the seed. If you use a part of your favorite book, you can then add a quite-easier-to-remember password (like mike123) to "protect" against someone finding the seed. Does that make any sense?

I agree, it doesn't make any sense. This is why smart wallets are called smart wallets. It doesn't need to come up with a password like the date of birth or the name of the movie or your name+777.

Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career?

I don't know, but that's my opinion. Blockchain is a good choice for getting, for example, a salary. This helps avoid many problems with money transfers or taxes. I am sure that in the future many will switch to this system, because it is convenient and honest.

Change is to be expected.
- The popularity of Bitcoin rose exponentially since 2013 and it also became an investment assets to many.
- Government authorities saw that investor's money is flowing into bitcoin and they also want a piece.
- Developers requested to make their identity known is a consequence of the many scam projects that flooded the market since ICOs became a thing.

Despite all the changes, Bitcoin enthusiasts still have the option to use platforms that do not require their identity and transactions to be exposed completely such as P2P exchanges, wallets with coinjoin features and coin mixing services.

So far, this is the best and simplest answer that has been given here.

Re: [Legality of bitcoin] Can a country really control the use of bitcoin?
by

on 21/04/2020, 08:59:00 UTC
Places like Egypt, Morocco or Algeria have set bitcoin use, illegal. What exactly stops people that live there to do bitcoin transactions since no one controls the network? And yes, without "cutting" their internet connection.

Bitcoin was invented so that no one could control it. What do many people want to do? Try to control it...

I wrote many times to support, but they did not respond to me. I waited for my money for a very long time. Not give. Scammers

Do not really worry about the time because ETA is as important as your marketing budget, you can be gone for years and as soon as you return back and give people some money to play (as in faucet) or signature campaigns or marketing in a different way and spend money to be on public's eye again, all of those people who left will comeback and some more.

Leaving without an agreement can only mean that both sides have not yet decided what they want to get.The problem can be created for those who will make air flights (it is necessary to mark the air borders). I think they need to reach common compromises as soon as possible.

The design of this site looks very good, which caught my attention. I did not have enough a faucet to try to play. Still would like to see games with time so I can see your beautiful complex animation. I want to say that the site loaded quickly, which I really liked.

rumor has it Chinese own already more than 20% of xel supply maybe even more (30%). looks like they are big xel fans and there are words that new exchange will be adding xel sometime soon, big.one from yunbi owner. i don't have problems with Chinese owning such big stake on project but hope it will not end up they owning more than 60% of supply, what is surely possible with xel prices atm. so it would be wise to hold your precious coins.

Was there an Elastic ICO? If so, when and how will investors receive the coins? Is it possible to buy some by now from the initial investors?
please go https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1804795.0
You'll find individuals that are willing to sell .
As per our Satoshi Sr. EK, if you ask nicely and also attach a 0.1 BTC per XEL, you could have some of my or EK's coins as well . Grin

I don't understand. I have just read there was no ICO, and now people are selling XEL? Where do these come from?

ICO is just a wrong term used for the donations period - see more info here https://talk.elasticexplorer.org/t/status-of-lannister-and-the-ico-funds/106/2.
Lannister has probably passed away since he was informing about health issues, but obviously this information is not confirmed.
if this is true, then based on how many people voted (aprox 25%) lannister is/was in possession of 70+% of all existing XEL  Shocked if those 70% of XEL are OUT OF circulation then donators are about to get filthy RICH!
