DeepOnion is certainly one to get into, and this is from a purely technical perspective. I felt this thread already had a spectacular showing by my co-advocates and wasn't going to beat a dead horse, but seeing a comment like this made me post because it's just so un-informed:

About Onion - don't be fooled. It's regular altcoin with tor on exit nodes. Nothing 'Privacy' here because every bitcoin wallet is supporting it.

DeepOnion actually works in the the exact opposite of the claim made here. The DeepOnion blockchain transactions all take place WITHIN the TOR network. There is no exit node traffic occurring.

Seems like there is a new magical miner:

Sir, could you please tell us where you happened to come across the https://intellogence.com/ link? Was it in a group or site specifically for advertising in the "community"? Thanks if you have any info. Very curious.

Re: ethOS - Ethereum Mining Platform
by
litmus

Hi!

Is anyone using KlausT version of ccminer under EthOS? The hashrate is far superior under Windows. I have 1210 compared to 900 for Neoscrypt.

Please advise.

Thanks!

I'm also hoping to hear some feedback on the linux version. Is it even useful? The last commit for the Linux codebase was Nov 4, 2014, while the Windows version was updated 6 hours ago, and all the positive feedback from a few cursory searches seems to be for the Windows version.

It seems like if the linux driver had value it would be in wider use by now, and already incorporated into EthOS if it was going to happen?

But maybe we just need to be the gravel underfoot to give the linux version more traction? I'd really like to know why it hasn't taken off and I plan to look into this more.

Obviously this doesn't help you with the Linux version, but I am using the KlausT v8.19 x64 cuda9.1 in Windows 8.1 and it's a real advantage for neoscrypt hash rates. I have used the Alexis78 version which hasn't been updated in a long time - it produces good hash rates but I find it unreliable and unstable. The latest KlausT CCMiner (for Windows at least) is stable and reliable. I can run it for days without problems.

I have 4 x 1060 6GB, 4 x 1070 and 2 x 1080. I am running pretty much all of them at powerlimit 75%, core +100 and memory +300 and I'm getting 8-12 mh/s neoscrypt mining to Nicehash (the two rigs locally show approx 9.6mh/s but Nicehash is measuring fluctuating hash-rates between 8-12mh/s), using approximately 1400 watts.

If I plug my stats into whattomine.com it recommends mining equihash (if I just consider the nicehash options) but after some experiments and watching the payment rates, I am clearly better off using KlausT to mine neoscrypt.

I do have 2 licenses for EthOS but currently given that there are just so many more options under Windows for Nvidia GPUs (and it's not worth mining ETH anymore) I am begrudgingly using Windows.

Thank you for the feedback, if only for some ironic pressure to get me to begrudgingly try the Windows version, at least for the experience Smiley.

May I ask why you think ETH "isn't worth mining" though? I'd rather not "profit-hunt" day to day (or even week to week) and think ETH is ok as a set-it and forget-it mining choice. Not wise? EthOS has been phenomenally stable for me for ETH generation (snd my rig is too remote to tend to daily), and is that worth disturbing for something marginally better? I'm open to being convinced. I'm also currently paying next to nothing for electricity.

It must be nice to have people to "take care of your money" - of course he may have forgotten he was paid in BTC and conjured some clever media exposure from this, but his money managers certainly didn't Wink .

This whole story is a complete fabrication. At least it will help mass- adopters take crypto currency more seriously, which is good for us all - even us on the TOR network who don't plan on making media releases (the taxes are too high:) JK).

Someone use L3 in solo mining with a QT wallet for any coins on another computer on home network ?

I have no success for now....

Sorry you haven't gotten any feedback on this question yet - I'm also very interested in this. There's good info available online (that's doesn't look very good as far as encouragement goes at this point in at least the Litecoin blockchain's evolution), but I was hoping to hear some real, however anecdotal, evidence on at least the "luck portion" of mining a block in solo operation, by one of you guys...

Just to circle back on this - my initial concern is no longer present. My rewards have trended upward of an average of .22 ltc per "reward interval" -( not always 24h?).
I'm still confident in Litecoinpool, and I'm glad to see my rig is still running within normal ranges.
The 3 day dip (that became a 5 day dip) that prompted me to post originally has passed. I'll give it a few month of operation on this pool to get a better idea of the highs and lows before I worry again, as the MH/s rate has "evened" out too, no longer claiming "0" for long stretches with bursts near 1000 MH/s.

Issue seems to be on your end, my A2 farm has seen a slight INCREASE in income the last week or so (difficulty dropped a hair twice on Litecoin in that timeframe).

I'm pulling in appx. 0.07 per day on appx 480 Mh/sec "at the pool" hash average, which should be very close to what a single L3+ manages.

Thank you, second every replier to my first ever thread. Definitely looking forward to digging into this mystery after "my real work" today. I too have seen an uptick in performance since my initial post. The Crypto gods are whimsical and maybe my offering (of my time, creating the post, haha) was a sufficient sacrifice?...and now my L3+ will behave itself for a time?  I work in tech and sometimes "the things" are fickle ("failed board" working after being reseated...along those line...) and just want to be given some attention....

Very good to know your results at 480 MH/s. Thank you, Sir.

My 24h rewards have been 0.0719, with an average speed of 495.2 MH/s.

I see that the PPS% has risen to 103. I'd going to have to dig in deeper to understand the dip in productivity... And maybe just spend more time not understanding as it happens again and again until I get it, but for right this moment I'm happy riding the up curve of the sine wave. Thanks.

Also wondering if the OP kept his 400 coins? He would be happy now. Deep Onion has out performed all the other cheaper coins I've bought. Xspec looks to be catching up rather fast though! 2018 will be an exciting year for privacy coins!

In lieu of actually knowing what this individual did,  I'll say "Of course he kept his 400 Onions!!!" You would be insane to let your pile diminish in the slightest until the airdrop ends...

Has Litecoinpool been "having issues" the past two days, or has my L3+?
by
litmus
on 08/01/2018, 10:33:10 UTC
I have had a humongous reduction of shares registered and really decreased payout the past two days on Litecoinpool with an L3+.

The drop off has been from .22 LTC daily to .08 (for the last two days).

The unit is remote (and the VPN to access it's DHCP assigned IP to reach the interface is a hassle), so I'll have to visit it tomorrow, but before I make the trip to this particular "electricity providing lair", does anyone have any experience themselves the past two days or recently with Litecoinpool "acting up" as well?

I've done a search forum wide for "Litecoinpool" and have come up with nothing, which isn't encouraging that the issue is on their side Wink ; and their tech support is very responsive, but when I checked in last week about the worker reporting very oddly high hashing values (as if it had just connected and not "settled out" yet), but they reported no issues or disconnections, beyond the one real disconnection as I pulled its connection from the new Cisco switch at this site (which I thought might also be the source of the issue), and then reconnected it (in a different port, just in case...) trying to troubleshoot.

Tech support saw the one real disconnection\reconnection cycle by checking the log for me, but nothing else. I had also seen the reported speed go to 0, sporadically as well, but with the number remaining green, as if it was still "connected".

So to recap because I'm so long winded:

Previously I had been running with earnings of 0.223~ every day, for weeks.

Is it the miner (most likely, and I will check it out tomorrow) or has Litecoinpool been acting up?

I really wish there were recent posts about sporadic "reported speed irregularities"... Wink    Well here's to hoping my new unit isn't slowly destroying itself and the network connection is somehow sporadically failing...

Thanks in advance for any word.

edit: Adding image url of the earnings drop off for more impact - https://ibb.co/gTAVRm

the last cutoff column in the image is the Rewards...(but if you have my answer you already know that - but this is a forum and even those that don't know the answer are welcome to follow along Wink
Also the PPS went to 102% .... is that relevant to the number of shares this unit generated?

I'd also like to know what the real distinction is from other CC. I'd also like to know where my airdrop is, but only in the rhetorical sense as I don't really expect an answer. I wonder how many of us that registered just had their info reaped, with no real feedback, or airdrop. I haven't pestered the telegram group yet. Too easy to get banned there with no recourse so I typically don't ask "hard questions" and just mute the non performers.... But on a serious note - where's my REBL token?

For people wondering what is happening to Bitcoin for the second day, it just happened on November 9-12. NYA infamous people pumping and dumping then moving their BTC to other coins.
At Coinbase (former member of NYA) there are no BTC available for purchasing, go figure  Grin Grin

Clever of them if what you're saying is true (and I understand correctly). Coinbase claimed they didn't have a BTC supply to sell?!!? I just checked and can't find any evidence that happened, and they are currently allowing sales of it. Is that what you meant; does Coinbase operate in such obviously manipulative way?

The L3+ is available again, but only for payment with BCH - got trapped in that as I have no BCH and didn't notice they only accept BCH this time.
Bah!

Trapped? Maybe only emotionally, looking at your expired order dwelling on what could have been Smiley They certainly aren't very conducive for spontaneous sales with their ridiculous payment policy. The money wiring fiasco wasn't fun either, but it was nice to have the option. Bitmain has "single handedly" forced quite a few of us into using BCH, at least momentarily.

I’m sure this was said earlier and I may have just missed it, and maybe even discussed at length elsewhere, but I challenge the use of “ May” as in “use of this firmware may void your warranty”.
It should be simply stated that use of this firmware voids your warranty.
Are people sending back individual boards for repair, and are able to not talk abou the firmware change, or are people reverting back to stock before their RMA claims and Bitmain can’t detect that the MHz had been changed (or the that the firmware had be rewritten?) Or am I way off and the people that use this firmware just accept the loss of failed hardware replacement rights when their hardware inevitably fails, because this firmware is so advantageous? Thanks.

So happy so far. The noise when running it in a non-datacenter environment is certainly astounding, but the capabilities are everything Bitmain promised. Sorry to just dump my data on the thread like this, but if anyone notices anything wrong , if you get a second can can you please say so (stale shares or invalid?, but they look low enough to me)?

Other than that I guess I'm just here to support the cause. Get your Antminer L3+ today Smiley!

From what I can see everything looks good, but it would help if you would post your miner stats from the control area. Then I can take a look at the temps and Nounce.

Will do. Just need little time to dig in after work. Thanks for letting me know the areas to key in on.
