I'm having the same problem and have posted a similar question in the thread around setting up cudaminer in the first place.

I'm using MacOS Mavericks.

Did you get anywhere with this in the end?

I'm trying to compile this under macOS Mavericks.

cudaminer-src-2013.12.10

Have installed the nvidia CUDA package and can see the libraries are in the locations mentioned so have exported the paths.

./configure wouldn't do anything

 ./configure
-bash: ./configure: /bin/sh^M: bad interpreter: No such file or directory

ran make configure and got the following

garethswellsmbp:cudaminer-src-2013.12.10 gtsewell77$ make configure
Makefile:380: .deps/cudaminer-cpu-miner.Po: No such file or directory
Makefile:381: .deps/cudaminer-scrypt.Po: No such file or directory
Makefile:382: .deps/cudaminer-sha2.Po: No such file or directory
Makefile:383: .deps/cudaminer-util.Po: No such file or directory
make: *** No rule to make target `.deps/cudaminer-util.Po'.  Stop.

any ideas? Thanks!

I gave up downloading the bootstrap from source forge, letting the client do it now, might be done by the end of the weekend *sigh*
Then I'll have somewhere fee free offline to store my coins...

i've had a few timeouts using cpuminer but it reconnects, perhaps it's a mining daemon issue? Are the people with issues using CGMiner?

anytime I get a message like that I just wait for however long it says and usually the problem goes away.  Not sure if this is based on account activity or status.  Just posting how it works when this happens on my end.

It is based entirely on account activity.  The higher the activity, the lower seconds you need to wait in between each post.
I have 182 activity; a few seconds is all I need to wait between each post.  Be patient guys, and soon you'll be able to post your ideas and opinions at the pace you want to.

Good to hear it!
I'm a newbie and I want to take part in some specific threads relating to my mining pool but have to wait... guess I can always join them on IRC!

Grr I just tried to post that and got told I've got a 360 second wait...

Re: Which escrow service do you favor?

Since folks are leery of selling to buyers who want to use PayPal, I'm looking for a reliable escrow service w/ low fees and low minimums.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Cynthia

I guess the problem is that you can do chargeback with paypal?

Which escrow services do people like to use? Coinbase has received a lot of investment this week.

I've used https://bitbargain.co.uk for buying coins, they buy and sell Litecoins as well as bit coins but selling is more difficult and I guess this site is useless if you don't have UK bank account and ID.

According to the Blockchain.info, the size is 12,107 MB right now. But it can take more space in your system.

That's fine, I was just a bit worried it would be like 50GB and I'd hit my data cap.
You should be careful about running a full node on the PC once the blockchain's sync'd. Especially if you have high bandwidth, you'll very quickly run into your limit through sharing blocks and relaying transactions.

So, what do we do to avoid running as full node? I'm downloading the bootstrap file separately from source forge, and it's 9.9 gb zipped, should be done by the morning and then there will be some catching up for it to do but at least it will save my hard drive.

PS
Download Link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcoinblockchain/files/29-10-2013/ Download Size: 9GB (Compressed) - 13GB (Decompressed)
Re-directs to the most recent version.

You can even get a torrent for it.
