Re: An excessive fee is an our future?
by

on 10/02/2016, 15:23:19 UTC
Yes, this is true. Transfer fees can be much higher in the future and BTC transaction times too  Wink Even nowadays BTC transfer time can be several hours.  Angry

also if fees goes on 20x actual rate, bitcoin will be the same chepaer than other methods

Re: Milion of BTC lost and Milion BTC in hand of few people. A danger?
by

on 10/02/2016, 11:09:46 UTC
I was wondering if this two factors:

- Milion of BTC lost by banks (like MT GOX) or by distracted people
- Milion of BTC in hand of few people (like Satoshi) than now have in their hand more than 200 milion of $

Can damage the BTC economy? Shouldn't this 2 factors increase the BTC value more and more?

off course yes, if some big fish decides to dump all his coin the price will go lower and lower

Re: Any advantages from gambling?
by

The only advantage from gambling is that if you win big, you become rich overnight, which is not possible by doing a job or by having a own business, but if you loose, you loose everything, its better to stay away from gambling.

not stay away but gambling always responsible, and manage the bankroll this is the key

Re: Why is gambling so addicting?
by
madonnino
on 10/02/2016, 07:59:52 UTC
I actually remember learning about this at university. People gamble and when they win, the frontal lobe produces hormones that are almost like a drug. This is the reason why people gamble. It's not an obsessive behavior. Casino know  this and use it to their advantage.

gambling its a psicological trap, this game give to you adrenaline rush

Basically adrenaline will get stir up on exciting things. The hidden excitement of gambling is making huge profits. When you believe that you can make profits from gambling then you will end up in addictions for sure.

i'm also in the idea that the possibility or the dream to make huge profit is the base of the gambling addiction

Re: Will Bitcoin always be dependent on fiat? Is it?
by
madonnino
on 10/02/2016, 07:57:05 UTC
i think it will always depend on fiat , why would everyone hold their coins for an increase in price so that they can sell it and get fiat . so that is the fact.

unless the people around the world  begin to be salaried directly in bitcoin, in this it's different

this is the point, bitcoin need to became the first and only currencies in the world to be independent from fiat

We all know that terrorists don't use only bitcoin to raise fund, but petrol, wester union, cash etc. Bitcoin is the smallest piece of the puzzle, and not always bitcoin has a good reputation in the media

I know it has all the network effects but it's a dinosaur. Transactions take forever, sometimes take days or take client reindexing which takes an entire day. there is little anonyiminiy. Something like Dash has to eventually take it's place. The question is when.

there are services that can improve the anonimity of the transaction, example mixer services, and for the transaction if you pay the right fee it won't take long time to confirm
