If rent payment takes too long, rental should be cancelled and funds (with BTC tx fee deducted from them) returned to payer after his payment is confirmed - because it's renter's fault to make a mess with wrong tx ammount or fee - right?
I think a straight forward solution to this problem is to introduce an online wallet on betarigs -> Rigs can only be rented, if there are enough funds in the renters account.
This would solve 2 problems: 1. The renter doesn't have to pay a transaction fee on each rent 2. The rig owner does not have so long "downtimes" since the payment would be instant
Mux, I hope you consider this, it would add a lot of value to betarigs!
Kind Regards

Really great exchange! Signed up and sent my documents -> 2 days later my account was verified. Sent some bitcoins, exchanged them to EUR -> 1 day later I got an email, that they sent the money from their bank account. Another day later, the money was in my bank account.
Really fast, thats the way I like to do business! Keep up the good work!
Btw. I have registered with MTGox early in december, last week my account was verified but now they have to verify again, because I added a bank account... That's why i searched another exchange and I am quite happy I did!
I've been looking into playing with some source code for building an auto-switching mining pool. Does anyone know of any open source projects that already exist for an auto-switching mining pool? What is the best open source pool software (ie, the most popular platform) that pools are currently using?
Many thanks!
Have you received any answer by now, or have you found anything by doing research yourself? I asked myself the very same question, if ther is any autoswitching open source project...
I just rented 2 rigs (half an hour ago). One shows up in the pool hashing at the announced rate, the other one doesn't show up as active.
I triple checked the pool adress and the worker names and passwords...
Can I somehow contact the rig owner?
It seems like only rig owners can initiate messages between the two parties. Hopefully this gets changed as it would be helpful (as both a renter and a leaser) to send a message like "Hey, your rig is down".
Try to look at his rig page and see if there is any contact information. You can also try searching his username on Google/Bitcointalk and sending a PM if you find something.
Thanks for your suggestions, couldn't find anything. Hopefully it will come back up or I get my money back...
Ok, got a message from the owner that he added a second card:
Quote
I actually just added another card which brings the hashrate to about 1.44 Mh/s
I forgot to take my rig offline on betarigs, so I guess you got a pretty sweet deal
Happy Mining
Great news, everything is fine now, and I was pretty lucky with deal!
