PS - their software is probably slightly outdated.  It won't help you against modern browser based attacks, but may do if you are using applications that have not specifically been targeted.

The answer and signature look reasonable to me.  It looks like they didn't specify it, and just assumed, people would know they were buying a single user license to install on computers they own; which is common.  If you want to get technical about it, and their T&Cs don't say otherwise, you could probably argue your case though with CC company etc.

If you want to install on friends PCs and bypass their intentions, then you need to pretend your friends PCs are your own and follow that procedure.

Re: A Possible Explanation on the BTC Withdrawal Delays at MtGox

Yes but others have said they think it's related to dust transactions and TX sizes.  I don't understand how it would take more than a day to find the problem and resolve it, whatever it is.  I was affected by this at the end of last year also, but the transaction was resent and made good within 12 hours.. it is now 6 days for this one and nothing.  I directly lost probably $2k because of this.

I suggested it sounded like a race condition several days ago in https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=429769.msg4738455#msg4738455 - this was dropped into #mtgox and also sent to MagicalTux, but nobody got in touch.

Obviously we have no idea how their code is working though, and i would think that they know about race conditions and how to fix them anyway, because their trade matching engine needs to have locking.

Re: BTC Withdrawals on MtGox

I have the same problem, now 48 hours.  I decided to investigate and pulled all the TXs from https://data.mtgox.com/api/0/bitcoin_tx.php - i found my receiving address in there.  I then transmitted all of the transactions to the network.. the outputs on mine and over 200 other ones have already been spent, and the network rejects them immediately.

Seems like a problem with double spending, which would imply a race condition within their code, so no kind of locking in place to prevent this happening.

MtGox - if this could be the case and you need advice on how to prevent it happening, please get in touch with me.  It doesn't matter which programming language you're using for this process I will be able to help you fix it if you need some help.

Yes definately, the utility bill is not good for many people.  At least most places accept other things such as a diving licence, bank statement etc. Although again, some people have nothing at all to prove address.

If you're doing arbitrage it's probably best to have cash/coins (depending on which one is likely to be long/short) already in the different sites you'll be using.. and then you can do any cash/coin settlements to even the accounts when you've finished trading for the day, if required.

Well his IP would be anonymized when connected to the bitcoin network when he uses Tor to access wallet A and send to B.  With Tor disabled when using wallet B, if he makes a transaction out of there, his real IP will be logged.

Providing utility bills as proof of address is standard practice around the world in any businesses that are required to Know Your Customer.
