I did.  My smallest miner is 20ghz.  It is not recording any of the hashes.  I had it run for 15 minutes.  Is it cgminer compatible these days?

I don't mind helping the pool to get it back up.  Are the stats on the site correct?   Did this really happen:

What the heck happened to this awesome pool?  I mined 60+ coins back in the day.  What is the current status?   Should I bring my 80G in?

still trying to figure this out. Has anyone else tried to adjust "Power Control" in linux? in windows, you can set it through CCC.

Setting is called "Power Control".

It is not really the voltage. Seems like a power boost.

setting power settings in linux for 6970
by
mamad
on 05/06/2011, 06:02:13 UTC
in windows 7 I am able to adjust my 6970 to:
cpu: 950
mem: 650
power setting: +5%

results into 406mh/s

trying to switch to linux (ubuntu version that is on this board) and was able to adjust CPU using:
aticonfig --odsc 950,1375 --adapter=0

However can't get the MH higher than 340mh. My guess is the power setting of 5% increase is missing.

Does anyone know how to set this setting in linux?

Thannks in advance.

Re: [~1900 Gh/s Mining Pool] HTTPS,API, instant payouts,LP,+1% for NO INVALID BLOCKS

This is very strange. My Last payment is posted to the site but I haven't received it.  Block explorer also shows "No such transaction" when I click on provided link in payment history. There seems to be a glitch in the system.
Have you read the help page that is shown after pressing the Instant Payment button ?
Or it was auto payment ? Don't worry, there are no glitches in payment system, it will reach you.

Hmm, I should invent a way to somehow show help page after autopayments too Smiley

I have been using the manual payment for weeks and every time it shows up within seconds. This time took about 25 minutes for some reason (both in block explorer and my wallet). It ended up showing up though so I am good. Thanks for quick reply.

once you run bitcoin.exe you have to let it run for hours before it downloads all the blocks. Your payouts are most likely towards 128k+ blocks so it will not be displayed immediately.  Give it at least an hour or two before it picks them up.

yet another newbie questions
by
mamad
on 03/06/2011, 06:25:52 UTC
Sorry I couldn't find the answer to this after some searching.

So like many others, I started running the bitcoin.exe downloaded from the site and after few days of running on a quad CPU I realized I wasn't going anywhere. Switched to multiple GPU and have been getting much better results.

What has puzzled me though is that I thought solo mining would only generate a block of 50 coins and not partial coins.  Today in my bitcoin GUI I beside all the transfers from other pools, I saw a transaction that was marked as "GENERATED" for the amount of 0.02.   Can someone please explain what this is? is it a partial coin generation? is it a fee received from transfers of some sort?

Thank you in advance,
Mamad

Sounds very interesting. I am always looking for web-based miners since I have multiple high traffic sites.

Do you have any stats on numbers (hashrates) that could be generated?

Not to shoot down the idea, but after running it for about an hour on a busy site (250+ users online with average 5 minutes on site) I received 0 shares. So taking it down.

Still like the idea of having it run in browser, maybe ActivX would be able to use more CPU/ even GPU?

First things first, I really love the idea. But I want to know if anyone is having any success with this. I just started running this on one site that has about 200 online users. What can I expect in terms of returns? it feels like the hash rates are so small that it wouldn't make a difference even with thousands of users online.

Thanks,
Mamad
