Re: Are banks needed for crypto?

Not literally, crypto can stand without having an actual bank. Though we need it somehow in dealing using P2P trades usually a personal Bank account is needed. Yet, there are still P2P traders allowing transactions using another virtual wallet. So yeah, Crypto have its own workaround that Banks have. So nah, even without banks crypto will still move.

Re: Russia took third place in the world in bitcoin mining

No doubt, that in the near future they would be the first and on top of USA. Russia is open for innovation and somehow their Government is supporting the growth of Bitcoin in their country. This is quite uplifting but still, there should be no competition in terms of innovation. Well, hoping that the recent issue with China opens a much bigger opportunity not only for these powerhouse countries.

Re: How companies investing in crypto can help the ecosystem?

Supply and demand will be balanced, I think? As towards, companies accepting Bitcoin as payment. This helps the distribution of Bitcoin in the market as well unlike before that most are HODL for the hope that it will rise in a span of time. Well given the case, Large companies are into Bitcoin nowadays though the probability of them manipulating the market is also high. This manipulation will surely be felt once they do it, though it may hurt for a while but surely it will and always will have the chance to do it again.

Re: The psychology of stoploss

This is one of the best tools out there, and one of the easiest thing to learn but the hardest to implement. Well to be honest, I'd find it very challenging at first. I've struggled a lot in terms of trying to use the stoploss. But the fact I'm eager to regain my losses it turned out to be a disaster. After that I'd humbly surrender to it, I practiced stop loss for months fighting of frustrations and everything. But yeah bottom line is that no matter how good you are, we may still encounter even one mistake and all will crash. So yeah learn not to trade with emotions that will surely be not a good idea.

Close game for Magnolia and Bolts, Maliksi's game was superb almost perfect on FG and must admit Bolts with semi-healthy Almazan, Magnolia could be in trouble. Series is tied now, and became more interesting now. Will Magnolia can comeback or Bolts with the momentum and confidence to outlast and upset Magnolia.

Re: Cryptocurrency is important for a country? or not...
by
markdario112616
on 12/10/2021, 19:59:33 UTC
Cryptocurrency is essential for the development of a country?

Not that essential to be honest, there are still a lot more essential things for a country rather than Bitcoin.

Does cryptocurrency play an effective role in the development of the country? Or does it hinder the development of the country and cause extreme damage to the country?

Well, for innovation this is a Win for a country. It will open new opportunities that can be utilized if the country itself is supporting it. Bitcoin is part of the new world of highly advanced technology, will it hinder it? Nah, it's a breakthrough. It's just that those people that are in positions are seeing this as a threat, well they all have different reasons but yeah this is the sad reality of this world.

Re: Reason why businesses should accept Bitcoin payment
by
markdario112616
on 12/10/2021, 19:19:49 UTC
The thought is good, but let's see the practicality of it. Bitcoin's market is so volatile that any time the value may drop which can cause a loss of revenue to a business, that's just one factor. Let's go to the legality, A Legitimate business needs to file Taxes and submit audit reports. How would one business will be closed its book when there are unallocated revenues? Namely Bitcoin per se (I'm talking about it based on our country's laws), so yeah given the scenario in which, Bitcoin is not recognized yet as a currency or can be made as mode of payment, this will literally be floating on the balance sheet. Not unless, one will be able to hide, but once caught probably Business will close down and eventually all parties involved will held liable.

Re: *Day Traders* are now calling gambling Addiction helplines!!
by
markdario112616
on 12/10/2021, 06:48:33 UTC

My question is : *How far is day trading from Gambling according to you?*
Is that a valid comparison?? Are we soon going to consider the day trading *gambling?*

IMO Day trading has a strong similarity with gambling reason being that they can both become compulsive. I've seen day traders who can't go two minutes without trying to check the charts, even at fun events where one is meant to relax. To me that's an addiction and it's no different from gambling.

Well, that's the thing about it. Once, it gets to the system it can hardly go. Or we can say it's been a habit? for them, as far as I'm aware it's a must to actively checking the charts if you are into day trading. Since a missed trade could cost them a lot.

"I've seen day traders who can't go two minutes without trying to check the charts, even at fun events where one is meant to relax. To me that's an addiction and it's no different from gambling."

I somehow agree at some point and disagree at the same time. I'd agree that day traders are regularly checking markets for a possible trade even at any events. I'd somehow disagree on the addiction side, well let's say it's their full-time income source so I purely understand why they do it. But to compare in addiction on Gambling is quite a shot. Though are still a lot of argument in regards to habitual acts and addiction.

Re: Before getting into trading
by
markdario112616
on 11/10/2021, 19:56:47 UTC
Before getting into something in General, One MUST have the idea what he/she'll be into.
The basics are the MOST important thing to have. Especially when just starting, a lot of newbies tend to skip this as they feel that they don't need it. Being intelligent is not that important, but to be able to understand the nature of trading is enough to succeed. Knowledge, Data gathering, patience and many more are part of the Basics. That's how important to have the basics before entering the world of Trading.

A lot of newcomers don't last as they taught when they trade that's it, They see a low investment entry they'll grab even without proper data to support every decision. As I see it, it seems that only about 30% of the new comers are willing to start from the very beginning no shortcuts and everything.

Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ]: Fury vs Wilder III - THE TRILOGY IS BACK ON !!!
by
markdario112616
on 11/10/2021, 19:23:21 UTC
The excuses from Wilder is beginning to come out in sports news media hehe. I speculate that we might hear more of this for 2 more months before we hear an annoucement of his retirement. Tyson Fury has shattered Deontay Wilder mentally.
I was expecting this and it was not a surprise that the excuses started to come out. Deontay Wilder did not learn from his first two fights and he was not even acknowledging the defeat and if that is the case how can he improve and now there is no way we would see another fight even if Deontay Wilder comes out with major accusation like a sore loser.

I'd agree,* He'll be like DC from UFC, who was beaten physically and mentally by Jones.*

The Gypsy has poured on a lot of tarot cards on this fight haha Grin Wilder, is a cry baby on this fight, no sportsmanship at all (for me). He's beaten mentally by Fury even before their first fight, it's just that Fury played it till the end and Wilder was left hanging with frustrations. His career is quite predictable now, it's either he'll take a year off or fight on again to regain his composure but to fight Fury again is quite impossible that yet, and/or simply retire and hang his gloves. After this upsetting loss he'll be ou indefinitely for sure.

Re: Do you want to see Bitcoin legal in your country?
by
markdario112616
on 11/10/2021, 18:46:29 UTC
Well, in our country, Crypto is somehow in the middle. It's not that literally legal but at the same time is not illegal. Our Government has just released a statement to be cautious in transacting Bitcoin/Crypto, by just that they are implying that we can freely trade but there's no actual law somehow to protect and regulate the latter. In addition, they also said that they will not recognize Bitcoin as a currency but not prohibiting to use.

So you're just getting started? Then why are you so sure that there are significant differences between the two?

Huh? Re-read again, He has Gambling experience! Seriously?  Grin
Since he/she has/have experience in Gambling, wouldn't it be so obvious that he/she has an "IDEA" on the Betting?

Aren't you just starting from the beginning?
Means you have gambling experience from slots and sports betting.

The hell, Re-read again. You are asking about starting from the beginning, yet you disclose "Means... have... experience"  Grin
Speaking like inception, or such as claiming a disclaimer.

It's up to you if sports betting is more suitable. For us it's all the same as long as it's entertaining and satisfying.

He's asking which is much easier to predict, not about the sports betting itself.
He's "THINKING" means he wanted to try or start doing sports betting.

Re: FURY VS WILDER WHO YA GOT? #FuryWilder3
by

I got Fury on this one, despite the Fat appearance shape. His speed seems to be faster than usual and his punches even though it's like for the sake of throwing punch are pretty accurate. Combinations, speed and determination was Fury's key in the last fight. Though, Wilder is solid no doubt about that but he's pretty exhausted even though he had an advantage when he got a knocked down Fury on there last fight, but his gasping and Fury is still pressuring him and just by doing the same shift already I Wilder should probably be prepared on this one, now that he knows that Fury is a technical fighter heavy punches is not enough to win the fight.

Re: Is bitcoin an asset or a currency?
by
markdario112616
on 10/10/2021, 17:19:58 UTC
To be honest, I can see it as both. It's an asset in a way, that's it's an investment and currency as seen in general, Crypto is Virtual currency. We believe a currency is something we can see, we can feel and we can touch. But yeah, this was a classical way we see it. Though, it depends on how we handle things but an asset if turned into something with value then for sure it will be a Currency once converted.

Paul Lee has a lesser burden now because he has Abueva who provides energy in the floor. Meralco has no chance to beat the Magnlio, they have been dominated already in the last 2 games.

Everyone was stepping up actually.

We saw that, that's why he delivers more because the defense is not only focused on him. Meralco is now on the brink of elimination, one loss and everything will be gone for them ( at least they should not expect to come back from 3-0 deficit). Therefore, they have to give everything they have and they can in game 3, it should be considered as a win or go home game for them.
No excuse for them, game 3 is a must-win game, if they lose, then consider this as the series over. The other match-up is more fun, SMB came back from a huge deficit in order to even the series, and now it's only a best of 5 series, and game 1 and game 2 were really entertaining.

As of now, no odds are available yet but expect tonight it will be open.

This series is less competitive than the other. Bolts will be swept if Almazan won't suit up for tomorrow's game as Cliff Hodge will be abuse by Calvin Abueva and Jackson Corpuz down low. It's only the TNT Katropa of the MVP group of companies who got a chance for the trophy.

If we based our bet for the 3rd game of SMB and TNT on the previous games then betting for TNT is more likely will give us the win for our money if the spread moves in favor of TNT like 2.5 or 3.5.

Odds are not out yet and if ever bookies will give odds like above as speculated then i might go with the Katropa.

Well not hopefully, Alamzan should suit up. If not, they'll be eaten by Magnolia. Hodge can't contain Abueva at most, and in return Abueva is just toying Hodge. Plus, Sangalang and Lee on the other hand are getting the the deal done. In addition, Abueva still contributing on the scoring as well plus his effort on the defensive side. Magnolia right now, is quite a scary team, to be honest, or it's just that Meralco lacks the manpower to overthrow Magnolia?

Speaking of the effect of 3-point shots today, I don't know if you remember this but just take a look back at how these 3 players thought of the same thing by positioning themselves outside the arc waiting for the ball (link). It's funny because anyone of them could have chosen an easy layup or an open dunk to tie and extend for an OT. Just an unbelievably dumb play Grin

I never seen that picture but I would have been heated if I was the coach.  I mean cmon that's elementary school in to realize fill the paint and lay it up.  Go to ot and fight it out.  I mean did the entire team lay on the under on this game  Grin

Haha, same thought. I'd be kicking those Gatorade containers, ripping play board, blame the janitor  Grin Grin Hell, 4 against 2 and with 3 secs at most dang even 1 of them should cut inside but nah, they felt like Steph Curry on that crucial possession. If I was PG on that game same scenario no one wanted to cut inside I'd be frustrated as fuck. Rather took it inside instead of passing  Grin

Re: Does Bitcoin have any real value?
by
markdario112616
on 06/10/2021, 19:03:32 UTC
Bitcoin is not backed by any physical asset like Gold nor by any fiat currency. It makes me wonder if I should invest/trade in Bitcoin or not?

It's not backed as you said, but have you seen its value? Since we are talking about investments or trading, Cryptocurrencies may not have an actual or physical form and yet they come along with their own value, much better it is quite higher than the usual stocks.

In reality, all of them plays within the market just different industry. Both industries are volatile, but we can say that the Crypto industry is much riskier than usual since the market itself is pretty much unstable. But the return is much higher than the usual stocks, so Higher risk - Higher return.

Well I guess OP, is still in the denial stage wherein he/she can accept the fact that Bitcoin and Crypto industry itself is valuable despite the lack of physical asset like what have said.

Re: Legalized Gambling where you live..where does it stand?
by
markdario112616
on 05/10/2021, 17:50:58 UTC
Well yeah, I'd say that any sort of gambling is somehow legal in here as long you have a license for it and you pay taxes. Meaning, as long as you are Legal by law and papers any gambling is allowed. That's why a lot of foreign investors (let's say Chinese) are starting up online casinos, since getting a License is quite easy as long as you have the money to pay. Money to bribe those people who have positions in Local Government. Also, there are a lot of gambling sites that are only Legal as long as they aren't caught  Grin This is common here in our country, but since they have the money, even they get caught they'll just transfer from one place to another.

Re: The risks of using Bitcoin
by
markdario112616
on 04/10/2021, 20:33:44 UTC
The biggest risk of using Bitcoin is it's price. It's price is unpredictable anyone can't guess the future price of bitcoin it will lose or dump you can lose and earn from it but it is risky.
No if you just look at the value you will forget the real meaning of bitcoin.
The risk and also the unique feature of bitcoin is that it is "no regulation", Decentralization makes bitcoin invincible to exploitable weaknesses beyond psychology and panic from users. Only if it determines retroactively can availability be guaranteed.

Well, every price especially in Bitcoin are volatile or the Crypto industry itself is much more volatile than the regular stock market, it's expected. Everyone "CAN" guess using the Trade analysis, every data in the graph could give something, maybe good or bad indications.

Every investment comes with risks, there is no assurance that every investment you have would generate ROI. It's a matter of how you will play your on the market using the information and data you have.

Re: What if stop believing about bitcoin ?
by
markdario112616
on 04/10/2021, 19:38:51 UTC
Well definitely count me off on this one  Grin

Beliefs are sometimes misinterpreted even there is already a lot of evidence available.
So yeah, would can this happen? Probably NO, Haven't you seen or feel the capabilities of Bitcoin itself? If not, then you are missing something big. Big in terms of opportunity. You wouldn't ask this one if you have been already. Bitcoin has no gold, but it has value, a value that is worth more than some of the available physical tradable items. Bitcoin is not gold, it's an ongoing innovation and the future.
