Re: Is Bitcoin Ready for the Next Global Financial Crisis?
by
markleal
on 06/01/2025, 16:11:42 UTC
BTC should be the hero during financial crisis. BTC is design to be resistant to the flow of fiat or any other currency. However the stock market is keep pulling the the BTC in their system. They are promissing a secure, cheapest way to join in the bitcoin economy, which then drag BTC price in that system. As result the BTC price will be correlated to the stock market performance, then the BTC will be dragged together with the collapse of the market.

Re: Bitcoin's strong bullish trend attrack more investors

In one way or another, there are lot and lots of people have heard or read about bitcoin but still speculative about it due to its lack of a physical form.
However as people nowadays is used to non tangible money they will soon realize that bitcoin is not too far from the actual fiat.
Another thing is that the bitcoin price continue to increase constantly.
During that time when trust, confidence  and greediness to wealth will investor start to dive in.

Re: Can Bitcoin surpass Gold?
by

on 20/12/2024, 14:41:15 UTC
The comparison is from south and west I think, BTC raises when there are lot of people in a GOOD MOOD (good news sells).
On the other hand, GOLD price most comes up when there are lot of BAD EVENTS like war.
It is because the gold is used as main reserve and global money.
But I think it is still possible for BTC to surpass GOLD, but not today or years from now, but it could be in more than a decade from now.

Re: MicroStrategy is predicting BTC will hit $100kby the end of the year.
by

The most important part of the MicroStrategy news is that Saylor also discussed broader implications for Bitcoin as a potential strategic reserve asset for the U.S. Thats mean BTC is being valued like the gold. And if that came to light, the $100k price of today will be just a dime for tomorrow.

Re: Trump's win, not convincing enough!

Yes yes yes we all know how everyone is elated about trump's victory.
But personally I think we shouldn't get excited yet, there has been so many promises made but we all know politics and how politicians can still change overnight.

It seems that you are with the Democratic Party. Have you notice since 1989 Democratic and Republican Parties are just alternately win the country? Does the progress end? Does the War ends? Does all promise have been executed. Just remember, all of them are politicians. But the most interesting part is the Bitcoin continue to fly!  Smiley

Re: Is bitcoin mining still profitable?
by

on 06/09/2024, 09:12:58 UTC
I do mining in the early days when the difficulty is low that anyone setting up a mining rig could be profitable in just a year.
However, due the continuous difficulty, cost of electricity pump up, and taking consideration the maintenance cost if comes.
i came to the point that i need to sell off my existing rig and pause for a while. I even regret that decision when the price pump up.
But as an advice from an amateur miner, dont buy those used rig. settle for a new and latest rig that will surely make some profit.

Great idea!
Hoping for this BitMarket.eu project came to life soon.
I have just one question about the "MANUAL checking". This may seems worthy, but considering there will be millions of transaction. It could probably needed a lot of people or a lot of time. This then could result in a higher operational cost.
This is just my speculation, I could be wrong.

1. It is quite stressful - old traders will soon give up due to mental health problems

You are correct!. However, I think you are talking about "Emotional Pressure".
As people grow older their emotion becomes more stable, we are talking from ages 40 to 60.
Beyond that most people emotions starts to decline. They will prefer to do things that will not put them in a boiler plate.

I thought this ambitious project have been abandoned since the lack of investor.
Their requirement is a staggering BTC300,000 imagine that for a country that has a GDP of only 32.49B USD that invenstment is almost half of rheir GDP.
Buy since there are more investors coming, the latest one invest in ports thus this may be a reboot.

Hi there YanBitMoney, when I first read your post i LOL. WHy because I remember that JP once really hate the technology and even the bitcoin ecosystem. Though your post seems an update, there there is an article posted last year witht the title "JPMorgan—Bitcoin’s ‘Biggest Enemy’—Suddenly Appears To Be Going All In On Crypto". You could check it out in the Forbes website.

Re: Who's gonna buy Tesla using Bitcoin?
by
markleal
on 24/03/2021, 14:21:19 UTC
Hi there Cryptokobi, just found that tweet by Elon at https://twitter.com/elonmusk then immediately I have been amazed at how bitcoin could be used to buy an innovative car of tesla. This could be the reason why tesla bought a lot of bitcoin a couple of months ago. However, he iterates that bitcoin received as a payment for a tesla car will remain a bitcoin. This shows that Tesla has a very storing confidence that someday the bitcoin price will skyrocket to the moon. The next probable post is "Do you want to visit the Moon or Mars? you could do that with just a couple of bitcoin" LOL.

Hi there aysg76, I feel sad for the German man who has lost his bitcoins to those hackers. As far an I have read, this is not the first time that it happened. Tried to search the link in this forum for the first instance about hacking using Musk's name but got some hard time looking for it. The jizz is that an American man has also been hacked also using the tweeter platform.

Re: Visa: We make it possible to buy bitcoins using Visa
by

Hi there Leviathan.007, the news is good but I have doubts. When they say they are doing two things. It means to say that they are just trying out to reach bitcoin holders. Actually, the first thing that he said about "One is to enable the purchase of bitcoin on Visa credentials" - I think this is possible several years ago, then they just block it. Mean to say that it is working before. Another thing is that, why is the news came from other sources, not from Visa itself?

Re: Why do people care who Satoshi is/was?
by
markleal
on 12/03/2021, 13:27:56 UTC
Hi there Joe_Bauers, I have 3 reasons why people are looking for Satoshi
First; in legal matters, any creator has the rights in their invention, thus there will be a huge lawsuit that could be triggered when Satoshi will be grabbed by a Single Corp.
Second; Business, there will be a lot of company that will use Satoshi to leverage their business by using him as a new member, a founder, or a partner
Lastly; Control, Satoshi holds 1.1 million bitcoin that is greater than any bitcoin whale, thus he could manipulate market price with such a huge amount of possession.

Re: The largest companies use blockchain technology

Hi there Leviathan.007, thank you for sharing this summary from the very informative article of Forbes. I never thought that Microsoft is included in the list. As far a I remember Gates has a negative view about bitcoin which later change his stance to neutral. But one of the companies that I have a laugh about is Binance. It is very obvious that they use bitcoins due to the nature of their company.
