Its ok I fixed everything myself as I said I was able to abandon the transaction. I just wanted to leave my experience here so others can judge for themselves.

They said it was a joke after but its not nice. Anyway luckily since it took so long to confirm I was able to abandon the transaction including the $8 I sent them.

They just emailed me back right now with "confirmtx scammed you" lol I found it rather amusing.

I was desperate and thought a paid service would get confirmation quicker, it may be the case but definitely not from confirmtx. Just a heads up for anyone who's in the same shoes as I was.

Hey I stayed up almost all night reading up and watching youtube vids and I fixed it myself!   Because I've sent it via bitcoin core I was able to abandon the stuck transactions and resend one trans again with much higher fee (300 satoshis/byte) but had an error something to do with duplicate in the mempool so I just left it and went to sleep. This morning when I woke up it went through right away and confirmed!

I was able to do this because of OP's helpful information! Thank you OP!!

Edit: I send my second trans with 280 satoshis/byte fee and it got confirmed in 6min!

So I have 2 transactions pending for confirmation (low fees) and I tried the free services and doesn't seem to work. I stumbled upon confirmtx and after reading some positive feedbacks I approached confirmtx and asked if I could use the paid service even though my transactions are both below 500 Bytes. He/She responded very quickly back and forth up until I paid and got a final response saying it will be confirmed within an hour or two.

Two and half hour past and still no confirmation, I emailed without getting any response. Probably gone to sleep? Perhaps but anyway its been 12hrs and neither of my transactions are confirmed. My question is are you going to honor your ad and refund me the $8 in bitcoin?

 

Hey ya so its still not confirmed and he/she also stopped replying. I'll just assuming the person is asleep  but for sure its not within the time frame quoted. I'm just a bit stuck now not sure what else I can do than to wait and hope for it to get confirmed or gets rejected (no idea how long that takes either). I'm too scared to do the double spend thing so I can only wait.

I used the free service and waited about a day and no confirmation so I approached confirmtx this morning asking if I could pay $4 each transaction to quicken up the confirmation process, He/she replied quickly and said I could and gave me a bitcoin address. I've sent the payment through and was told it will be confirmed in 1-2hours. Its almost been 2 hours now and still no confirmation so not really sure it even worked 

Hi guys Ive sent 3 payments with low fees 1 sat/B each using bitcoin core. It's almost been 48hrs and still not confirmed. I've submitted them to confirmtx.com about 10hrs ago and still nothing. What are my options? Can I somehow increase the fees for the transactions? I mean will it eventually get confirmed or it will be in the mempool indefinitely?
