yes it works, but there's a lot to be done for user-friendliness; installing and syncing the wallet can be fairly difficult to figure out for new users, and the fixes provided in this thread for certain issues with either leave me scratching my head for how anyone would've figured them out on their own.

tech works well enough. alts are all about hype and volume. maybe the new stuff zoidberg is adding will pique some interest, but don't expect to see much happening til that happens.

it's a bit strange to me that we get these big volume spikes every two weeks or so followed by basically no activity. and without much news or discussion in the thread i have to wonder who's willing to drop 2 grand on BBR in one go.

i'm not saying it's not a good longterm investment, of course, but with the volume being the way it is, if someone was accumulating they could just as easily put the 9 BTC at 8000 and gotten 25% more BBR over the timespan of a few weeks.

i wasn't expecting that buy to fill anytime soon, now i'm the proud owner of 5x as many as i had yesterday. lol

2014 had a lot of crazy stuff going on in the altcoin scene. new coins touting a small thing that set them apart from their competitors (or, in most cases, promised to but never delivered) brought huge boom and bust cycles as people gained and lost interest within the span of a week or two. can you name more than a handful that have any dev involvement or hope of relevance now?

supernet is coming soon and BBR is an important part of it. we don't need to rely on new bells and whistles to have value; the anonymity is solid and gives it a reason to be used. zoidberg says he's got some plans to improve it in the future, but it works well as it is now. adding a bunch of pointless features and trying to make it a 'theme park' cryptonote only complicates things and, really, only benefits holders who want to sell.

i agree i'd like some word from zoidberg on what he's up to as far as supernet integration or anything of the sort, but it doesn't matter much to me since things look fine already. i look forward to the coming months.

i understand how BBR will be implemented in superNET; my (and i think others') question is "why hold onto BBR now?" - since it seems to me like the price of any individual constituent of superNET is irrelevant when they can change between different types. i suppose the price of something would depend entirely on its utility and use?

it's all very interesting and i look forward to its official release. but i just don't understand my part in it as a supporter of BBR.

lack of interest mostly. an unfortunate trend in alt markets is that anything that isn't going up is usually going down; the volume only affecting the volatility of these trends.

i was pretty amazed that my 1 BTC buy at .0001 was filled within 10 minutes of my putting it up yesterday. someone is selling at a heavy loss right now, since i doubt it's profitable to mine and dump at these prices...

i don't quite understand how BBR's involvement in it is supposed to bring up the value. is that discussed in the thread? i might also just be failing to understand something fundamental about what superNET is and does... @_@

i've scanned through the original post in that thread several times, read some news articles and a bit of the prospectus and still don't think i really get where each (any) coin fits into the network. economics is not my strong suit at all and it seems like most of the documentation takes for granted familiarity with a whole slew of concepts in order to accept its premise.

is there no FAQ or such like for simpletons like me?

c-z says he has future plans for bbr and has made the announcement instead of disappearing completely. really the price is in a bad spot for anyone holding but bbr is still a work in progress.

i'll watch to see how things go in the coming months with this and the new project. not a fan of POS but it's all very interesting to see develop!

rumor? where did you hear that something new is in the works besides supernet?

zoidberg said he didn't think the suggestions boded well for BBR's future, which is probably why people think it's shady rather than simply alternative.
