Re: [ANN] ⚽ XFCCOIN ▐ Fantasy Football Manager Revolution!▐Swap and exchange open ⚽

I cant find any info on how to send XFCCoins directly from my online wallet to the DigitalTokens exchange.

my XFCCoin are in the online wallet https://wallet.footballcoin.io
I want to sell them on the exchange https://digitaltokens.io
for BTC and then send that out to my ledger.

can you explain how to do this, or what I need to do to get it onto an exchange to sell it. I am seeing all sorts of conflicting info about sending it into the game or getting it off counterpart or into a wallet or whatever. is there ELI5 instructions for the above anywhere?

thanks

MEW lied during the Status ICO and mislead users then blocked tx
by
mdkb
on 21/06/2017, 16:38:14 UTC
I need a new wallet option that is not MEW and I can use with my Ledger Nano and multi coins. any recommends?

most importantly it needs to be able to send during ICOs (Bancor and Status I both lost out on due to MEW)

this time they took the biscuit by posting the below in the message area when I tried to send my tx from MEW during the Status ICO
of course I believed it and so ended up missing out on the ICO as I only found out hours later it was false information.

"⚠ The Status.im Contribution Period has ENDED. Please stop clogging the blockchain with your FOMO. Thanks! 🤗"

it certainly had not ended and did not end for a few hours. when  I tried later my tx didnt even get registered it just sat saying "database is in maintenance" and this morning of course it never happened.

I want away from MEW with my Ledger Nano and my multicoins and to be able to get in on the next ICO without this crap.

suggestions please

Re: BIG price correction on Bitcoin and Ethereum, what happened?

ETH is probably down due to the whalepanda post
https://medium.com/@WhalePanda/i-was-wrong-about-ethereum-804c9a906d36

Thanks for posting that link. I think a must read for anyone invested in ETH.

It's too bad that the Ethereum Platform is going to get a bad reputation because of the con job ETH the token has become. On the other hand since members of the Ethereum Foundation have been involved maybe good riddance. Besides lots of good competitors have released smart contract platforms without participating in a scam.

Whalepanda is the "conjob" not eth, and WP is totally loaded in favor of bitcoin (and the core dev dictatorship for that matter)
Whalepanda attacks Eth because Whalepanda fears Eth.

at the very least see the bias in this matter. WP did not move the price

more likely is; it touched $3K and triggered sells from people at that price. it is common to see selling in trading at key price points. and as we see today it has bounced down the last few days and now on strength is returning to have another go probably bounce again off the 3K point a few times before breaking it, or maybe it will move down and set a new trend south. this is the world of trading.

either way, WP has nothing to do with it other than being a voice for bitcoin and terrified of eth taking its leadership on the Marketcap stage. which really means nothing.

If you replace most of the negative/fear driven "advice" in WPs post with BTC instead of ETH he would also have a valid point. but he only ever focuses his attacks on Eth and only ever lordes his ''precious" bitcoin. there are a lot of the old school bitcoin users who are like this. its a common theme.

face it, ALL crypto is in a bubble and built on uncertain business and technology not just Eth, it is the nature of the process because it is still growing and evolving. in this respect, no one in crypto can really be trusted, it is all a gamble. come back in 10 years and it may be finally showing some stability, or be completely gone. sunk without trace, or controlled by regulators and lawmen.

neutrally speaking, for real world uses eth surpasses bitcoin at the moment simply for usability. everything else is loaded emotion. WPs comments and yours included. (scam? really? back that up with something or move along.)

BTC is probably down due to the Bitmain debacle about hardforking on Aug 1 2017
https://blog.bitmain.com/en/uahf-contingency-plan-uasf-bip148/

ETH is probably down due to the whalepanda post
https://medium.com/@WhalePanda/i-was-wrong-about-ethereum-804c9a906d36

Pretty much everything else is probably being dragged down by the turmoil regarding BTC and ETH.
No worries, it'll recover in time. Smiley

I dont think either of those things are anything but coincidence and a correlation cannot be drawn. far worse news has hit both coins, and the price not moved.
The comments previously about natural corrections when something has been booming upwards for a long period, and also the global stock market movement are much more likely.
point being, it is normal.
welcome to the emotions of trading.

Re: [SNT] Thoughts on the Status ICO?
by

on 14/06/2017, 23:50:37 UTC
50 Millions, are you sure? We get 10000 SNT for 1 ETH, so the crowdsale is over after 5000 ETH?

if this gets widespread interest, then expect the same issue as Bancor ICO;
MEW nodes crashing, purchases hung pending, followed by cancelled tx and money returned a few hours after ICO closes, with loss of fee.
an ICO team get rich, while stating you lost out because their network suffered 'massive attacks'
and no one in the US is welcome to join it... because they might sue them.

so meaning the reason why im not able to see my balance in mew yesterday beacause of too much investment entering in bancor.  Huh

Did you add BNT as a custom token? If you did and didn't see any balance (assuming there is supposed to be a balance), it is because the node(s) you used at MEW to access the ETH network were down or out of action at the time.

no I didnt add it because my tx got cancelled.

at first I couldnt get a response on the MEW node so changed the node to etherscan.io at the 1 hour marker
that went through but disappeared then showed up about 10 minutes later as pending
by about the 2 hour marker it just cancelled the tx and the eth was returned to my MEW,
now the tx says it doesnt exist
though my MEW says it was a failed tx to the Bancorcrowdsale and the reason given in tx is "cancelled"

congratulations and all that

but what happens to those of us who had our Eth tx cancelled despite getting it in before the 3 hour window and some before the 1 hour marker ?
Was this not some kind of guarantee you made, or is that just wind in the tweet now?

Re: Bancor ICO has crashed MEW

No, it's not the problem of MEW, it's the problem of Bancor network itself. Bancor network crashed during crowd funding. Not the MEW.

That doesn't explain why folks had trouble sending ETH from POLO and other exchanges to MEW.

Yes it does, MEW tx traffic during Bancor ICO was off the chart, see the post above with the chart from the MEW tweet. (EDIT: see this link here https://twitter.com/myetherwallet/status/874295898532069378/photo/1 )

what I want to know is if Bancor extended the 1 hour window to 3 hours, how come my purchase got cancelled during that time, and who do I harrass at Bancor about it.

People are crazy. This is more than a bubble. A new definition is required.

yea its called a 'Law Suit'

there are so many people who will have lost out.  the ICO has now ended according to the Bancor twitter account

and I for one still have my Eth tx listed as pending which means they will reject it I expect.

there are literally hundreds of people posting in anger on twitter at the mess and debarcle, esp since some people paid good money to BitcoinSuisseAG to be in on the 1 hour, which then got suddenly extended to 3 hours on a whim due to 'network attack'. (that old chestnut)

this is a good example of an ICO campaign doing what they want, when they feel like it, and fuck everyone who gets shafted, just give us your money.

I hope that everyone involved who gets shafted, has the sense to gather together and make this a landmark event in terms of the sheer numbers of people that can maybe put pressure on this not happening again and see some kind of recompense other than Bancor cheering and toasting their successful collection of everyones money.

it is basically taking the piss, but then hey,  this is the new Gold Rush, and this is the Wild West.
Expect no law here.

Re: The BANCOR ICO will be uncapped

90 minutes left on the "1 hour" uncapped ICO Cheesy

They're on $73 million at the moment, and rising steadily.
I'm pretty sure it will drop like BAT once it's tradeable. Hope so anyway, and I'll pick some up later.

On twitter Bancor have said they are extending it to 3 hours now because the network is being attacked but it has caused a riot, as people have paid good money to BitcoinsuisseAG to guarantee them entry in that 1 hour, to extend now is breaking contracts, so this is a big problem they are facing now.

https://twitter.com/BancorNetwork/status/874283097143037954

Someone just said to me it reminds them of trying to buy concert tickets.

Bancor ICO has crashed MEW
by
mdkb
on 12/06/2017, 15:28:31 UTC
Seems the Bancor ICO has crashed the main MEW node so you cannot access the MyEtherWallet and send Eth to buy into the ICO

the way round it , supposedly, was to click on top right corner in MEW and change the node

but having done that and getting a MEW message to say I successfully sent using the etherscan.io node , I cannot find my tx anywhere, it appeared to send successfully, but has yet to show up anywhere is not even pending on etherscan.io
not going to risk sending again in case something is wrong out there.

Bancor twitter says the ICO has been deliberately attacked.

will be interesting to see what comes of this. it's a big balls up all round for people trying to invest.

EDIT:

my pending tx has only just showed up on etherscan.io about 20 minutes later, so was completely missing until now.

also Bancor have announced they are extending the 1 hour guarantee to 3 hours due to the network attack but this has broken contract for people who paid BitcoinSuisseAG good money to guarantee there position in that hour. thats going to be a legal mess they are going to have to deal with when the dust settles.

interesting times.

Re: Someone's dropping 18M of ETH
by
mdkb
on 12/06/2017, 03:31:07 UTC
it depends who the person owning that 18 million ETH tokens is!
- an imaginary person: obviously no effect
- a whale who is not connected to ethereum foundation and Vitalik: price can take a hit but those guys have a lot more money to put up buy walls that one whale can do nothing.
- the ethereum foundation and Vitalik themselves: price will tank hard and there is nothing stopping it because the only one that was preventing crashes so far with their fake-whaly-buy-walls are selling themselves now.

so figure out who the whale is and you get your answer.

its also possible that the 18M wall didnt have the desired effect of sending the price moving downwards.

if you look at the Polo 24hr chart set to 30 min for 12th June, you can see price flat-lined against the wall, but pressure was clearly on the upside and increasing, so it would have chewed through the wall eventually and the whale would have then had no Eth left. it was hardly bouncing down from it at all, but rather increased. so... possibly they pulled it out because it didnt have the desired effect, or even that another whale started pounding into the 18M wall in response. battle of the titans, we are just pawns in their game.

market depth also shows a lot more buyers weight than sellers. Eth is motoring right now.

more ICO project release will raise the price to the moon
if the profit of ICO down, market bubble will coming!

yea a lot of Bitcoin 'fanboys' who dont like Eth say the same thing. the ICO bubble will pop and then ETH will drop.
they just fear the flippening. besides, Bitcoin shouldnt still be going up given the speed/fee drama it is facing right now, but it is still going up.

and in fairness if you can pick a good business model behind a good ICO and coin, then why would it not be a success?
traditional stock trading has been working this way just fine for many years with IPO launches.

Re: Beware of BANCOR ICO(One of the biggest shills ever)
by
mdkb
on 12/06/2017, 03:07:11 UTC
My perspective has changed on BANCOR, I may support this project(probably not). My issue is the amount of money going to the dev team vs the project. ~50% of funds(ETH) from ICO is going to the dev team while 10% coin to founders, team members, advisors and early contributors, is an issue for me. It shows BANCOR does not have a big economic stake in the coin, they have barely any coin when it is split amongst all those people. You would want the project you support to have the devs have a bigger stake in the coin and less in the ICO funding. They should take less money from the funding and have a bigger coin stake, due to this I will most likely not support this project. However I feel their ICO set up is not too bad though the 1 hour hype and all that marketing hype is still shill. Due to the issues I'd still put it in the "Dev Shill Category"

thanks for putting it all under the microscope all the same. its difficult to have time to interpret and pick good ICOs at the speed they are all coming out, so anyone picking faults can help throw light on issues the rest of us may not see.

though I think we are seeing a change of direction for cryptocoins. as more traditional business people get involved in larger groups it is morphing into the traditional business world methodologies, albeit in a new and relatively unexplored field. so I kind of expect to see the 'shill' & economic decisions being made like with this ICO, since in business world its basic economic, advertising and marketing strategy to do that. Sure it is mostly bullshit, but that is how the commercial world works, and I think more and more that crypto world is going to turn that way. it is bound to.

the day of cryptos being something underground and 'revolutionary', is pretty much over. it's about business and profits now, and that's what will drive the launches.

On Poloniex.

Discussion on what's going to happen to the price?

Price
0.11400000

ETH
60232.36541076

BTC Value
6866.48965683

lol the price was flatlining at 0.114
but it only took 3 hours then buyers chewed through the lot and it surged upwards in the last 30 mins.
classic.
no stopping Eth. the flippening is clearly still happening. ICO fever working like the gold rush era

EDIT:
not sure that they left the 18M in though, as volume of Eth in the 2 hour period is only about 31K from what I can see , they must have pulled it out after 2 hours. could this be whales fighting?

If there are those millionaires, they are sitting on their own island drinking cocktails and not here to answer.

if you arent a miner then  its a zero sum game. someones gain is someone elses loss. i think the quote is the best answer so far. interesting responses here though, i had assumed the same too that there were lots of millionaires but clearly human emotion impacts even the best hodler.

As I understand:
1. 1 PBT means 1 membership.
2. Lifetime

So to be clear, 1 membership is 1 person and 1 seat yes ?

does this mean that you cannot buy less than 1PBT in the ICO?

and if you can, then how does that membership of 1 seat work if it is split between multiple people?
