Great news that South Korea has now taken the decision to recognise crypto exchanges as regulated banks - a fantastic piece of news for anyone who has an interest in crypto and it's future; and also great news for us here at CCRB, as we work towards further developing our very own exchange, CCRBX. Read the full article on the CCN website https://www.ccn.com/breaking-south-korea-is-officially-recognizing-crypto-exchanges-as-regulated-banks/ or visit CCRBX at https://ccrbx.io/

that's really amazing. We need high standards for crypto exchanges and whole crypto industry. If the exchanges in s korea manage to get the bank license, well that will be really cool

Crytocurrency and its exchanges has gotten too big to be ignored.

Re: Where can my friends buy bitcoins and other cryptos?

The one way to buy it is in Indonesia. Bitcoin.co.id

But it's 20% more expensive there.

Anywhere else?

We are located at Indonesia, Singapore, US.

(by fiat of course, otherwise there are tons of options)

There are loads of places to buy bitcoins online. You might even find individuals who are trusted that you can buy from within your local area.
Localbitcoins.net is website you can buy from, with many sellers offering competitive prices.

You can also check the prices and buy from BItpesa.com

There are new coins that are being developed and while they do present opportunities for ground floor involvement, these are high risk ventures as most do not gain traction. Despite, they are still an aspect of crytocurrencies.
Unless you are a well capitalized venture capitalist, these are opportunities you may want to skip.  There are enough altcurrencies that have already began to move that you can participate in but you'll need to study and  be guided as to the right ones to consider.

Re: Bitcoin is a new phenomenal innovation
by

Today as we modernize some of the aspects in the economy like in the production wherein pneumatic machinery are being introduce. Thus, innovation has already prove its efficiency in the production which lowered the production cost. In the areas of transportation, there are cars also being introduced that run by a battery and efficient also and economy in terms of expenses maintenance compared to gasoline powered cars. Other than that there are already other inventions that promote the comfort of living in life. Thus, digital currency is another innovations. Could you consider bitcoin as the new innovations for fiat money? The answer will be used in my research term paper for the adaptation of unified digital currency that could be used by the people around the world.

Bitcoin is based on the beautiful blockchain technology. The blockchain network lives in a state of consensus, one that automatically checks in with itself every ten minutes.  A kind of self-auditing ecosystem of a digital value. The network reconciles every transaction that happens in ten-minute intervals. Each group of these transactions is referred to as a “block”. This means transparency data is embedded within the network as a whole, by definition it is public. Also, it cannot be corrupted by altering any unit of information on the blockchain which cab only happen through using a huge amount of computing power to override the entire network. These attributes make makes bitcoin phenominal.

Re: People are joking about Bitcoin

In recent times, some new ICO companies have been kidding about Bitcoin on Twitter, Facebook for their ICO promotion. I think this promotion way is very negative for Bitcoin. They showed that Bitcoin will be destroyed and their token will become number one. They have presented it in such a way that the price of Bitcoin will not rise anymore. I think this type of promotion is  very negative in the market.

There's enough space for everyone in the sky. They do not need to bring down Bitcoin to attract relevance. Crytocurrencies do not need fight against themselves. Good products always attract.

Re: what are the common challenges for bitcoin user?
by

on 09/05/2018, 09:08:12 UTC
Bitcoin is an incredibly volatile currency since its inception.
Bitcoin has become extremely popular among speculators who buy bitcoin hoping the price will continue to rise, but it isn't helping to fuel bitcoin's popularity as a currency. For example, if I plan to go on vacation in two weeks and want to set aside $1,000 in spending money, if I choose to store this money in bitcoin, its buying power could climb or fall significantly by the time I leave. Most people simply don't want to deal with that level of currency risk.
Bitcoin has to achieve some level of stability before it can be adopted as a mainstream currency.

I only know one which is recommended by a few reputable members and that's Gunbot. I haven't used it personally, but here's the link to it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1715214.0

There's probably other bots out there, but your probably not going to find a more reputable guy selling these types of automatic traders than Gunthar.

So with which exchanges or Brokers can this Robot be used? Any one in particular?

Re: Cryptocurrency education in high school
by

on 03/05/2018, 07:29:19 UTC
Everyday we hear about Blockchain technology, Bitcoin, ICO, Ethereum but not many understand what blockchain, cryptocurrency and Smart Contracts are? How does it all work? How can blockchain be used in business and how will blockchain change the world?

The Blockchain is a technology based on the virtual digitized decentralized network with “blocks” of information. When you add any information in the network (e. g. transaction), you add it in all computers in the network. But if another user in this network adds his information and make a new block after yours, you can’t modify your block. However, you can edit your block if you make it editing from all computers in the network and make similar changes in one moment only. It makes Blockchain one of the best technology for saving and to structure information.

Education is key to really take full advantage of all of its present and future application. Aside exposing high school students to this technology, kids in lower grades schools should also be introduced to this technology. Blockchain technology is here to stay and its now part of us, hence the need for education at all levels of our educational system.

There are a lot of adverts of software robots that claim outrageous profits trading in Crytocurrencies. I've not used any yet but would like to know the best crytorobots (if any) and how effective they are compared to their Forex Robots counterparts.

Re: Best wallet for bitcoin?

Investing or saving? Then a hardware wallet will keep your coins safe.
Otherwise, a software wallet will send and receive bitcoins just fine. Best of all, software wallets are free.
Each wallet has pros and cons, and different wallets are built to solve different problems.
Some wallets may be geared towards security, while some wallets may be more focused on privacy.

Your specific needs should determine the wallet you use, as there is no “best bitcoin wallet”.

Re: Is the Lightning Network centralized?
by
mekusproj
on 27/04/2018, 12:55:39 UTC
Some say that the Lightning Network is centralized, but from my point of view, it's still a decentralized solution to scale Bitcoin as anyone would be able to run a Lightning node at will. The huge advantages that it provides for Bitcoin such as dirt-cheap fees, and instant transactions would be too hard to ignore to implement in the future.

However, if the Lightning Network turns out to become a centralized solution for Bitcoin (like many claims it will), then it would be doomed as only those with a lot of wealth and power would be able to participate in this ecosystem.

What are your thoughts about this? Is Lightning really centralized? Or Decentralized? Huh

The Lightning Network will probably have top-notch privacy features. It will be much more anonymous than ordinary Bitcoin transactions.
Some businesses will run cheap Lightning Nodes to collect and sell data. Lightning users can either use these low-cost lightning nodes,or, use higher-cost, more privacy oriented payment channels. If the network is built by an organisation my take is it will be centralised

Since the Muslim community can now trade/hold/invest legally on Cryptocurrecy especially BTC. Do you think it can uplift the price of BTC and concurrency as a whole?

Dubai is very active on Cryptocurrency. It's hosting many of cryptocurrency forum.
We all know that there are a lots of Arabs that are really rich.

We all know that Cryptocurrencies are innovations created to ease modes of payment from traditional means of payment and its purpose also is to reduce cost of funds transfer between two parties. There is no hidden agenda in Cryptocurrencies that goes against any religious or moral stance. The acceptance is good, not just for them but also for us all. This also means that Crytocurrencies are here to stay and more acceptance will also come.

Re: Samsung has now entered the cryptocurrency world
by

on 27/04/2018, 07:06:40 UTC

As we know Samsung is one of the biggest and famous phones, smartphones, tablets producers in the whole world and now they are planning to make there own mining software. Is this a good news for us bitcoin users? I mean what are they aiming for?

For more info just read visit the link: https://www.sammobile.com/news/samsung-is-reportedly-making-mining-hardware-for-cryptocurrencies/

This means recognition of Bitcoin and other crytocurrencies. For a large conglomerate like Samsung to come into the business of Crytocurrencies, I believe they must have done their research and discovered the importance and potential of Bitcoin. Supporting Bitcoin mining firms with hi-tech mining chip would increase mining capacity and thus more coins are made available to the general public.  This recognition, i believe, would lead to other major players in the same space with Samsung to also come into the building more accessories for the Cryto world.

we should also expect this news to have a positive impact on the price of Bitcoin in the market.

There’s now over 1300 cryptocurrencies on coinmarketcap.com, and dozens of exchanges, and many layers of technologies to understand. The crypto world can be quite overwhelming for newcomers, and it takes plenty of time and research to understand how to get started, and to avoid costly mistakes.

Re: Real life experience paying with bitcoin
by

on 26/04/2018, 14:48:33 UTC
POS machines should have been manufactured by now and deployed to ease payment especially in sales outlets. I believe this will encourage the use of not just bitcoin but other crytocurrencies. I don't think the failure of an app should cause an organisation to discontinue accepting Bitcoin as a mode of payment.
It should be encouraged as an alternative mode of payment especially by young people who, actually are the ones really driving new applications/usage for Bitcoin. Lightening networks should correct the disruptions in networks experienced during transactions. I suggest dedicated networks be built to sustain this aspect of bitcoin usage if possible.

I believe Bitcoin is the future of Internet funds transfer and payment systems.

Re: Bitcoin As a subject in school
by

on 25/04/2018, 21:40:10 UTC
Crytocurrency is continually evolving and continually getting larger and complicated.

I think that as blockchain technology has implications beyond the financial world, it would be a good idea to familiarize more people with the concept. Introducing it into school curriculums at all levels would be an effective way to do that. If we could start seeding a future where people were as blockchain literate as they were with books and essays, think about the additional innovation that we could see. Rather than rely on the guarded knowledge of an elite few, we would benefit from more people potentially contributing to blockchain projects on all levels.
