I keep some long term investment coins in my mtgox account (40ish) as I hope that these over time will rise considerably, but I day trade with around $3000. when the bot is executing trades, I want it to play around with my $3000 but leave my 40btc alone, will the new version do this? If so u have a sale!

Apologies if this has already been asked...

Can I set up two accounts at mtgox?

I already have one in GBP (i'm from UK) which I have some longish term investments in..

I now want one to day trade in USD...

Can i have two accounts linked, or will I have to set up an entire new fresh one (and can i have two accounts under my name?)

Thats because when your trading in GBP, the buy/sell prices you see already have the 2.5% transfer rate built in.

They 0.6% rate will show in your account history, the 2.5% won't however!

I'm currently trading in GBP on gox (i'm from UK) however I'm being charged 2.5% on every trade (on top of the 0.6% fee). Is there someway I can change my GBP to USD in my wallet, so that when I trde I'm getting better rates....

Hopwfully I can then in turn convert the USD balance back into GBP before withdrawing it again (I intend to make lots of trades in a week, but just make a withdrawal once a month).

can someone supply a little more info on this please?

I am waiting for my £1000 day trading pot to arrive at mtgox (i already have some long term bit coins). I assumed that after the receiving fee, all i would be charged is the 0.6%. Which if I do a quick buy and sell would cost me £12 total.

However if I'm also losing an extra £25 in each trade, this is a huge amount. (£62 for each quick buy/sale?)

Maybe there is a better UK based bitcoin currency exchange. Perhaps someone can link one.

Don't think MT GOX accept paypal.

The charge for Llloyds wire trasfers are £20 in branch or £10 if done online. Thats from a personal account.

Yes I think this is high.

None of us can avoid the MT Gox fees, so I guess they'll always be there, but I was kinda hoping this post would prompt responses from other UK bitcoin traders who may explain a cheaper/faster way to do this.

MT Gox Fees...UK based question
by

Hi,

Just trying to figure out exactly what my fees will be for each transaction.

So far I have calulated it as follows:

£10                         Wire transfer fee (charged by Lloyds TSB)
£7ish (1000yen)         Receiving fee by Japanese bank
0.6%                       Buying (trading) fee charged by MTGOX (so on £1000 trade) is £6
0.6%                       Selling (trading) fee charged by MTGOX (so on £1000 trade is £6

so on a £1,000 investment, it will cost me £29

Also, to get the money back into my English bank account, will I pay any further fees from MTGOX or Japanese bank to get the money back in GBP to my LloydsTSB account?

Is a SEPA transfer the same thing as going into a bank and wiring the money across? I sent fom Lloyds TSB in UK direct to the Japanese mt.gox account.... or I have done something slower than that?

Could I not open up an OKPAY account, pay into that immediately and then transfer???

Hi,

I set up an mt.gox account 2 days ago and immediatly wired £1,400 across. I really want to get some money in my mtgox wallet fast, than wait another 3 days. Is there a quicker way to do this?

Mike.
