Did you try with atikmdag-patcher.exe ?
I did try this patch and had the same results. I'm wondering if it's not the cards?
Hey guys....i know this has been asked a million times and a lot of people are saying un-install driver and re-install, which i have done, change the bios to gen1, gen2....tried that as well but i am still having issues and 2 RX 570's getting the Code 43 error!
So i have 5 RX460's running and recently picked up 2 570's cheap and wanted to run them all together. So i plugged them in and they are showing under the device manager but with the nice error message!!
I have done just about everything i could think of and still no luck....Any suggestions?
The weird thing is, i took all other gpu's off and connected to 1 570 and i had an image and everything looked fine when the computer booted up but when you look in the device manager it states there is still an error code 43......i def wasnt on the motherboard display because the graphics were great and not the larger pictures so i dont understand how it can display an image but still have that error. I started up the miner and the miner couldnt find a gpu either so there is an issue but i just cant solve it.....any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey guys....so i am running 4 RX 460's mining Ethereum. I got a good price on a R9 390 card but am having a problem with it.
When i plug it in using a riser like my other cards it runs for 15 minutes and then crashes with a
GPU 4 Hung on Open CL Call then freezes the computer. When it is running its recording like 29 mh/s but its no good to me if it wont stay running and crashes every 15 min.
I have do NO overclocking or undervolting, ALL stock.
I have been looking around and i saw where someone said to increase the virtual memory, which i did but it still crashes......
Any ideas why this would happen? or how to stop it from happening? I want to get some better cards than the 460's but if this is whats going to happen im doing better at 12 mh/s....lol

i had a similar issue so plugged monitor into one of the gpus connected via the risers not mobo. weird thing was a few worked some didn't, never worked out as one displayed monitor.
Yeah i tried this as well and the monitor didn't work either? I didn't try all of them but the one i did try i didn't have a display. Ill try the other 3 maybe tonight and see if that makes a difference. I mean if i can get ANY of them to work so i can see whats going on and start mining that's fine with me. As long as all 4 cards are recognized by the system...lol
Ok so i set up a new rig and am running into an issue where the monitor wont work when the 4 cards are plugged into the mobo with risers.
First I am using the following:
Motherboard: MSI Z170A M5
Graphic Cards: 3 - Gigabyte Radeon RX 460's - 4gb
Graphic Cards: 1 - xfx Radeon RX 460's - 4gb
PSU: EVGA 650 PS2
Risers: Version 6
So i set everything up, mounted the cards on top, connected the risers to the graphics cards, ran the USB cable with the connector to each of the PCIE slots, plugged the monitor into the HDMI port in the mobo turned on the PC and everything starts up but the monitor.
So i unplugged a couple of the video cards, still no monitor.
Unplugged ALL of the riser connectors in the PCIE slots turned on the PC and i have a monitor?
The other test i did was plug one of the graphic cards directly into a PCIE slot plugged the monitor into that and it worked, BUT as soon as plugged the other 3 risers into the PCIE slots i have no monitor?
Any ideas why this would be happening?

It depends on what plans you have for the rig. If just want to start mining as soon as possible, as mentioned a 650W would be plenty for up to 7 460 cards. Stick with EVGA or Corsair Gold or Platinum rated models. The EVGA 650W P2 is a great choice for under $100:

The EVGA 750W P2 or G2 is also a good choice and it comes with twice as many VGA ports. Once you upgrade to better cards you can daisy chain a second PSU and have less out of pocket than a single larger PSU. If you want to wait, RX 570/580 should be more available in a week or two.
If you want to use Windows, an OEM license is available on eBay for less than $5. Any cheap 64GB SSD is enough. If you want to use smOS, a flash drive is sufficient.

Gotcha....so the OEM license. Is that buying just the license and me already having a install disk. Then during the instal when it ask for the license key I enter that one in?
Also can I run 7 cards on the 650w P2 PSU? I probably will only run like 4 or 5 at first but just wondering how many physically I could run, not wattage wise as you said it would run 7
When you buy the OEM license on eBay, the sellers provide a link to download the ISO if you don't have one. You can use that to create a boot flash drive using Rufus. If you plan on using 6+ GPU's, you must install Windows in UEFI mode. Make sure to select GPT disk for UEFI from the Rufus menu when creating the install flash drive or you can select the cd UEFI boot in the motherboard boot menu.
The RX 460's without the PCI-E power connectors should use less than 50 watts each as BBT shows in the video. How many cards you can put in a rig is limited by what the motherboard supports. Most motherboards have less than 6 PCI-E slots. The ones that have 6 or more, do not always work with that many cards or are a pain to setup, so it's important to stick tp motherboards that are known to support 6+ cards.
You also need to get a power usage meter to check how much power is being used by the rig and make sure it's efficient.

Last question so when I create this boot disk do I leave it on fat32 of switch it to ntfs.

It depends on what plans you have for the rig. If just want to start mining as soon as possible, as mentioned a 650W would be plenty for up to 7 460 cards. Stick with EVGA or Corsair Gold or Platinum rated models. The EVGA 650W P2 is a great choice for under $100:

Ive never heard of that mobo but on doing some research, it is listed on ebay for nearly 300$, dont spend that much on a motherboard. you should probably get an msi z170a, either the msi z170a-pro or the gaming m5, they are 120$ tops, also couple them with a g3900 processor (55$) and a 4/8gb of ram, that's about 200-230$ for the mobo/cpu/ram and with the evga that's less than 400 total with the risers, spend more money on cards and less money on the motherboard.
So what power supply should i get?
And are you saying all of that above then get 4 or 5 RX 460's?
Also, what does everyone do about an operating system? Buy a hard drive and install windows 10? Just install Linux?

So i am obviously new to this but my understanding is that the litecoin, fethercoin, factom things like that were really easy to mine right now since they were a low difficulty and you SHOULD use a gpu for that kind of stuff? I was under the impression that bitcoin and things were like the asci cards higher end....?
That depends on your conditions, if you're in a cool area and have low electricity rates then yes the R9 390 is absolutely a choice you might have, it still gets (last time i checked) approximately 30mhs on eth, it just draws a lot of power.
Well it will be in my house so 76 degrees on the regular and it cost about .10 cents a kw. And i was planning on mining like Litecoin/Doge, Dash maybe.....and/or eth

I was thinking of buying a Antminer R4 to start with and a bitmain APW5 PSU, 1300W-2600W power supply....Is that good to start with?
With that, do i basically buy the miner and power supply then hook a monitor up to the R4 connect to a pool and start mining?
Also, with the R4, does that mean i can ONLY mine Bitcoin and not others like Facton, Feathercoin, etc?
