They don't pay out Sad

We paid out to all our miners, but it took some time to do the payments, because our old pool admin(zone117x) left us without any prior notification.
During the time of stuck payments we always kept our users informed on our website about the current situation and gave estimates when to expect their payments.

2014.12.01 Significant Pool Updates were made:
  • New highly skilled admin started working with the pool
  • All pending payouts or stuck payments were made

This week we have made over 2000 manual payouts(it took me ~35 hours to do), because of the earlier blockchain attack.
Now we have paid every single miner in our pool and automated payouts are back to normal.

Also we have added some xmr of our own to compensate all the miners for the lost hashes with corrupted blockchain.

I am showing a pending balance of over 1 XMR. No payment since the 28th of September.
If you are in a hurry, email me(pool[at)cryptoescrow.eu) your wallet address and i will make a manual payment for you. We have raised minimum payout to 2XMR to keep the pool profitable with current transaction fees.

Is nobody maintaining this pool?  My miners can't maintain a connection for crud lately.

Over the past few days, I have ~70% of work going to my backup pool.
Pool is always maintained by zone117x.
We had a few attacks on our pool for the last few days, which overloaded the cpu and crashed the daemon.
Attacks have stopped now and we are upgrading to 16hgz cpu, so overloading the cpu will be pretty much impossible.

Next step in Monero(XMR) development
by

Hi BCT Members,

For the last few months I have been involved in mining cryptonote currencies, running a Monero pool and from what i have learned Monero is the next real thing in crypto currency world.

I have talked with some of the members from Monero core-dev team and they are really awesome guys, doing a hell of the job. This is the reason i  decided i want to contribute to Monero development.
Apart from that i also noticed, that the devs receive a lot of proposals to contribute to Monero development(volunteer work), which they have to turn down right now, because there isn't a system that could be used to manage the workforce and develop Monero in all aspects.

I am an IT project manager and an SEO/marketing specialist, so i figured the next thing Monero needs is some structure and a universal, scalable project management system.
I have previously worked with basecamp.com, managing over 100 people on a few projects and the system with the right setup worked like a charm.

In my opinion Monero success depends on getting as many people involved as possible.
The first step to do this is to gather as much volunteers as possible to contribute to the community and efficiently manage their work.

What i did now is i divided Monero development in 5 different projects and added some sample/real tasks:

Monero Community & Support

Monero Marketing

Monero Other Tasks

Monero Tech Development

Monero Workforce Management

This is only a sample how this could be done.
I would like to hear someone else's opinion on this and if enough people decides that this is something worth doing, i am glad to set everything up, team up with a few enthusiasts and give Monero the next kick it needs.
If you are a Hero member or in a core-dev team or a really motivated BCT member, pm me your email and i will send you an invitation to basecamp.com, so you can take a look at the project management system and check everything yourself.

Looking forward to your opinion.

Today there is a mining botnet set up to hop between pools. Botnet causes most of the pools to crash because of too many connections.

If you want stable mining: Zone117x has updated our pool code and set up some protection.

[ANN][ESCROW & EXCHANGE SERVICE] CryptoEscrow.eu [BTC][LTC][XMR][BCN][FCN][QCN]
by
mindless
on 11/07/2014, 14:19:43 UTC
A few months ago I tried to buy some ByteCoin, I didn't have a poloniex account and wanted to do an old school trade via BCT forum or irc.
I knew i needed to use an escrow service, tried sending messages to some of BCT members who provided these services, but the sellers either gave me an answer that they don't trust the "escrow'er" or at the time the "escrow'ers" weren't available for the job.
For me It was a nightmare getting the exchange done and took almost 3 days - this was the moment when i decided to launch a dedicated escrow service, which works in a semi-automated way and provides fast escrow services 24/7, 365 days a year.

Dedicated Escrow Service

All Escrow exchanges are performed in less than 24hours, if you can find me on IRC, skype or email, your exchange will most likely be completed in less than an hour.

http://www.cryptoescrow.eu works in a semi-automated way.
This means that, you and other party will have to fill in an escrow exchange form on the website and confirm that you have sent the coins to the specified wallet.
I receive a notification to check my wallets, if the money is in i confirm the escrow trade and you receive your coins & emails about completed escrow exchange.
If one of the parties fail to send the coins you will receive an automated refund in 24 hours without any fees charged.

Features:

  • Low 1% fee
  • Fast Dedicated Service
  • Automatic Refund if Escrow Exchange Fails
  • Simple & Easy to Use

Credibility & Security

Exchanges are done by a registered company with a physical address, employees and a trusted social status in online world.

Hi, Fellow Miners,

I have some important news for you:

1) We have upgraded our server to a more powerful one - please
check if your miners are reconnected.

2) We have lowered minimum payout from 0.5XMR to 0.2XMR, because of
requests we received from our miners.

3) Claymore GPU miners were updated to version 5. If you are mining
on a GPU this will give you a significant increase in hashrate.
50% increase on 6xxx cards with "-a 3" mode

If you are not mining with us now, quick connection code:
Code:
minerd -a cryptonight -o stratum+tcp://pool.cryptoescrow.eu:5555 -u YOUR-WALLET-ADDRESS -p x

Did the daemon get stuck earlier? I noticed that the Network "block found" went as high as '5 hours ago' earlier today, and all the other stats froze too.

No, the daemon was never stuck.

The Monero Mining Hardware Comparison at the bottom of the home page seems outdated?

At highest it lists i7-2600 at at 134H/s - I get a stable 252H/s with my i7-2600 running stock clocks and stock cooling (Windows 8 machine).
i7-4770 is similarly listed at 160H/s, but I gett a stable 279H/s with my i7-4770 running stock clocks and stock cooling (Gentoo linux build).

Overclocking provides more hashrate too, of course.

Not sure how beneficial it is to have that document linked when there are at least 3 cpu miners, as well as nvidia and amd mining options available, unless you're going to keep it updated.
I will definitely update the list as soon as i have more spare time.

Hi, Fellow Miners,

We want to make an announcement, that the daemon we use at:
pool.cryptoescrow.eu
Is one of the most stable daemons available on the market.

Since the daemon update 5 days ago, our Monero daemon never got stuck.

Currently showing pool hasrate = 0
Last block found 2 hours ago
Block found every: Infinity years

Are your miners wasting their hashes again?
It was an API update done by zone117x, which was done very quickly and is impossible to do without turning off the old api.
You can see our stats, that the pool never got stuck and hasn't wasted hashes: http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu/#pool_blocks

We even had this message on our website: July 4th: Front-end currently being updated to latest pool code. Mining is (as always) completely working.
But if you had the website cached it wouldn't show up unless you reload it with Ctrl + F5

Another great day at http://pool.cryptoescrow.eu
Our Luck Average is staying at: 367%
Our custom Daemon hasn't got stuck even once in 6 days - didn't need a restart, which means that maximum mining efficiency is guaranteed.

Hi, Fellow Miners,

We want to make an announcement, that the daemon we use at:
pool.cryptoescrow.eu
Is one of the most stable daemons available on the market.

Since the daemon update 5 days ago, our Monero daemon never got stuck.
Other pools are usually restarting the daemon every 30minutes which
results in wasted hashes, because the daemon needs some time to save
the blockchain and to restart.
On average it takes around 90 seconds.

The math is simple:
48 restarts x 90 seconds = 4320 seconds = 72 minutes = 5% of all hashes wasted.

We do not waste these 5% of all the hashes.

Have a great day!

Looks like stratum is offline.

Edit: back online after ~15min.

Edit2: seeing periodic connection timeouts

Stratum was off for ~5mins, we had to do some tech maintenance and a restart.

Are you seeing connection timeouts on the website, or on your mining software?
Connection timeouts on the website does not have any effect on mining efficiency and its normal to see them from time to time.
Mining software.  Website outage doesn't matter to me, but my rigs are failing over to backup pools a lot right now.
Sent you a pm, for more info.

that's very interesting because as far as I know, nobody has figured out what causes the daemon to silently crash. if you have a fix and are keeping it secret, you really should release the code to the public so we can all benefit from it. open source, and all that jazz.
From what i have heard, our daemon fixes were released, but the devs reverted the fixes to avoid some possible bugs with wallet synchronization.

Zone fixed it - you say "our" like it was some sort of group effort Tongue

If i say our internet connection is very good, doesn't mean i invented the internet Smiley
But I agree my expression wasn't very accurate.
