Talk to people, okay?
I have 3 defective boards.

Can anyone tell me what name and value to put in the customs declaration to send back to BitMain?

I have this doubt, because the support does not answer me.

v2.02 beta :: 14/12 :: test version

Download:

https://mega.nz/#!DghG2KwC!OJEK4_d47skRB6yrLRE2bfzlX7FWXLXzgoKA_q5dKco

Changes 14/12:
- fixed auto recover from xxxx
- cleaned up kernel logging
- a bit more aggressive tuning
- tunes down faster now when too many HW errors are detected

Changes 13/12:
- Totally rewritten code base, based from latest available bitmain / cgminer sources
- ASIC's now automatically recovers from xxxxx errors without restarting (The auto reboot options are still in there in case it doesn't succeed)
- blazing fast mining status overview in the webinterface Cheesy
- as requested: the dev mining starts later now (after 5 minutes)
- as requested: dev pools status is now visible in the miner status

and last but not least...

- added a first version of the auto tune!  Cool

When enabled this will search for the best possible frequency at the given voltage setting. The first 5 to 10 minutes it will search for a good base to start from. After that it checks for excessive HW errors every 15 minutes and adjusts the frequency accordingly.

Important: This feature is not completely finished and the startup is a bit slow now.. Therefore I need your help. So what do you need to do:

set your advanced settings the same as displayed bellow
let it run for at least 20 minutes
PM your (complete) kernel log
By doing so I can get to a conclusion what the starting frequency of the auto tune algorithm should be.
In case you want to help more: increase the voltage a bit and do the steps above again as it will give some more information

Thank you!

Please test and give feedback / a kernel log how it works for you. I need some feedback on this version guys  Grin

My test is up there.

KERNEL LOG: https://ghostbin.com/paste/7t8fh

My # CHAIN1 card does not work, so the log should show it faulty.

Today BitMain support me answered this here:

"Dear Marcos,

Thanks for your consultation!

Please try to replace with a good known control board. Kindly let me know if it works.

This is a control board.

after running my two d3's with 400Mhz since 2 Days, im getting tousands of HW in a few hours.
i rised the voltage already to 2 but its dont getting better.
but it dont affects the hashrate or the asics, so can i keep it running or should i rise the voltage further?

try to set default voltage (13) to test then lower 2 by 2 to see ... whats your ambiant temp ?
if you have less than 12~15 hw / hour it s ok

yeah i rised the voltage to 3 and see what happens, if needed i go further.
my ambient temp.... they stay in a basement and i think its somewhere between 15 an 20°C and i placed a little vent in front of them
the chiptemps are between 64 and 72°C

Yeah.
I think next year she can become a great miner, but it's complicated. I spent a lot of money on an investment that was great, but it fell so deep that it totally discouraged. And now these defective badges have discouraged me even more ...

Now I do not know if I get that bad shit or if I wrap it up for them to fix.

The problem is that they never reply to me in the support, and when they respond, I just send CTRL + C and CTRL + V, it's complicated.

I will try to test the reset button you said ... It's a very small hole that stays in the machine right?

Can anyone tell me if after having used the Blissz firmware, is it still possible to replace the defective board by sending it to the bitmain?

It's that with some faulty ones, but I used his firmware.
  Undecided

how could they find out? tehy just get the boards with the asic's and not the control board Wink
or am i wrong?

right if you send only hashboard.

@festim dont mining on antpool ... darkside

@mkmfins ... yep probably burn some of ... lower frequency for long life ... worst default (way) of humanity -> "Ever want more". if everyone go to 400Mhz , we all get more profit cause difficulty lowering and watts to :s but it s a dream i think

And for some people asking if mods will come for L3+ or S9 , i m following this thread & dev since begining , and if i'm right : Blissz do not have those miners , so it's impossible to have some test to mod it unfortunalty for us ... i just connect one S9 it 's like ... euh ... plane reactor in my living  Shocked

and if some of you have break one or want to donate for the time to create mod , i 'm sure it's welcome Smiley

My question is because I'm from Brazil, so I send that shit back to them to fix it, I'm going to spend more money, I'm going to risk having to pay more for customs, it's too complicated ...

So my doubt on whether I can continue to use this faulty board, trying to put the Mhz and Low frequency ...

But if I send only the bad cards to BitMain, I can send them without fear that they know I put the Blissz firmware, right?

People. I keep wondering here.
I have already tested all methods to readjust this CHAIN # 1, but in all configurations it shows a high volume of HW error, I keep wondering.

Can I continue to use it this way and try to put a low temperature on this board?

It is because it will not be worth much I send it back to Bitmain, the loss of having bought it is already great, to send I will have to spend more money, in the end will only increase the loss ...

Could it be that with these errors, or trying to make a better readjustment possible, can I keep it going for a long time?

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND TO ME Huh

Can anyone explain or help me on this issue?

That Chain is Faulty.. It should say 60 ASIC, and i doesn't.
I think you are missing some ASIC chips on the board.

Best regards: Monberg

Yes I know.
But my question is: Can I still use it anyway? Am I at risk of burning the whole machine?

Is that for me not worth sending back ..

This machine has the 3 defective plates.

There will be no other way to get her back to Bitmain, but their support is horrible in every way, they do not give a hand to this dung machine.

I have this difficulty still.
My CHAIN # 1 card does not show in ASIC status, but it is still working in the pool showing an increase that CHAIN 2 and 3 did not show.

When I turn it off completely the GH / S decreases a lot.
What can this be?

If I let her work this way, is there any chance of something worse going on?

If there's anything I can do to get her on, because it's no good for me to send her back to bitmain, because I'm going to pay a high freight rate and if I do, I'll have to pay the customs as well. In the end you will not give me any profit and only lose ... But than I've lost when buying that shit.

Hi, to all
Yesterday my Antminer D3 Chain #3 is disappeared!
I have resetted the Antminer D3, but same problem, I have flashed the latest Bliss firmware but same problem.
The hashrate is the same of 3 chains visible.  Huh
What's the problem? How can I solve?
Thank you in advance!
https://s2.postimg.org/za0xc06vb/chain_3_disappeared.jpg

I'm having this same problem ...
As incredible as it may seem Chain is still working, you just disconnect it from the cables that will see that your GH / S (GH / S) will fall, but now I wonder how to solve it?
Did it burn? Is it wanting to burn?

The source is not, because I changed sources with the other machines I have here and it continued the same thing.

My antminer mine just arrived and on calling I'm encountering this errors as shown in the two screenshots below.

https://i.imgur.com/aHiduWO.png
https://i.imgur.com/Umi8UDa.png

What should I do ?

It´s maybe a power problem with the hashboards,
when you run your miner at 120V reduce the frequency in adv. Settings, maybe to 500 or lower. when you have 240V try with 506.

has more to do with your psu than the (edit for INPUT voltage I mean) voltage you are running at.. pretty much 240v to psu vs 120v to psu comes down to how many amps the psu draws (how hot is the psu and the cord to wall going to get) psu to machine is 12v and whatever amps the settings draw, it doesn't give a flip at that point what the input voltage is. (240v is better for many reasons, but primarily (for miners) to ease the workload on your psu, and in the case of certain dual voltage psu's allow for more watts to be drawn (which also decreases the work load on your psu.) over half the problems I've encountered with people overclocking was about the psu and not so much the machines. - The other half was about improper cooling. (Either from manf end. or user derping)

All that being said lowering settings is still probably the right choice. Smiley

I think they are from the same machines, because the two I bought came with errors.

1 - It has an error in the 3 CHAINS, it is not active, it is active ... It takes 20 seconds with ASIC STATUS in "0" and ASICS is missing, and then everyone has the "X".

2 - You are in error only in CHAIN 1, taking only 5 ASIC STATUS.

I do not know what else to do...

You were already informed what to try, lower the speed. --> do 400 freq - see if the boards come back up, if they do cool .. work your way up, if they don't then come back with what they did when you put it at 400.   Does that make it clearer?

Currently I'm using settings like this.
But still with the mistakes, I do not know what to do, maybe it was already bad this CHAIN 1.
If they have recommendations for me to test and have a higher percentage.

Can anyone help me with this error? This is mine D3_2, different from the above mistakes that I put.
This is giving these errors on CHAIN_1
Does anyone have a solution or a hint to fix this?
ERRO: https://i.imgur.com/CyQB8WG.png

Do you bought the two D3 as new from Bitmain or in used condition?

Maybe ASICS are burned out, see the lot of HW errors, they will mostly never be come back. Use the tip from blissz - when this not helps you have a problem.
S9 / L3+ have stable ASIC's but the ASIC's from D3 burning out very easy, simply a longer time chip temp above 75 or 80 degrees kill them
and IMHO the frequenzy and voltage set from Bitmain on the 19 GH/s batch is to high for a long time 24/7 ASIC runtime.

When i read the "overclock" posts here - simply do it and you will kill all your ASIC's after a week or so.
This is good for decreasing the DASH difficulty... Wink

The two are brand new, in the same LOT.

- One has this error in CHAIN 1 in 5 ASIC status.
- The other one is in error in the 3 CHAINS.
