We started to work on the Gentlemen Coin platform  . We are very pleased to give you a first impression about what you can expect

- We are working after the "release early and often" paradigm - this means you will recieve a first access very soon and are able to work with the basic functionality at a very early stage
- Basic functionality includes starting a Gentlemen Coin Masternode with a few clicks directlty from the dashboard.
- For security reasons you always keep your coins (collateral for masternode) in your local wallet - all you need is to send a few coins (enough coins to keep the service running) in the account wallet we will provide to you
- The script will handle all the hard setup work for you (starting a vultr server, installing the demon, setting coinfig, etc) and let you monitor your masternode(es) within a single place.
- We will be starting with Genelmemen Coin Masternodes, but will allow other coin projects very soon as well on the platform
- We will inform you here as soon as you can get access to the plaform

We recommend everybody who wants to buy Gentlemen Coins to buy directly from us (Devs) via discord. We cannot guarantee the safe arrival of coins for trades which happen not through us or via an official exchange.

We are still in the Masternode Presale Phase. Buying coins during the presale phase will mean you support the project getting listed on good (not any crappy, bot swarmed) exchanges, you help to market the project which increases the long term value of your coins and we protect you from harmful coin dumps as we will not list the project on any exchange until the presale phase is over. This means you have a chance to accumulate coins and will be ready to sell to new investors for a good price as soon as we get listed and start our marketing engine. It's a win-win for everybody.

We are pleased to give you some updates on the progress and an outlook where our project is heading:

1. With the help of our bounty campaigns, marketing efforts and your support we managed to increase the size of our community significantly. Within 2 weeks we have now more than 550 Discord users, a large number of bounty participants and some more than 60 masternodes in the network. This is a very healthy growth rate and we are very happy about those results and thank everybody for the support. At the same time we want to encourage you even more to spread the word and help to grow our community further.

2. We are currently evaluating a new service which we intend to launch - a one click masternode setup service, managed through a gentlemencoin platform, which enables you in the beginning to hast Gent Coin Masternodes, and later on also masternodes from other coins. The System will be fueled by Gent coins and you will not have to worry anymore about setting up servers on Vultr (the system will do this for you automatically). Masternode setup and maintenance is a tidious task and we believe Gentlemen should have a service like this.

Further plans include a service to share masternode for those not able to invest a full node. We are in progress to update our whitepaper and roadmap with those new services and will keep you updated about projections for release dates.

3. We will make some changes to the protocol in the next release (which will be released in the following days). We decided to increase incentives for masternodes by increasing masternode rewards from 45% to 70% of block reward. The new reward structure will look as follows:

Masternode Rewards: 70%
PoW (Mining) Rewards: 20%
Governance: 10%

Block rewards will stay the same (20 Gents), declining monthly. Mining will remain only possible through solo mining (Wallet).

Did you know that Gentlemen Coin has an integrated Voting system?

How does it work?
10% of all Block Rewards are held in a fund, which is only accessible through proposals. Everybody is able to submit a new proposal. The collateral to do so is 50 Gents. The idea behind is, that everybody can request coins for good projects and if the community agrees this is working as a funding tool.

Only Masternodes have the ability to vote (1 vote per Masternode) "yes" or "no" to the proposals. Proposals are paid out every month in superblocks.

We started a first proposal from our side to pay our devs in vietnam (yes, they don't work for free  ) - we are proposing a monthly payment of 10000 Gent Coins which we will use to pay their invoices. We hope to come up with more resources from the community to implement new features, but until then we need to be able to pay for them.
