The new beta version is finally ready. You can download PhoenixMiner 5.7a from here:

PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Windows.zip (GitHub)
PhoenixMiner_5.7a_Linux.tar.gz (GitHub)

The new features in this release are:

  • Added lock core clock
  • The problem with the missing GPU temperatures on Nvidia GPUs is fixed
  • Added native kernels for AMD RX6700 GPUs. These are faster than the generic kernels and produce a lot less stale shares
  • Increase the max supported DAG epoch to 550 (should be enough to about Jan 2023)
  • Full support for setting clocks, fan speeds, voltages, and memory timings of AMD RX6900/6800/6700 cards
  • The specific hashrate is now shown in the form of kilo hashes per joule (kH/J). Example: if a GPU has hashrate of 30 MH/s with 100W power usage, the specific hashrate is 300 kH/J
  • Added new command-line parameters -ttj and -ttmem, allowing automatic fan speed control based on GPU hotspot (junction), and memory temperatures respectively. Example: -ttmem 83 will keep the GPU memory temperature at or bellow 83C by increasing the fan speed as necessary. These parameters can be combined with -tt, as well as with each other. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added new command-line parameters -tmaxj and -tmaxmem, allowing to decrease the GPU usage when the GPU hotspot (junction), or GPU memory temperatures are above the specified thresholds. These options are supported only on AMD GPUs that report junction and memory temperatures
  • Added support for AMD Windows drivers 21.3.2, and 21.3.1
  • Added support for AMD Linux drivers 20.50.x. Use this drivers only if you have Polaris or older GPUs, or the latest RX6x000 GPUs. WARNING: Vega, Radeon VII, and Navi GPUs won't work with these drivers!
  • Turn off the zero fan feature on AMD cards whenever a fixed fan speed is used (e.g. -tt -40), or when an auto fan with min fan speed is used (e.g. -tt 63 -minfan 35). To disable this feature, add -fanstop 1 command-line parameter
  • When -mcdag 1 is specified under Linux, the miner will not wait for the daggen.sh script to finish before starting to generate the DAGs. Instead it will for a fixed 7 seconds. This allows you to do all the following in the daggen.sh: turn off the overclocking of Nvidia GPUs, sleep for 30-60 seconds to allow time for DAG generation, and then re-apply the overclocking of the Nvidia GPUs
  • Other small improvements and fixes

The support for -ttj, -ttmem, -tmaxj, and -tmaxmem for Nvidia 3090 and 3080 GPUs is not yet ready for release. We hope to have it ready for the final 5.7 release.

For more robust integrity check, you can use our GPG public key, which was verifyed with ETH transaction from our main devfee account as explained here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2647654.msg56755869#msg56755869.

Please let us know if you have any problems or questions related to PhoenixMiner 5.7a.

Here is another ApeSwap video I made. I haven't done animation in awhile, and thought I would do something fun. My little ape voice is terrible, haha.

Re: John McAfee will not promote ICO anymore
by

At some point, John started promoting every project thinking he was helping decentralization. I believe he noticed that this reduced the value of his recommendations and will soon support projects with real value. He promoted DeepOnion's new website but I'm not sure if it got good attention in the middle of all the altcoin hype. After hearing him speak in the last video, he put good emphasis on privacy coins. Decentralization and our privacy will give us our power back from the old corrupted banking system.
I agree he lost a bit of credibility when he started promoting anything and everything. I too liked his emphasis on the privacy coins. There is a definite need for them, especially the ones that offer real world value.

Re: Which is more effective Bounty or Airdrops ?

I think they both can be effective. What I like about Airdrops is usually you have to meet criteria in order to receive the coins. Which helps the coin grow. But with both methods you will usually have several folks that just dump the coins right when they get them. I enjoyed both methods with DeepOnion.

I am a strong supporter of this coin, as noted in my signature. But before I invested, I did my own research, read the whitepaper, reviewed the website, they just came out with a new website which is pretty awesome. And I have been happy with my investment. With so many coins out there, which do you choose if you choose any at all? Well the ones you research and think have a future. I personally like what this coin offers. It is not the only coin in my portfolio but it is my biggest position. Good luck on your research and with whatever coins you decide to invest in. Regardless of if you are investing in DeepOnion or not, if you are investing in crypto it is good for the whole market. Smiley

Fascinating topic! I love learning more about Passive Income. There are so many ways in which we can do it as well. I have a Youtube Channel and generate small amounts of income from that. I do affiliate links on Amazon. I do Posts on Steemit, and get a little bit there, my main crypto that I invest in, DeepOnion has PoS, so I have been staking on it 24/7, and have generated a bit of income that way. When you add up all these small avenues, it works out to be pretty decent. I can't quit my day job yet though! lol Smiley

Star Trek DeepOnion | Destination Airdrop
by

on 13/04/2018, 01:48:26 UTC
Cryptocurrency meets Star Trek? Star Date is 3018. This Star Trek fan film is the second of the series and is based around my favorite cryptocurrency that I invest in, a privacy coin called DeepOnion. If you haven't seen the first one I recommend watching that before this one, link down below. I tried to make the video appealing to both fans of Star Trek/Sci-Fi genre, as well as investors and potential investors in cryptocurrencies and of course DeepOnion. Those in the community forum will catch a few things as well if they have been active there. I have always been a big fan of Star Trek and Star Wars as well as making fan films and parodies. Enjoy!

I believe there will be a small dump after the airdrop. I hope the dump is small and does not last long  Grin
Well I don't think there will be. It's terrible times to sell and people knows that Wink
You make a great point Cobaro. Even with the free onions from the airdrop, why would you sell in this market right now. But I can't speak for everyone's situation. they gotta do what they gotta do.

I personally really like airdrops. DeepOnion has a free airdrop going on right now, 7 more to go. It is a great way to distribute the coin and build up a community of people. Another thing I like about DeepOnion are all the features they keep coming out with, a recent one is an Android Wallet, which they are in the final stages of development on it! That is way cool. Check out more information about the wallet here:

A lot of airdrop coins have slowly disappeared, only deeponion still continue, stand the test of time Smiley
I agree. I joined a few airdrops and only DeepOnion became successful, the others either became scam with the Devs running away with the donations or they just died. I am glad to find DeepOnion midway it's airdrops.

DeepOnion will never let us down. Its a quite really interesting project. I love their official Rap music video. Awesomeness overload.

Yeah it really is a great project! And the amount of talent we have in the community writing articles, making videos, tweeting, commenting, etc. all to promote DeepOnion is absolutely amazing. Keep it up guys!

There are several good coins to invest in, BTC and ETH are safe bets, but you won't see the returns that you will with the lower priced coins. One coin I really like is a privacy coin called DeepOnion, it's ATH was a little over $20 USD, and is currently around $3.10, such an undervalued coin at the moment. And their community is so awesome. You can join the free airdrops will increase your investment, also they have bounties, and contests all in which you can earn free onions. Check out the community here: deeponion.org/community, Good luck on your investments!

Re: Top Privacy Coin of 2018?

My vote goes for DeepOnion. I am constantly impressed with all the features they have, like the latest Tor update, highly secured transactions, lightening fast transactions, secure wallet, soon to be released mobile wallet for Android users, integrated with Obfs4 and Meek, and the Free Airdrop going on right now. Plus I can't get enough of the community, so great talent there all working hard to make this privacy coin incredible.

I have only participate in 1 Airdrop so far, and it is still going on with a privacy coin, DeepOnion. I have loved it so far. Smiley I think it is a great way to get the word out about the coin. They have about 8 more weeks of airdrops. So I am looking forward to that. I can't say much about any other coin as far as their airdrops, since I haven't been a part of them.

Yeah I hear you! lol it was crazy when I first got into it. I would look at my portfolio 10 minutes later it would be up 300 bucks, 2 hours later it would be down 500! lol. But I think it helps to bring the stress level down when you are only investing money that you can afford to lose. Don't take loans out to invest in cryptocurrency, don't borrow from family, etc. That should help with the stress. Smiley

Re: Altcoins You Think will Grow
by
mrchef111
on 13/02/2018, 16:04:13 UTC
I definitely think this will be the year of the Altcoin. The top coins I think will grow this year are as follows (all of which I am holding).

In no particular order:
XLM (Stellar Lumens)
XRP (Ripple)
RLC (iEx.ec)
Onion (DeepOnion)
ETN (Electroneum)

Good things will happen this year for the Altcoins. Smiley But I also am picking coins I think have real world solutions backing them. I think other crap coins will fall away.

Re: Privacy coins list - which one is the best ??
by
mrchef111
on 07/02/2018, 16:05:36 UTC
I definitely vote for DeepOnion as the best privacy coin. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time investing in this anonymous coin that uses the Tor network. I know I know, everyone says that about their favorite coin. Well here are the reasons why I like this coin and have invested heavily into it:

-Free Airdrop (I could stop here, but won't)
-Integrated with Obfs4
-Secure Wallets for Windows, Linux, and Mac (Mobile Wallet almost out)
-Amazing community (They hold contest, bounties, giveaways, and other ways to earn more onions).
-Active and Deeply committed Dev team.

The list goes on. Check out the white paper here: https://deeponion.org/White-Paper.pdf

Come on over and join us. If you like what you see, stay awhile.

Re: Should I Buy or Sell now?
by
mrchef111
on 06/02/2018, 02:40:02 UTC
Typically the rule of thumb is buy low and sell high. It is a crazy market a roller coaster ride of hi's and lows, with lately all kinds of lows. The question is, when did you get in? If you bought high, I would wait, but if you bought really well and can still realize profits, you could sell some. But really up to you. If you think the market is going to continue to go down down down, then you could sell and buy back the same coins at a cheaper price, which is basically shorting your position. But I am not a financial advisor. Always invest what you are willing to lose. Smiley good luck!
