I sent 20mil zeitcoin to mintpal over 12hrs ago and still have 0 of 20 confirms.
Im not sure how to use block explorer.

All i get when i search is some page saying "our satellite server is upgrading its laser".
I'm not even sure i'm searching the block chain right.

Anyway, iissue is solved.... I needed the extra couple BTC to buy another R9 290, so it worked out fine for me.

Just giving everyone an update:
Working on a wallet update. Taking a break for the night. Update will be done and binaries will be launched hopefully in the next 24 - 72 hours.
Adds 2 features, and changes 1.
New Feature: Unlock Wallet
-- Allows wallet to be unlocked for minting and transactions. Locks when wallet is closed.
New Feature: Mint Wallet
-- Allows wallet to be unlocked for minting only. No transactions will be able to be sent.
Changed Feature: Change Passphrase (Not sure if I will use it)
-- To change passphrase, the wallet must be in an unlocked (Unlock or Mint) state, and will still ask for passphrase. This makes it require the passphrase twice before being able to change your passphrase.

can someone help with wallet update install?
i followed the instructions now i cant even open the wallet. error reads:
"microsoft visual c++ runtime library. this application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. please contact the applications support team for more information"
i still have the wallet.dat that i backed up so i hope the money isn't gone.
any help is appreciated...

Then you most likely just have an error in your zeitcoin.conf file you created.
Try starting the wallet without the file, if it starts, then you know the zeitcoin.conf is where the problem is.
Your zeitcoin.conf should contain.

another account unlocked manually mine away.If it becomes more drinks than dinner and your test ends and you shutdown the pool while my worker is still running...thats ok

Ok thanks guys, i figured it out. Apparently the conf file had to be named zeit.conf, i had it named test.conf. Its working now.
But as someone just asked yea, what is "No suitable long-poll found for http://localhost:55555" Is what it says while its running?

could be your cgminer version.
It has something to do with pools and isnt used when solo mining.... but its been so long since I looked up the error that I cannot remember exactly what it means, so you'll have to use some google-fu
if you want more info on it.
edit: Ahhhh.... here is what google turned up.
Longpolling is a Feature of pools, which will give Information to the miners when a new block is found. And it is usually faster than the built in detection of the Client.

Come on man, it's unfair to refer to the giveaway winners as "beggars." Some of us are still patiently waiting our rewards for ADVERTISING this coin. Doesn't make us beggars as we provided a service. I do agree that people just need to be patient and let the devs work out the issues with the wallets first though and leave them alone about it. The devs will send out the rewards when they can.

I'm sure once we get closer to minting, there will be plenty of discussion on here of what is the safest way to unlock for minting.
There are a lot of smart members here, so Im hoping someone writes us a batch file/config or something for minting, so we can keep our wallets safe at all times. (hint...hint.. )

No way I know of yet to remove it permanently. You can remove it temporarily by typing this in the console.
type walletpassphrase "password" 999999999 true
Where 999999999 = the number of seconds to unlock for minting.

Simply dump private key and import to new wallet.

walletpassphrase = the actual word walletpassphrase exactly as its typed here.
"password" = your personal wallet password.
And the wallet will "re-lock" if its shutdown and restarted regardless of the time you set.

Your probably thinking "great" who gives a shit what's in it for me? I know we all have our own reasons however we aim to please you as well. So to create a great buzz about ZEITCOIN we will be having a huuuge giveaway! The first 2000 people who follow us on twiiter and like our facebook page will receive 50,000 ZEIT once they receive the wallet and don't worry we will have a google doc showing the people who will be rewarded. Keep in mind we are a small team so your giveaway will most likely be day three of launch. We also will have 2 people chosen at random to receive 100,000 ZEIT each.
How does this figure? Both the Facebook page and your Twitter account have less than 2000 on each. If you are doing the giveaway to people who follow on Twitter AND like the Facebook page (as stated in your post), it should still be on. Now, if you meant follow on Twitter OR like the Facebook page, then so be it, but based on what you wrote, you should have been doing the giveaway only to those who did both, not either/or. Just sayin'.
2000 * 50,000 is 100mil (not 2000 each but 2000 total)
Right..... 2000 people who like the Facebook page AND follow on Twitter * 50,000 = 100mil
Since both the Facebook and Twitter currently have less than 2000 on either one, clearly there are less than 2000 who did both, as would be implied by "The first 2000 people who follow us on twiiter and like our facebook page...", and the giveaway should still be on (to people who did both, not either/or)

But I guess there were too many people that weren't on both twitter and FB, so they started excepting either one.
Which I can easily understand, I use both those programs so little I had to literally google how to send a PM on twitter. LOL
