Re: ICO's are finally coming to an end!
by

on 28/11/2017, 01:05:48 UTC
I don't think ICOs are finally coming to an end, not at all. Of course the number of ICOs are decreasing as a result of awareness among people about alot of ICOs which were scams and stuff. Still not all of the ICOs are scams and a huge number people still invest in ICOs so it is not going go end anytime soon. It may gradually reduce but for it to end completely is going to take a long of time.

Re: Why is the price of bitcoin so high
by
multibit
on 28/11/2017, 01:00:33 UTC
There is only so much Bitcoin that will ever exist, every day less and less bitcoins are being “mined”. Unarguably, bitcoin is very popular, which creates more demand for it. The supply however, is limited. That's were the basic principles of Supply and Demand comes in. You want a bitcoin, Everyone wants a bitcoin, but its limited. Which means that in order for you to get that bitcoin you need to pay more than me and the other person that wants a Bitcoin. There is more demand than available supply. Also, the legalization of other countries in using bitcoin might also affect its  value. Also the prediction of experts also affects its current value. And I think it will continue to increase.

Re: Eth will reach 1000 $
by

Eventually ETH will match or surpass BTC maketcap. Just like Facebook surpassed Myspace. It won't happen overnight, but 1-2 years is a safe estimate. It all comes down to tech fundamentals and the development community. There's a reason why developers are flocking to Ethereum, and why Bitcoin can't even agree on simple protocol upgrades without having to fork.... Of course, nobody really knows for certain what will happen, so take my comments with a huge grain of salt... But to me the risk/reward is very clear and favorable towards ETH in the long term.

Not buy BTC when the price $300, just thinking the price will go down down and down again but I'm truly wrong, and get another chance when BTC price $600 I'm stick not buy and finally I buy when BTC price is $1,300, my BTC value doubled now.
We are the same on having doubts on a particular price range of Bitcoin and back into those years i do really believe that the price might be at its highest thats why i do really hesitate to buy even more because im afraid to

I was thinking of using Tether as a dollar proxy in trading swings in BTC and others.
That should work better when most cryptos go up and down at the same time.
It has 100 million units and good volume. Should be fine for risking small amounts of
money for a few days between buying/selling other cryptos.

Someone just pointed me out to a clause in their Terms and COnditions, saying that it should not be used for money laundering. I am unsure what all does that cover. But if they have the ability to pull out coins from someone's wallet who does that, then it would be the most stupid investment ever.

Re: Do you think that atl-coins are still "alt"?
by
multibit
on 28/11/2017, 00:27:01 UTC
I agree with that alt means alternate coins but when they first appear they were basically bitcoin but not named "bitcoin". Nowadays, it gone beyond bitcoin. While bitcoin can not satisfy its existence, some "alt" coins created value and take further steps. Bitcoin should be the alt coin in crypto currency world.

Re: Can US Citizens Participate in ICOs???
by
multibit
on 28/11/2017, 00:16:58 UTC
Yes and no. Probably because of the restrictions of crypto currencies in the US. That is why a lot of ICOs do not let US citizens to participate in their ICOs. Unfair it is, but that's just how things work. Nothing we can do about that.
But there are also a lot that accepts US citizens but there really aren't a lot that I have seen. But anyways, i wish this changes soon because a lot of US citizens are really into crypto currencies. This would really be great for the crypto world.

China is making a great mistake in trying to regulate something that supposedly cannot be regulated. Trying to centralize something that is supposed to be decentralized. NEO will find ways to succeed outside of China and that will be attained by making the coin more flexible in markets outside of China.

How do you mean it cannot (shouldn't) be regulated?
Blockchain shouldn't be regulated. Volunteer Crypto projects (not taking funds from people to get started) shouldn't be and can't be regulated.
But ICOs? The companies doing ICOs, taking cryptocurrencies and converting them into local currency to get started? These are still companies operating in common market where all companies follow some regulation. Why would there be different rules for them?

Re: Investing in ICO, still promising?
by
multibit
on 27/11/2017, 23:37:50 UTC
I believe they are completely safe as long as you are not putting your money into fishy projects. The easy way to not get scammed us to start identifying the ways to know which ICO project is good and which is not legit one. We can always rely on the forum and different threads about the ICO project created by investors like us. The discussion gives really important information regarding it and slowly you can build a trust on the ICO. Then only go for ICO investment.

I think getting scammed can be minimized by putting money into those projects which are having good team members on it. Or at least those people who have already managed many ICO and launched it successfully. So yeah with proper study ICO are still good investment.

Re: Should I keep holding my NEO?
by
multibit
on 27/11/2017, 23:03:27 UTC
Having faith in only one coin is not the best thing you can do, what you want is holding several coins to make sure that if Dash doesn't work out for you that you'll have some sort of backup. The thing with putting all your eggs in one basket is that if the basket drops, then all your eggs are done for, which sucks. Dash might never make it, what will you do then? It's a good idea to be more diversified than you already are and buy maybe some "main" coins. You have many options including ETH which is performing quite well and will soon go through several updates to make the underlying protocol more powerful. You need to have a back-up for Dash and you should own way more coins than you already do.

Re: ICO Is Really A Good Investment or Not?
by
multibit
on 27/11/2017, 22:53:56 UTC
Based on the level of sophistication of the question I'm concerned that it might not be the best investment for you. It's like when people ask me if they should invest in stocks, and the type of returns that they should expect. You should really have an advanced learning of the subject, and at a minimum know the difference between utility token, security tokens, advantages of using blockchains over databases, etc. For the the last example you would then be able to differentiate when a blockchain is truly needed for a project, versus when a database would do just as well or better, but the blockchain component is used exclusively for the purpose of raising money.

Re: Ethereum at $1000 in Jan 2018?
by
multibit
on 27/11/2017, 22:32:34 UTC
I think people are looking for an alternative to Bitcoin, since it's price has skyrocketed recently. Since Bitcoin was the first to kick off the block chain area, Ethereum is the first in its category, concerning smart contracts and will push crypto to the next level. However the limiting factor (for the price to go up) is the infinite number of Ether that will be mined over time. Unlike Bitcoin Ether is not limited in its number.

I read that too. ICOs as they are currently structured are of serious concern to regulators. They are good for the insiders but extremely risky for the average investors, with no consumer protections. ICO is great as an alternative funding tool when done side by side with legitimate crowdfunding. However it is much more difficult and expensive. None the less, that is what I support and believe will lead to. Meanwhile, those who can or dare continue to exploit ICOs to rake in a boat-load of quick monies. I agree with you "Watch out!"

I just want to know the price of personal computer cloud in the market? what if it rises? if that happens, do you have a solution? to afford with the majority?
I think it is okay if the price of the personal cloud computer will increase as long as I feel satisfied with the service I get from it. Besides, most of the company increased their pricing because they made some development and improvement in their product so in that way I think it is okay if they will increase.

"Etherflow is a system of workers security of hours worked by employers and,

Unique idea, too many bad employers around the world, abusing workers rights, people working dangerous jobs with low security etc. Not sure how are you gonna change that...

No you can't go back in time and buy cheap coins. Stop living in the past and regretting opportunities you missed out on. We're here now and this market is still far from mature. Some time ago people considered 1800$  per bitcoin a lot. Now we're approaching 6000$ in just 6 months.
Look at the future and invest wisely.

Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future?
by
multibit
on 27/11/2017, 05:08:18 UTC
Altcoins that could provide solid development, innovation, and most of all, usability will most likely succeed over the long term. There are many prominent altcoins in the market, which you could buy right now with their own use cases. If you've been paying close attention to their price movements, they have been rising in value exponentially during the year, reducing Bitcoin's total market dominance.

Thus, if everything continues as is, altcoins would be widely used in the mainstream world for various applications, while Bitcoin will remain as a store of value.

The altcoins which prove to have better stability, technology, and usability, would likely remain on top and overcome other cryptocurrrencies on the markets. There is a fierce competition on which provides faster transactions, anonymity and user acceptance from around the world. Just my opinion.

Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?!
by

Bitcoin should be invest in top class coin which is running in the crypto market with strong market cap. I think you invested your bitcoin in very cheaper price coins which has no any existence in the market and cheaper coins are mostly used for pump and dump policy. some new people entered in the market and due to lack of knowledge of trading, people mostly stuck in the dead coin which have a huge quantity supply and not any demand of particular coins.
you can cover your 20% bitcoin by selling all altcoins and buy some solid coins for long time and you will recover all loss of bitcoin.

Re: Mining coins save or sell it?

Although the question was asked in last year, I think this question has perpetual succession. I am complete noob in mining but still I manage to acquire bitcoins from my domain reselling business and I recently ended up with conclusion that holding coins in offline wallet is the best and best method of investment. I would advise you to either hold your coins or invest it in safe investment options but don’t sell unless you in the need of fiat critically.
