Re: What would you do with a million dollars worth of customer data?

Whatever the outcome, you will probably be fucking people over. If you're alright with that, continue.

Obviously, there is a high probability that you will be caught and prosecuted, as many people have already pointed out. If you're alright with that, continue.

If you're not sure what to do with the data, the easiest route would be to find a buyer who does. It's up to you whether you want to know what they plan to do with it, though your liability might make you just a bit curious. There are definitely ways to reduce your risk and distance yourself from any nefarious activities (though you have already perpetrated a grave one by stealing the data itself).

I personally don't know enough to direct you in any way, but there are certainly people here that could.

I'm all for utilizing resources given to you, but I would think about asking a systems administrator or other such person before jumping into this endeavor.

I agree that it's nice to fly under the radar. But if you don't feel comfortable talking with them about it, i.e. if you are unsure whether they will be cool with it, keep in mind that they will probably find out and, regardless of your interpretation of the usage agreement, probably have the right to get upset.

And if they are cool with it (or they want to take a cut, hehe), they may be able to provide you with useful information or assist you in some way.

But if you don't want to tell them, I still say go for it anyway! Smiley

This is really fascinating! I personally believe that computational approaches offer solutions to almost all circumstances, including yours.

I never knew this market existed -- if I understand you properly, you purchase the right to enforce owed payments? Out of curiosity, what makes a debtee approach you to handle a case against a debtor instead of going though the court system themselves?

Also, welcome!

You can keep your client open! This allows it to synchronize continuously so you won't have to wait.

Also, it ensures that Bitcoins remain on your mind at all times Smiley

If you have access to IRC, you can log on to irc.freenode.net and /join #bitcoin-otc.

There are lots of friendly people there willing to help you and many accept moneypak, paypal, cash in the mail (a bit odd, I must admit), etc.

There are lots of ways, according to your needs and you can rest assured you are working with legitimate community members since they have a lovely rating system.
