Re: How many Bitcoins do the active bitcointalk forum members typically have?

I'd say the same that it's hard to answer the questions since each forum member have their own situation especially in financial situation where a certain person have more than 1 btc or even exactly 1 btc and even some may have fraction of btc. In other words, it depends on the forum member on how much btc they have either it's in fraction or not. You can also say that other forum members got btc from services, signature only without spending their own money.

Re: Why are you taking profit on bitcoin?

You are right  how we use cryptocurrency has changed much. Even though it started as way to send digital money without banks people now mostly use it to invest or store money because they see its value grow and its outside normal banking systems. Someone can sell their crypto in tough situation for emergencies which is showing that it is both risky investment and something that can be quickly turned into cash if needed. This makes crypto important part of managing money today even with its ups and downs.
The value of cryptocurreny changes because of its volatility therefore if there are some changes in the market then the price would surely changes so if prices changes then there will a lot of people who will take the opportunity to earn more money that's why people use crypto for different purposes such as for storing or profit as an example. Anyway, even if the purpose of bitcoin isn't used all the time but there are some people who really used it for its intended uses.

I'd try it out.

If the offer is too good to be true, it probably is. Of course that doesn't mean you'll end up with mental or physical damage. Just try it out and if you hate it, you'll get your monthly salary and leave.

If the job ends up being bearable, keep investing the money they give you into bitcoin. Learn to do something in this space. Remember that this job we're considering here is yours if you want it, but your dream bitcoin job might be months if not years away. Work towards it while you earn money elsewhere.
This is what I would do which is to see how it goes. As how OP explained it, it feels like a training for the position once they think OP is suited for the position. In my opinion, this is kinda the same in cryptocurreny where you will see a new crypto and will see later on if it's successful project or not at all just like in the job OP mentioned where the job offered is true or good as they have claimed it to be. It's still up to him if he accepted the job or not and if he did then he has the money to invest in bitcoin.

Re: When you're winning you can't sleep

Well, that may be happening if a person won huge amount but if it's not a high or decent amount then that won't really happen. In my!own experience, when I won a decent amount is that I did sleep well and the complete opposite of what you have seen in the interview. To be honest, we all have different feelings in what we experience like winning in gambling or other stuff. If a person gets overexcited then that may happen right after winning and couldn't sleep once it's time to sleep especially the one who becomes a gambling addict.

Re: Be careful with nostalgia
by

Most people experienced this with Mike Tyson I believe. I mean Mike is an old guy, out if the blue he decided to fight that young boxer, Jake Paul. Jake is well built, young and trained. Mike is a legend but old and no matter how much training he does, he won’t get any younger.

Some people made a bet on Mike’s victory. The nostalgia fooled them into thinking Mike could win. Didn’t happen.
What if it's a staged one? To be honest, I thought Mike Tyson was winning that fight but then the reality hit me harder.

It is better to avoid such bets, there's highly that the what will be the outcome of those match can be manipulated in a way that someone wants because it's all money not really the pride of sports at that point so avoid betting on special matches unless the competitors are equal in terms of age, level of their game, etc.
The outcome will be different if it's a staged one which the bet they made is because of nostalgia. Well, getting old means that you are not in your prime even if you have some good record or a legend in a sport although it may be different like what Jawhead999 explained where the person is not motivated and the first priority is to make money. I guess that's the reason why pros retired since they are no longer the same as before which their goal is to become the best at what they do.

I also have rules of my own when I was gambling which is I stop when I have more than the money that I have deposited and also when I observed that I have a streak lose which can mean that I am unlucky during that time. I also ended up the losing all the budget I have when I am gambling not because I want to recover the loses because I clearly know that I cannot recover the funds without risk. You could say that it is a combination of what you made on your list which is A, B and C. That stop because I managed to stop gambling with the help of my family.

Re: Why some countries gamble more than the others?
by

on 24/07/2025, 20:20:03 UTC
It is clearly the support from the government that makes people gamble more. Anyway, it's not always the rich that are gambling because I know that there are some people who aren't rich but still wants to gamble for a chance to wim huge amount of money or even decent amount that will be more than the amount of money they have. If you try to do some research about a country with a very strict regulations about gambling then you might know that therr won't be a lot of people gambling. In my country, gambling is a way to relax or a leisure time for the old people and for younger people is to have more money mostly even if it's not 100 percent guaranteed.

Re: What is been professional like to you?
by

on 24/07/2025, 19:16:17 UTC
For me in my own word, a professional gamblers should have a good making decisions. It's not easy to win in gambling as the outcome of each situation isn't something that a person can accurately predict the results. A professional gambler can find a way to earn money even if it's not direct. A person cannot become a pro if he/she doesn't have self control as it will always result in more losses when you can earn money to recover what you have lose. It is kinda the same in jobs where you put an effort to get promoted. A person that isn't responsible won't become a pro and it can even go self destruction. I am sure you know that soke gamblers ended up stealing.

Re: Why are you taking profit on bitcoin?

At the end of the day, cryptocurrency investments are called "investments" for a reason- you cash out whenever you feel the need to use it.

The purpose of investments are to receive returns in a given period. Additionally, you can also consider them as storing money that could either increase or decrease in value depending on the market fluctuation of its price. But you should always treat your investments as stored cash whenever an emergency arises financially.

I mean, what's the point of still keeping your investments stored when you are experiencing financial and economic crisis at your end? That is the reason on why some people invest short-term in BTCs and take advantage of its volatility in the market.
Financial management is really important for everyone. Well, cryptocurreny isn't made for that purpose in the first place like for investment or storing money and yet, because of the people who use it that resulted for cryptocurreny as a means of investment for earning money or for storing money. As for the crisis situation, it really depends on the person either it's really important that they have no choice but to cash out their cryptocurreny for emergency and such.

Sure everyone as the right to used there money the way the like, you can't stop that. People invested in bitcoin because of making profit not to continue holding without benefiting from the investment. Anyone have is on choice on what to used there profit for, some invest in Katherine assets and some used the money for luxuries things. Everyone have the freedom to spend anything they have because is there property and you can't control that. Bitcoin is not a small investment and when you achieve your goals definitely you need to make your self happy to buy things that will make you feel good.
It is true that we cannot stop people from doing what they want to do with their money because it is not your money to spend with although some people do make use of their money to the price of bitcoin even though it won't last for long but during that time some people may change their decision on what they want to do before or in short spreading FUD so that they can earn profit. Well anyway, it is also the same for them where they can't stop us from doing what we want with our own money.

Re: How can you enjoy the game when you are losing?
by
nakamura12
on 23/07/2025, 19:52:45 UTC
For me, enjoying the game is all about not thinking about the losses as it coud make you feel not very good. All you need to do is enjoying the game that you are playing. If I am losing then I just continue what I am doing since there's nothing I can do if I am lucky and yet wanted to enjoy the game even if I am losing. If you are gambling just to earn more money and make it as your source of income then that's a bad choice to make since gambling should not be the source of income.

Re: tell me a slots game that you had most wins.

My biggest winnings before I stop is about 270 dollars on a local casino and the game is Super Ace. I already stop gambling so I only join discussions about gambling. I don't focus on winnings all the time and also not focus on the losses as I know that it is much more than the amount that I won during that time. Not all gamblers become rich or won decent amount since it is always depends on our luck if ever we are lucky or not at all. Well, it may be different for others but what I explained is on my own point of view.

You can request to ban the user but the chances of the user being banned is very low. If you can read the forum rules then you will see that people who are scamming other people won't get banned but rather getting negative trust or red tag for every one can see if ever someone came across with the said account. It is always the case where if someone is proven to be scammer or a scam attempt that is surely the goal then you will see that it is always given a red tag or negative trust.

Re: Bitcoin mining using an Android phone
by

on 23/07/2025, 16:50:38 UTC
Most of the mobile mining app are scam and you can hardly find a real one. If you really want to mind then it's better to choose computer to mine or even better spend money to buy mining gear although you will have to spend money to setup a mining rig. It might not be good for some people in a country where electricity isn't cheap so, if you don't want to spend so much money then you should try different ways to earn cryptocurreny. For mobile mining app is that you should stay away from it.

Re: Before You Think of Giving Up on Crypto, Read This
by
nakamura12
on 21/07/2025, 17:26:56 UTC

Alot of beginners actually learn the hard way not because they are just unfortunate, but because they rushed to invest, only to start learning properly from their own experiences. Learning from one's experience can be very risky; many mistakes will me made, most newbies will not have that patience and resilience to continue further.

Investing in Bitcoin is a journey; to avoid missing your way, it is expected that you come prepared. New comers into the crypto community should learn the basics first before investing. It's not just about the basics, learning some security tips is very important to avoid unauthorised access to their wallets.
Rush decision is what makes newbies learned the hard way instead of doing it at a pace that they can fully understand and utilize the things that they have learn throughout the time that they start learning about cryptocurreny. If a person didn't do that is that they will experience losses a d regrets like I should have created more than 1 backup of my wallet and I wouldn't have lose my funds and make a profit, I should have make my security increase then my wallet won't have get compromised by a hacker. So as you have said, basics is a must.

Re: 21 million BTC, is it enough?
by
nakamura12
on 21/07/2025, 15:26:14 UTC
Yes, I also think it's enough because even if it's not yet the entire bitcoin in circulation and yet there are lots of money using bitcoin so I'd say it is enough. Being a holder of bitcoin didn't even have to be at least 1 bitcoin because you can even see some people discussing theg they don't have 1 bitcoin but they do have some bitcoin which I can say they they prefer not to disclose the exact amount for privacy concerns. If bitcoin can be made to increase the total supply then it can crash or decrease its price or lose its value.

Re: Yet Another Scam Attempt, Impersonating Users on Telegram

It's not just like this because I have read a thread that there's someone pretending to be the campaign manager and then was able to start an event, promo or something like that (not sure if it really succeeded). One thing I am sure why many people still using the app is because it is easy to use compared to using email which you have to open the email before knowing that you have received an email from someone or someone is reaching you out.

A possible solution to it is you have different portions of your money like this portion is for investment and the others are also for different purposes like to spend on something, emergency funds, daily necessities funds and more. In order to do that is to have a good fund management, patience and discipline to do it. We know that it's not easy to do it especially if you don't have discipline as it could result to spend your money to unnecessary things that you shouldn't have done.

Re: How to delete my bitcointalk account?
by
nakamura12
on 21/07/2025, 04:32:48 UTC
Why would you want to delete your account? Is it because of the red tag you got as DYING_S0UL suggested?
Well, unfortunately, it is not possible to delete your account on this forum.
But since this is a bewbie account without any activity, you can simply abandon it.
All you have to do is to link it to a fake email address and changeyour passwird to something random that you can never remember.
This way, there will be no way for you to recover your account.
Before doing the above , make sure to delete all your posts.
This is what I will tell to those who wants to delete their accounts but we know that it is not possible to do so, I said to create a random password and change the email to fake email so that it cannot be recovered. Second thing to do is abandon the account. I was also thinking that OP would want to delete the account because of what happened but it seems it has been resolved since I didn't see any red tag anymore to OP's account and only the neutral tag.

Re: Why are you taking profit on bitcoin?
by
nakamura12
on 20/07/2025, 20:29:04 UTC
The reason should be mostly for profit even for those who are not rich in order to have more money than the people have. It's not like everyday you can earn money and everyday that you will receive income from work so it's better to have another way to earn money like investing in bitcoin. Also, it's up to a person on what they want with their money like they want to risk it ror profit from bitcoin or not at all. This thread of yours kinda like you are stopping people from getting profit when it seems fit for them to get profit.
