Canada is super crypto-friendly, the gov even published a guide for Canadians on how to safely purchase crypto. I can;t find the damn link, but I am certain I saw the post or /r/cryptocurrency. Mining is also pretty popular there due to relatively low electricity fees and the cold climate.

All these things incentivise the average Canadian to look up Bitcoin out of sheer curiosity. The fact that the media and the gov are not against crypto means that a person doesn't have any reasons to be hesitant regarding cryptocurrencies. And so it begins...

Most projects decide to burn, but some choose to lock the unsold tokens for a definite period time in order to have another sale or lock them for other various reasons.

I personally don't feel comfortable with the latter, I'd rather see them gone. You never know what it could happen with those "Reserve" tokens, especially that ICOs are so damn shady nowadays.

Airdrops? Nah, ruins the price and the project doesnt benefit of anything, don't even think about that. Just burn 'n go.

Why does this world need decentralization so much?

There are many plausible answers, but I will mostly focus on corruption in this small post. A centralized authority may make biased decisions in its own interest (or other's interest). We may take the example of the recent Facebook scandal: the company (the centralized authority) allowed personal data to be used in other people's interest. This does not happen only with companies, but also with governments - I believe each one can give an example from his/her country of recurring corruption acts.

Planting more trees isn't the right solution. We should cut CO2 emissions, thing that is not so easy to implement when you have superpowers (like USA) who oppose such changes...
