Re: CoinTracking - Profit/Loss Portfolio and Tax Reporting for Digital Currencies
by

Hello, i'm using coin-tracking to simply understand how much profit am i at given my buys/sells/trades. One thing i am confused about is "Current Balance" on the dashboard. It is showing the total number of coins i've ever purchased and doesn't seem to reflect the total coins i am holding right now (i.e. somehow not reflecting sells). Is this expected?

I am having the same problem.

I've been having this issue but only on some coins started yesterday with STA deleted and reentered the last trade and it went away but now zrc is doing the same and deleting and re-entering the trade does nothing, weird thing is they show on the dashboard list but when i look at balance by exchange i have no ZRC listed anywhere Huh

Having the same problem.

I have all of my transactions split out into seperate spreadsheets per exchange. I've spent many hours getting these balanced out to zero.

If I delete all transactions from CoinTracking then import one of these sheets everything looks fine initially.

"Current Balance" on the dashboard, the "Current Balance" report, the "Balance by Exchange" report, and the summary at the bottom right of "Overview and Manual import" are all 0.00 as expected.

But as soon as I click "recalculate trades" everything goes haywire and starts telling me I have balances that I do not.

I wasn't having this problem last time I worked on this a week or so ago.

Manually adding a tiny transaction per coin seems to fix it but this isn't a solution.

Very frustrating!

I am still worried that there will be a significant dip once it hits cryptopia, due to people taking advantage of ATH and a useful exchange to sell their coins.

One of the biggest differences between COLX and PIVX is the economic model.

With PIVX you have about 40% of the total supply locked in masternodes.

PIVX see saw rewards tends to keep the masternode count consistantly at around 2,000 - 2,200 masternodes running at any one time.

But with COLX the collateral required to run a node is way higher than PIVX.

If 40% of the COLX supply was locked to nodes there would be around 420 nodes.

So COLX masternode ROI is pretty damn good.

All the masternode holders are looking a their daily passive income going through the roof and are highly incentivised just to sit back and enjoy.

There is about 160 COLX masternodes active now. The bull fight for the other few hundred is just starting.

COLX masternode requirements need to be revisited to correct two significant issues:

1) At 10 sats a COLX masternode now costs 1 BTC, this puts a COLX masternode out of reach for most
2) If ALL 10 billion COLX was used for masternodes there would only be 1,000 masternodes in total

If the masternode requirement was changed to 1 million we'd have a much better scenario:
Circulating supply after swap  =  10,000,000,000
Masternode requirement = 1,000,000
Maximum potential masternodes = 10,000
Estimated masternode count (40% of total supply) = 4,000

Or 2 million:
Circulating supply after swap  =  10,000,000,000
Masternode requirement = 2,000,000
Maximum potential masternodes = 5,000
Estimated masternode count (40% of total supply) = 2,000

Masternodes need to be affordable in the medium term for the COLX network to grow and decentralize.

Thanks guys yes their are 12 hours remaining for the ico price. Price then goes up 10000%

If you're going to persist with your scamming can you at least keep the math consistent?

*Important update!!!
TODAYBroncoins = 0.0001 BTC
TOMORROW Broncoins = 1.0 BTC

Keep in mind that in 48 hours broncoins will be 1000% more and will never be at ICO price again!!!

For 0.0001 to become 1.0 you need to multiply by 1,000,000%.

You can't seem to decide whether it is 1,000% or 10,000%?

Which is weird considering you are really offering 1,000,000%?

I guess 1,000,000% would sound too good to be true and might put people off.

What an amazing coincidence!

Queensland Australia (https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Peregian+Springs+QLD+4573) – Yep
Needs a system that can trade cryptos to guarantee 5% profit in around 4 hours – Yep
Owner has all of the “other” non BTC coins – Yep

Quoting https://www.freelancer.com/projects/research-writing/math-financial-trading-problem/

I wish to create a system using new cryptocurrecies and bitcoin. I have 3 currencies lets call them a, b and c. We buy and sell each currency with bitcoin. I want to create a system where each currency is worth the same for example a,b,c are all worth 1 bitcoin, but they vary each hour for buy/sell opportunites say hour 1: a=1.05 b=1 c=.95 i need to know how it would work in a cycle of say 4-6 hours that repeats over and over again where everyone who trades can win and the owners of the coin wont lose. Keep in mind that the owner of the coin will have 1 billion of each coin and they are all worth around the price of bitcoin or $5000 each so running out is a long way away. Keep in mind that to participate a user must have bitcoin to buy from each currency and to take profits and cash out he must sell his currencies and transfer them back to bitcoin. Thanks

This is your incredible algorithm for generating infinite profits!?

As expected, complete nonsense.

I am merely pointing out that their are legitimate companies that offer huge returns if you invested in them. Bitcoin is the best example of this. Our model is different to any other. We have explained our 5% return trading platform. These are real time trades and anyone with a brain can comprehend it. I am a forex trader and have been for years. I have written many EA's where we try to spot these juicy trading opportunities. With a cryptocurrency where I can manipulate the price to go higher and lower than the currency pair it is traded with...it is win/win!!!! Simple!!!

This is automated like an EA and with our instant cross chain technology it works!!!

Complete nonsense.

If this was mathematically possible you'd be already on your yacht, not scamming greedy fools on bitcointalk.

The wallet has really an issue... I receive stake last time but I haven't seen the staking arrow showing green color, it just always says staking not active, multi-send not active

This is because none of your coins have a minimum stake age of 7 days. As soons as they reach 7 days old staking will turn green and you will get stakes until you run out of "old" coins again.

As soon as you run out of "old" coins you will loose staking status and the process begins again.

I have to say that the minimum 7 day age thing was a pretty bad decision by the devs, it has caused major confusion and problems.

So then bitcoin is a scam ether is a scam apple is a scam...

Bitcion, Ether, Apple and most alt coins do not offer guaranteed profits with no risk.

You offer guaranteed 5% profit per trade “100% risk free”.

You are at best a liar and at worst a thief.

Here's something from your own country:

What a scammer will say to get you to invest

The scammer will offer you:

  • High, quick returns and sometimes tax-free benefits - CHECK
  • Share, mortgage or real estate investments, 'high return' schemes, option trading or foreign currency trading - CHECK
  • No risk or low risk investment, as you can sell anytime, get a refund for non-performance, have insured or 'guaranteed' transactions or swap one investment for another - CHECK
  • Inside information, the opportunity to invest before a public float or discounts for early bird investors - CHECK

In all honesty with the technology we created I could have created a max supply of 100000000 and transferred as much as I want to bitcoin instantly. The truth of the matter is that it would kill cryptocurrency is general.

What a steaming pile of horseshit

Can we get POS reward when we just leave a wallet open with coins and not run a masternode?

Yes

Note that there is a minimum of seven days between the time you move the coins to your wallet and you receiving a stake.

Once coins have received a stake another seven day wait applies.

You can split your coins into multiple inputs to increase the potential to stake.

Interesting i just received 947 coins says" minted" but it keep says stacking not Active?

Yep, that's been happening to me.

Having identical problem

getstakingstatus

{
    "validtime" : true,
    "haveconnections" : true,
    "walletunlocked" : true,
    "mintablecoins" : false,
    "enoughcoins" : true,
    "mnsync" : true,
    "staking status" : false
}

My coins have staked twice instantly after restarting the wallet then after 91 confirms mintablecoins remains false.

Have only been able to stake twice due to mintablecoins getting stuck on "false". Restarting wallet again many times has not worked again.

If by the 'small inactive component of the community' you mean the people that haven't swapped yet... so far that turns out the be a big majority, not a minority.

Nope, only referring to those who fail to swap within the three months the swap will be running for.

There was some rough analysis on this earlier:

... its highly anticipated a huge portion of the supply will be burned by nova as there was only 7.2b active coins including the CV2 dev fund = 3.6b COLX.  That being said theres still a chance someone will see this thread and be like OH WAIT I HAVE THAT WALLET DATA!

However through the block explorer that was the rough estimate where coins had been moved or had staked in the last 6 months --- Some of which are now gone forever i.e. cryptopia, soon to be yobit.

Side note given that 3b coins have swapped currently -- And given that there is 180m COLX on the order books, as well as 600m CV2 left on the order books -- The swap may be significantly smaller.

According to Nova there has been 8.04 billion CV2 swapped for 4.02 billion COLX... maybe Mrbates could revisit his analysis now the swap is underway.

People holding CV2 are still part of our community. It's the same coin, just an older implementation of it, and that's not their fault.
People should not be forced to check up on their coins every 3 months to prevent those coins from being destroyed. They paid real money for their CV2, and at 4 sats, that's still about 1.2 million dollars we're talking about.

The way we deal with CV2 will be an example for how we deal with COLX in the future. Destroying CV2 will also destroy trust in COLX, and dealing with CV2 it in a decent matter will also make COLX a trustworthy and valuable coin.

I don't want you to open your COLX wallet two years from now, expecting lots and lots of value, only to find out that your coins were replaced by some new "COLX2" coin and your value distributed amongst other people. I'm sure you would be pretty upset and angry if that happend. So let's not do that now either.

I hear you but it is a two way street.

Holders have at least half of the burden of keeping up to speed with their portfolios. This includes planning for situations where they may not be able to take action themselves.

The risks that come with having a huge pile of COLX sitting around waiting for a small inactive component of the community to get their acts together is significant.

The crypto community will not trust COLX until the leftovers from the swap are proven burnt, we've already seen FUD from this starting earlier in the thread.

Burning that many coins would be nice for COLX price development but personally I think we shouldn't be stealing funds from our own community at all. OR we should vote about it (and only burn a percentage accordingly).

From page 1:
Unswapped coins: Once the swap is completed in 3 months all excess ColossusCoinXT unclaimed coins will be destroyed by Nova Exchange(*)
and no more CV2 Coins will be accepted.
*: Reserve 5% for initial funding of services and to get added to Bigger Exchanges (such as Bittrex.com).
For that purpose we will be selling COLX Masternodes to larger Investors.

So the current plan is to burn 95% of the unswapped coins at the end of the swap period.

If 3.6 billion COLX are distributed then 8.4 billion would remain.

5% of 8.4 billion is 420 million, or 42 masternodes worth with the current requirements.

Deflating the COLX economy is NOT stealing funds from the community, its quite the opposite!

It is also an AMAZING marketing opportunity.

Agree that whatever happens need to be decided by the community. Fortunately COLX has consensus tools we can lever out of the box.

Some thoughts on COLX masternodes?

Note that the assumption that the swap will end with a total supply of 3,600,000,000 COLX is a guesstimate, it could end up being way different.

PIVX:
  • Circulating supply  =  54,413,888
  • Masternode requirement = 10,000
  • Maximum potential masternodes = 5,441
  • Current masternode count = 2200 (approx 40% of total supply)

COLX:
  • Circulating supply after swap  =  3,600,000,000
  • Masternode requirement = 10,000,000
  • Maximum potential masternodes = 360
  • Current masternode count = 20 (approx.)

If 40% of COLX gets locked up in masternodes the same as PIVX we're looking at only 145 masternodes which would give COLX a weak centralised network compared to PIVX.

However, if the masternode requirement was changed to 750,000 we'd have a scenario much closer to PIVX's current state:
  • Circulating supply after swap  =  3,600,000,000
  • Masternode requirement = 750,000
  • Maximum potential masternodes = 4,800
  • Estimated masternode count (40% of total supply) = 1,940

Masternodes need to be affordable in the medium term for COLX to be successful.

Obviously we're months away from the end of the swap but discussion on fundamental change like this should start sooner rather than later.

Is there going to be a burning of extra coins? I wonder what the max supply with be?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the guesstimate for the total amount of COLX that will be swapped is 3.6 billion.

There was 12 billion in the premine to cover the maximum possible amount that could potentially be swapped.

So we could be looking at a 70% burn of the premine...!
