Re: Is there any app with notification when there's a transaction?
by

The title maybe it's not describing the best what I'm looking for so let me explain.
I'm using the Sentinel by Samourai Wallet for a watch only addresses. It's a perfect address watcher except they don't have a notification option if there are any incoming/outgoing transactions.

Is there any app where you can set up a notification when you receive/send funds?

This can be a very useful tool to watch over your bitcoin. If someone steal your coins and you get a notification, it's already too late but still you know that something is wrong and can prevent the hacker to make more damage.

Bluewallet has notifications and watch-only wallets as well

Re: Why do most SPV / mobile wallets not allow you to change your SPV server
by

SPV = getting block headers from the network
light wallets = connect to a server

what you want is a wallet with a full node connection to your electrum server, try bluewallet

The only bitcoin wallet on this list is electrum. Don't use these wallets with your Bitcoin. Choose Bitcoin only wallets that provide way more flexibility, features, interoperability and security that wallets with altcoins support.

Don't be funny. There is no only a wallet for Bitcoin.
We can discuss which wallet safe or not. But there are a lot of different wallets for BTC.
Even Bitcoin's official website has a list of Bitcoin's wallets. You can see from here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet?step=5

I said a Bitcoin Only wallet. Something that doesn't deal with shitcoins...

Changing password and removing encryption UI will be available soon, there's an open PR for that already.

Password option allows to encrypt the app. Biometrics doesn't encrypt the app, because biometrics are not a secure option, it is just used as a light secure layer to identify yourself.

Hi there,

I'm Nuno from bluewallet, this feedback is really great and unexpected, glad to see the wallet is useful. Happy to answer any questions or doubts.

v4.2.0 just hit the app stores, now with the ability to connect yo your own full node, I think it is the first iOS wallet that allows that?! At least one of the few.

Re: Android wallets

I haven't been looking into Android wallets until now because I bought a new phone. I'm not willing to go with Jaxx, Coinomi and these multi-coin wallets that are closed source. Any thoughts?

I was thinking about Mycelium but I'm not sure whether It's still a good option or not yet. I have heard about them going to implement SegWit and I don't know if that's done yet or not. I also know they used to have problems on the estimation of the fees etc.

I know about Samourai as well, and I don't like the UI to be honest and I also read somewhere that they made a bold move by basically remove the fiat price of BTC in the app which leaves the user clueless and could lead to mistakes.

We are developing bluewallet, if you want to give it a try.

Hi there,

I'm Nuno from Blue Wallet. We are looking for beta testers to have early access to our app and help us on the release process. Mainly testing and giving feedback.

Let us know if you want to help us out. PM or reply here.

PS: This is a serious project in production with users. We are here to have a conversation (any feedback is welcome) and to listen to the community to develop a kick-ass wallet. It's open source and you can run it on your own. Not a scam!

Super thank you!
