For anyone curious, you can turn these A4+'s into A6s. The control board has enough ports for 8 hashboards and 4 fans. I changed over 30 A4s so I only have to monitor 15 ASICs now. Way better. The inno support guy gave me an older firmware that supports it, the latest only ran 6 boards total. He said there should be a new firmware today or tomorrow that supports all 8 again.
Thanks, update_180129 appears to have no issues running all 8 chains.
Just made the exact same change to 10 miners today. Appears to work just great! Along with halving the work upkeeping them, the best benefit (IMHO) is having spare controller boards now.
I use separate PSUs for each tube, and this has no negative impact either.
FYI, I did the 0129 upgrade on 10 A4+ today and it seemed to all go smoothly. I did notice that one of my boxes was running 471 hash rate so I took a look and found that the ASC2 card was missing from the miner status/minerinfo section. I made sure all the cables, power and data ribbon were all secured and the LED shows the board is getting power. I upgraded the firmware (0129) twice again to no avail. So I'm wondering what I should try next. I cannot say with certainy if this was caused by the firmware...I have a feeling not because the 24 hashrate shows as 465 on the monitoring page (i didn't bother to look before i guess).
Any ideas on what to do next?

Bump the Frequency to 1152Mhz and Lower VID (which raises the voltage) on the Miner General Configuration page. There are instructions on that Miner General Configuration too. Read those for sure.
Try frequency 1152MHz and then try adjusting VID between 22-14. Should get faster as you approach 14, probably will get the best rate when VID is somewhere below 20. I still haven't explored what's optimal for my machines. Waiting for the warranty to expire before I mess with overclocking but I overclocked my own A4 Dominators and it worked the same way.

Auf Kursgewinn und Spekulation kann ich überall gehen - hierfür muss ich mich nicht im Mining versuchen.
Wenn "jeder seine Geräte ausrackt" sinkt die Difficulty, die Preise am Zweitmarkt gehen in den Keller und die Rechnung sieht ganz anders aus
DANN würde ich richtig groß einsteigen!
Nein nein. "JEDER" der unwirtschaftlich sein Hosting hat.
Somit JEDER der seine Miner in NL stehen hat.
Die anderen 90% bleiben in der Welt aktiv und die Diff. wird nicht fallen durch die paar Miner.
JEDER der somit so deppert war seine Miner unwirtschaftlich aufzustellen, der wird Probleme haben.
Somit JEDER der bereits ohne Plan an die Sache gegangen ist, der sich nun noch tiefer reinwurschtelt.
Na - wie rechnet es sich jetzt unter EUR 9000,- Kurs?
Die Diff. fällt nicht. Mit 5cent (USD) kwh (inkl. Platz und Klima) - da lachen die Miner der Welt.
Rein vom Mining ist die Grenze aktuell USD 4.000 / BTC - dann wird es langsam auch für die 90% der Hashrate knapper und die ersten bröckeln weg.
Reine Mathematik.
Nur gehe ich nicht von viel mehr Kursverlust aus und dies gehört nun in einen anderen Thread. Die übliche Januarflaute, gepaart mit der Blase der Investitions-Lemminge aus dem 4. Quartal und mit den News aus China, die jedoch nur eine Ankündigung waren und eher politisch motiviert den Kurs perfekt beeinflußt hat. Wie auch immer, die Kurskorrektur lag in der Luft und ob und in welchem Umfang es wieder nach Oben geht. Wir werden sehen.
Auch beim Mining haben hier einige, und dies ist löblich, investieren wollen.
Ich erachte Mining auch als die faire Lösung sich an einer Crypto zu beteiligen die mit einer fairen Entlohnung stattfindet.
Dennoch gibt es diverse Regeln, die man beachten sollte.
Mit einem vernünftigen Preis könnt Ihr am Ende "JAHRE" länger das Mining mit gleicher Hardware betreiben.
Rechnerisch darf man nicht den ROI von USD 2.000 bei USD 2.000 ansetzen (obwohl alle laufenden Kosten beglichen sind!).
Vielmehr muss man zum Tag des Kaufs von Hardware USD 2.000 (Bitcoin 0.2) festhalten.
Erreicht man nun den Gegenwert USD 2.000 (Bitcoin 0.1) nach 4 Monaten, somit hat man erst 50% ROI erreicht.
Denn zum Kauf der Hardware hätte ich 0.2 BTC kaufen können.
Umgekehrt gilt es ebenfalls - je nach Kursentwicklung.
Kaufe ich für 0.2 BTC einen Miner (USD 2.000) und nach 4 Monaten habe ich wieder 0.2 BTC, jedoch diese sind nur noch USD 1.000 wert habe ich erneut den ROI nur um 50% erreicht.
Wie gesagt: Mining muss man ohne Kursgewinne verstehen; diese dennoch stark berücksichtigen und einplanen. Jedoch müssen auch Kursverluste und Stagnation eingeplant sein. Wer nach NL geht hat immer noch nichts verstanden und führt den gleichen Fehler fort.
