Oh my god after the fall down of etherum from 1400 $ to 200 $ what do u think of the soon futur of etherum?! .. my opinion is etherum will get to the top again it's normal when it's so down with every other coin or bitcoin.. can i use patience as a smart solution to get rich with 4 ether now !

thats a dream for now,,
but, i believe soon or later eth price will be more than 1k USD
if you have 4 ethereum i think its better to trade your eth with eth based pairs
so, you can get profit in ethereum my friend and your ethereum amount will increase  Wink

I totally agree, though I will be dollar averaging very very slowly with Eth

I am sure that 1000 dollars is not the limit for the development and appreciation of Ethereum. I think this is quite normal Ethereum value. Last time, the price increase has already confirmed such prospects for Ethereum, so now is a great time for a profitable hold.
maybe in future ethereum price could break the highest price ever and make new high.especially when CBOE launched ethereum futures trade , i am sure it could make eth price go to moon.

you can say that. Look at what happned to BTC futures... after the hype, 90% market retracement.

This has got to end somehow, and despite not the most most loved opinion, only regulation can save us.

That, and the surviving privacy-centric decentralised coins. These will self regulate by adoption. But every ICO should have real faces in their teams and governments should hammer down on them

That is why we need regulation. Having said this, I am 100% for decentralised censorship free fault tolerant distributed technology. But not every us-case is the same. ICO's could be a totally legit means for crowdfunding, the problem is, if no one ever goes to jail, then ICO will the riddled with scams left and right, or just plain crap project with zero liability.

Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand

Cryptos are as much complicated as emailing. When you email, do you worry about POP3 SMTP IMAP protocols? Or do you  just loging, write, and send? Same thing with cryptos. They need to become an abstraction layer for user for it to be adopted

Loss of control. But they are slowly extending their tentacles, and will definitely be able to get a grip. Luckily, decentralisation will not be deterred, but there must equally be an uprising of use in the real world. Otherwise, only FIAT-cryptos will prevail.

Re: Do You Waste Your Life On The Internet?
by
nikeel
on 15/09/2018, 18:52:53 UTC
I spend inordinate amounts of time on the internet, and my profession fortunately requires it. I say fortunately, because now I dont need to leave to an office and spend most of my day surrounded with strangers and forced-relationships. But in practical terms not much different to spending inordinate amounts of time in front of Word writing a book, or in a call center looking at a screen.

The real question for me was what the heck I was doing with that time. Thankfully, I managed to get away from facebook and other social media, that sucked my life into an imaginary senseless waste of time. So if anything, just measure what benefits there are in what your doing. If it makes you grow just keep at it. If it stagnates you, cut it off as fast as possible

Re: What are some stable altcoins ?
by

The altcoins are largely pegged to bitcoin in terms of pricing. Not sure what you mean by stable here, I would suggest BTC and ETH , they are relatively stable coins. But otherwise there is nothing really stable as such in the crypto world.

Na, stablecoin is a tethered coin. It has to be tied to an asset.

I would like to ask, what does this project bring to the table that is new, innovative, and not just a simple copy/clone of the gzillion other MN's coins out there? Why is this not just another scheme to sell MN's and that's it ?

Re: Dedication needed to support crypto community?

That is the wrong way to do it. For crypto adoption, the majority of mainstream dont even have to know what blockchain is, or crypto. Until that happens, we will always be an insider club going round in circles with our ideas and great speeches about the future.

We crypto community must work hard to create real life use-cases, and put them into action into the wild for society to interact with. We have barely scratched the surface of that

The real question here is not what are the stable coins around and (apparently) performing well... the question is who is behind the custody of the collateral of such stablecoin, and the audits one can perform to ascertain if they are indeed liquid

I relate very much to that story. I too have lost a considerable amount, but that is not bitcoin's fault. The tech is astounding and will change the world forever, hopefully for the better. Anyway, If Iw ere you, I would buy back a good chunk, and just lock it away in a safe, and forget about them at least a decade or two. You will surely see you lost value back.

I would also argue your personality has a lot to do with it. Some people simply cannot not trade intra-week, some maybe day trading a bit a day is the way to go. I'm a terrible trader, because I start to itch when I see price action, and even trying my best to just go by fundamentals and TA, I often see myself trigger happy. I was not made staring at charts and waiting for entry/exit points. The irony is, I'm very bad at day trading, but quite good at fundamentals and entries/exits. I just can't be the one actually executing the orders  Grin

So if I understood correctly, this is sort of an abstraction layer between the blockchain and the order book & UI settlement. You are able to provide high scalability, offloading the work done on the blockchain itself.

But doesnt this at the same force you to centralise data even more, in the primary user gateway?

There isnt much of documentation going on github, and I'm no coder to interpret the work

Re: I almost lost my rock solid regular job because of crypto
by
nikeel
on 07/09/2018, 13:19:12 UTC
Like the title says, i almost lost my regular job as a software developer today when my boss reviewed my work. The job has been able to economically provide a comfortable life for me and losing it would really be a big hit to my income. I almost lost it because i spent so much time learning about everything crypto (mining, trading, bounties, etc.).

Has anyone else experienced this? I just feel pretty lucky I was given another chance and want to remind other people that having a regular job is much better than relying on the volatility of cryptocurrencies. Make sure you prioritize your work!

Keep doing it in your free time man - crypto jobs pay much more for the same qualifications
