trading is a risky venture
overall, long term, it seems better to be hodl your btc versus trying to make a few satoshi's here and there
i let my trading bot do my actual trading, as i don't have time to trade manually non-stop, as i'm usually busy with school and 9-5 work.

Re: Where do you think Bitcoin will be by the end of 2019?
by

my speculation is $7,000 mark
there are tons of new products coming out for traders to gain an edge on trading, and i think trading alone will hold up the price point for btc this year.
im excited myself to get into arbitrage trading as soon as the proper tool comes out.

Re: Will at least one federal bank starts holding btc in upcoming crypto summer?
by

what benefits do you think a federal bank holding bitcoin would be ?
possible loans done with bitcoin for newbie or professional traders, and charging an interest rate?
other than that, i do not see a reason, as federal banks make endless amounts of cash by simply running financial economies with predatory loans. why would they bother with crypto when they already have everyone on their knees trying to pay back credit cards, mortgages and car loans?

an interesting idea to keep in mind as well is that most governments will be taxing bitcoin to fiat transactions immensely, so think of all the governments that will either ruin our exit points with immense taxation, or think of how nice it would be if governments ever eased off crypto-currency so that there could be better financial situations for those that end up exiting and trying to do it the nice, "legal" way.

there are no real cryptocurrency experts, as you can apply traditional projections to something as non-traditional and volatile as bitcoin or other crypto assets.
a lot of people thought that the binance hack would drop the valuation of bitcoin immensely, yet we remain on an upward trajectory.
if you believe in, back it and hold it.

not to be all crypto-anarchist ...
but just because bitcoin is not the easiest of financial tools to use, it doesn't mean its any worse than other financial tools, such as fiat.
Getting paid for a gig in btc and then selling in a year and paying less taxes is preferable to getting taxed 25 percent automatically for a short-term gig.

people are funny about their investments.
when bitcoin hit 20,000 everyone was paying me to consult with them on how to get into bitcoin and all they talked about was how they wish they had gotten in when bitcoin was much lower.
now that its much lower, no one wants to get into it, not even to lower their overall cost on their assets.
people are definitely odd and fickle

unless someone is holding a dozen or more bitcoins, i dont see a 300 drop really being much of massive drop.
most users that i have experienced hold not even .5 btc, so this 300 drop doesnt seem as if it will scare off very many people

tether has been problematic for a long time.
I do however worry that if yet another well-known currency goes bust that yet another drop will occur and we might not ever be able to recover what has already seemingly been a horrible market drawback

Re: Indian regulators have procrastination? The cryptocurrency ban has not lifted

It seems various countries bounce back and forth on whether they will allow crypto currency trading, mining, or even the very possession of bitcoin . I just do not seem why this changes why people let it affect them, as bitcoin and other decentralized currencies were meant to operate outside of government approval, thus the " decentralized " aspect of it.

a bitcoin government?
decentralized doesn't mean much to you, does it?
also, if ever there was a government set up for bitcoin, the people within it would be under pressure by other governments to hand over control, shut down, or do something that would absolve bitcoin, as it takes away from the power of local government fiat.

buy from a friend, or go to a bitcoin enthusiast meet up, or probably any tech meet up and you can probably find someone that will do a face to face transaction

Re: Have The BITCONNECT PROMOTERS Paid Their VICTIMS Back?

I heard BitConnect Promoters got put into a Lawsuit and the SEC charged them. Did they pay any money to the victims or pay any fines etc?

if a decision was issued stating they had to pay fines, i'm assuming they would or already have filed for bankruptcy, so it wouldn't mean much to people that were scammed, as you can't be forced to pay if you have no resources.

Going to zero twice, and thinking you have the winning strategy sounds like what someone with a gambling issue would say.
You want someone else's money to bail you out if you go to zero again, but what happens if that pool of funds is spent?
The next group of investors would be required, which sounds exactly like a ponzi scheme to me.

I was only 1 time to zero.
I think the translator boycotted me Smiley

An insurance system has already been idealized,
in case of loss, there will be some steps to be taken so that traders can exit with winning positions even in the event of market collapse.

you didn't answer my question at all...

Re: CipherTrace CEO serves as Bitcoin Expert Witness in $1.4M Darkweb Case

https://www.theexpertinstitute.com/ciphertrace-ceo-serves-as-bitcoin-expert-witness-in-1-4-million-darkweb-crypto-case/

Dave Jevans, CEO of the blockchain security company CipherTrace was qualified by a Canadian court as an expert on Bitcoin. These experts can help testify or support a legal team to help attorneys understand how crypto works. I think this is great to help catch those who are moving mass amounts of money, narcotics or anything else that would put other people in danger.

You think its great to help catch those who are moving mass amounts of money, narcotics, or anything else that would put people in danger?
I didn't know Dave Jevans was testifying against governements.
 Wink
Also, I don't think expert witnesses have as much sway as you think they do, as there have been countless experts in countless fields which have been realized to be a complete fraud as science and social norms have changed.

Re: Why Banks are attacking Bitcoin ?
by
olliecrypto
on 20/04/2019, 11:13:03 UTC
Banks depend on a huge customer base of uneducated consumers to take out huge loans with crippling interest rates and i feel that bitcoin, even if it has lost some people lots of money, has at least opened their eyes into understanding financial markets, financial solvency, and long term financial planning.
i don't think bitcoin is much of a threat, but involvement within it and realizing that youre under the thumb of bankers, well that is something that bankers and traditional financial markets will never allow

Re: China’s Plan to Ban Bitcoin
by

i have seen "china is banning bitcoin" for years now.
its a bit ridiculous to scream that every couple of months now, and i really don't think most people care about what might happen, because most likely china would just reverse itself as it always does a couple of months down the line
