Re: BTC ACCELERATOR - NO SCAM - CHEAP!
by

on 30/01/2018, 21:45:33 UTC
Hi,
If you have a transactions which is unconfirmed for hours, days or weeks, we can unlock it for you.
The price is 8$ per transaction (which is affordable) but it should be with this characteristics :
- No double spend.
- Size not bigger than 2800 Byte.
- Minimum 10 satoshis per Byte.
We can confirm a transaction in only 3-4 hours maximum.

I get scammed last time in this forum for Bitcoin Tx acceleration, that's why I want to sell this service since we don't scam people and have a real way to confirm Tx.

We accept LTC, ETH since they have low fees its perfect.
Contact me on Telegram : btc92

Unfortunately from what we have seen so far around here, when people willingly announce that they don't scam, they obviously do the opposite. It would have been netter if you did not even announce that part and based on your experience, I am beginning to think its a form of payback (my opinion). Since you have a real way to do this, it would be better if you share more rather than us having to rely on your own vouch alone.

Re: A logical question. There must be an upper price limit ?
by
olushakes
on 30/01/2018, 21:24:54 UTC
Hey,

I am asking myself, do we need a upper price limit for the future ? I just think about this scenario all the time. What is happening if the Bitcoin would supported and legal all over the world or in a lot of countries ? Just my opinion what I would do, I would buy as much Bitcoin as possible because from this point it is relative safe, I would try to spend as little money as possible and here are my reasons.

- If I would buy today something for $1000 it is possible that this $1000 would have a much higher value in the future, so I would think twice about spending my money, I would spend my money just for necessary things and maybe not for leisure thing, mobile phones or a expensive car, what would happen if many people act that way ?

I am curious to hear your opinion.

The world does not work that way. The reason why you have such excess is because someone is willing to spend excess from the one he has. If we all hoard our resources and there is little or less money to go round it then means a job of $10 will now be done for 2$ because of such scarcity of funds in the economy. The system is being designed to be able to meet everybody both the thrifty ones and the flamboyant ones. Its about compensating each other.

Re: Anybody know any countries that are embracing crypto?

It seems Japan is, any others, and if that said country has any exchanges? Just looking for backup in case my country makes crypto illegal somehow which is what they are pushing for i think.

Even if your every other country are making bitcoin legal and yours in their infinite wisdom felt it should be illegal, there is little that you can do about it since you won't denounce your citizenship because of that. Every country have their reasons for taking a position either for or against bitcoin and with recent happenings in the crypto world all over the world, their fears are being justified.

Re: Would you invest in the USD (or any other fiat currency ?)
by
olushakes
on 30/01/2018, 18:32:03 UTC
So far, every fiat currency in the world is inflationary. It will always decrease in value overtime in the long run. Its a guaranteed loss !

Whenever you sell bitcoin, you are buying a fiat currency; making sure you will lose in the long run

TLDR: JUST HODL BTC

At some point you will still have to trust the fiat system to meet your needs because that is the only way you can only enjoy the btc you have pending the time  that bitcoin will be accepted as a mainstream currency. What is there is just that one should only convert what is being needed at the moment to fiat while you keep the other as asset. Aside that, converting to fiat to keep the value can also work out if you don't keep in cash and cash equivalents rather in investing activities most fixed assets.

Re: Someone Just Transferred 40000 Bitcoins
by
olushakes
on 30/01/2018, 06:59:36 UTC
Someone just moved 40000 Bitcoins. And the best part is the fee! LOL

Just imagine the paperwork you need to go through if you are going to move 400M USD from one account to another if you are going to use the banking system.

https://blockchain.info/tx/92785a57f6e9e9eb9d37a00e6e8be7f888376f65fa2b8f868db261cbf6cca7b0

Such amount of money is being move in the banking system without issue just that you have to fill those paper works in other for them to ascertain the source of the funds and be sire it complies with international laws and I wonder what the problem would be if you don't have anything to hide.

And even thinking no paper work is need to move that kind of money because is crypto is grossly exaggerated only if he won't pass through exchange site because there your verification will be on the highest level.

Seeing some charts and elliots waves ... seems like we are going 9K

This range has been with us way too long and its something of concern but we cannot really do anything about it. I am expecting no real move at all this time though because there is nothing to push the price to a new height so we are still going to live with it. $9000 is a possibility but not definite and I am hoping for one big news because I am tired of rolling around with any thing in sight to show that we are moving forward.

Re: Phone scam selling Bitcoin
by
olushakes
on 30/01/2018, 02:47:04 UTC
I received a phone call today from the UK number 020 7616 1383. I didn't answer as I was driving at the time.
I've checked the number through Google, and several sites report it as a financial services scam site that is attempting to sell Bitcoin.
Has anybody else had these types of call? I'm wondering how they got my number as well.

I think just like the ad we see is tailored, so also is the source of the call came from. It would have been from a site that a particular verification has been done the most common of it would be sites where there is an element of freebies probably faucets or some referral program because quality exchange sites have some serious control over data provided to them while the others are mostly about what they can get. I all boils down to being careful where you put your details and never be greedy to make money.

Nitrogen sports will pay you for your nitrogen tattoo. First 10 people will get 0.1 BTC for tattoo, and the best tattoo selected from nitrogen stuff will get 0.3 BTC more, sounds crazy right?
I didn't know where to post this, but this is about earning money and marketplace is the best place for that.
https://nitrogensports.eu/blog/nitro-chat-got-a-bit-crazy/ here you can find more information about requirements.
One guy already did it and post his work on youtube, take a look.
https://youtu.be/55tRbm5YBWY

This is funny for me, I don't have tattoos and I don't think about making one now, what is about you? Who would do this from here for 1000 dollars? If you wish to do it hurry up just 9 more spots left.

In as much as this is going to be fun, I still don't see any sense of purpose on this and what objective they seek to achieve going this kind of promotion for their business. There are several things to be tried in promotion but not this. I personally cannot even pierce my body to the extent of now engraving something related to gambling because of the money involved. They actually know a lot of people would take up the challenge though.

Re: Is mining coming to an end?
by
olushakes
on 29/01/2018, 22:26:41 UTC
Hey everyone,

So I know there are still coins getting made that can be mined but compared to how it used to be and how many tokens get made instead of actual blockchain cryptocurrencies that can be mined.

Could it get to the point where mining actual Cryptocurrencies comes to an end?

There are still several coins that are still minable and I don't think mining can come to an end because even if a particular coin is fully mined which is what I am yet to see, all of the equipment can be deployed to mine another coin and that is the reason why there was noise at some point that miners are switching to another coins at the expense of btc. With the amount of minable coins coming out on a daily basis, mining will continue to have a space in this crypto world.

Re: Good news from Ripple (XRP)
by
olushakes
on 29/01/2018, 22:13:03 UTC
Ripple total circulating supply is huge. Do you think it could surpass Bitcoin in 2018? If  btc stay stagnant, Ripple would over take it if the price is $4.50. I am worried it will not test the high of $3.50 anymore unless there are tremendously good news from the company.

Total supply in terms of volume could be huge which might reduce the value but news like that is huge and if it continues like this as at this time of the year, the effect would be massive that would make the spread of that huge supply thin in the long run. Setting such a cap for it is hugely short sighted because I believe ripple has the potential and of the recent news that have been happening, it has always been to its direction.

Re: Exit / Cash out strategies
by
olushakes
on 29/01/2018, 20:46:38 UTC
Hi folks,

What do you use as your cash out / take profit strategy? Do you even have a strategy for taking profits?

I have been trading for the last 6 months and more than once I have been in a position, which in hindsight, where I should have 'cashed out' a significant portion of my portfolio, but I haven't.

The obvious strategy is to take out your original stake and just 'play' with house money after that. I also read that if you double your investment in a coin then sell half which seems quite obvious. However, I have a long term vision in place (mortgage/house purchase) which makes me more inclined to leave the majority of my portfolio exposed to the market. I use Blockfolio app which makes it easier to track my investments and until recently I was just skimming the profit off successful coins and reinvesting in sleeping giants. This strategy was working well until the price of BTC nosedived by around 50% 3 weeks ago which makes me think a regular profit taking Into FIAT strategy would be far more effective.

I plan to ride the alt train for as long as possible. I follow the market daily which makes me confident to hold fast through the hard times but I feel having some kind of profit road map is a good thing.

Thanks for your input.

If you really don't want to blame yourself then you should have  a strategy in place on cashing out. You can set it to be every 3 months or 6 months or maybe the time when the market is at the peak because the marker is so volatile and the fact that there is never a perfect time to cash out several things can happen that we don't even plan for and those that are fond of keeping are mostly hit.

Re: ETH next to BTC?
by

on 29/01/2018, 05:06:18 UTC
I just created this thread to gather opinions ..
Ethereum is next to BTC?

When it comes to existence, acceptance, popularity and even development, I would say ETH is surely next to btc and even the best alternative to me. ETH has proven itself to be among the top and any ranking where crypto is to be mentioned, its always on the list. But when it comes to price, its not next to bitcoin because BCH is still worth more than ETH at the moment as well as handful few coins.

Re: India's Banks shut down Cyptocurrency trading accounts
by
olushakes
on 28/01/2018, 21:03:00 UTC

Banks are getting scared and I think people will always find a way if they want it.

That is the part that is relevant in all this in that no matter how much they think they will clamp down, they are just creating an opportunity for people to be ingenious in the way to do things. People who are of link minded don't even need the exchange sites to make trades all they need to do is create groups which I have seen people do on WhatsApp and buying and selling is being done without limitations, transfers will be made to the banks and nothing would be suspicious. When people are determined about a course of action, they are the only ones that can stop themselves.

Re: Cryptocurrency Banks: needed?

Well, I don't have any serious issue against the having of cryto bank, just some fundamentals that would ensure that it runs properly as a bank when those are settled, then its all good to have a crypto bank among such are

1. What will be the initial deposit that they will have to have before operating a bank, who will collect it? Who will issue the license to operate as such.

2. Who will guarantee funds, how would they pay interest on deposit because a conventional bank do that to customers deposit.

3. Who will be held responsible in case hackers get hold of funds and the fund is stolen? If all these can be answered an verified , we can have such.

I also see like that, first impression when reading on the start page as it is less interesting ,, here must be a change for us to succeed this project. create a start page that is as interesting as possible so we can lure the interest of many people ..
There's a saying that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and with the first impression, you can't understand what it is all about when you'll take some of your precious time reading what's the project all about. Although they still don't have announcement on when will be the ICO gonna start but it said that it will be on the coming days, I can't wait for that day.

It seems you don't quite get it. When people open an announcement thread, what keeps them going to the next page is the information on the Op and anything else and the same thing happen to me, it was when I started moving down the posts, I started seeing some responses to inquiries which should have been answered already and if the posts get to page 20, how does someone coming in fresh have an idea of what the project is about?

Re: Are you afraid of hackers?
by
olushakes
on 28/01/2018, 18:41:51 UTC
Recently Bloomberg posted the information that it took hackers less than 10 years to steal over 14% of all existing Bitcoins and Ethereum from the wallets of their holders. The total sum they have stolen is more than $1,2 billion! How to protect yourself from hackers attacks? Are you afraid of this stuff?

The truth is it raises a lot of concern on how secure the entire crypto market is. Today when I lose my ATM card, I know its going to take some beyond the average individual to hack into my account or even with a call or a text message to my banker, the account would be restricted for any fund to go out and if it is moved to another account, it can be traced and reversed. But here, browsing some sites alone can make you vulnerable, downloading the wrong, copying and pasting, revealing your private key, leaving fund on exchange sites among others. And yes I am scared.

I hope everybody would be fair about this new feature implemented by admin theymos.
This thread is for the purpose of awareness that merit is given to a constructive and quality post. I have made a thread here in the market place section, hoping that there will not be such things like buying and selling merits. Let's work with our own asses.

P.S.
OP  is not asking attention, read and understand.  Obedience is better than sacrifice.
Saddly, but many people are already selling/buying Merit points, for example here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2827197.0
On local boards there are much more Merit sellers. There was people who got 20 or even 50 Merit for a low quality posts, it's obvious abuse of Merit system. Both, buyer and seller has to be reported to DT members and they will give them red trust rating.

People like that are those that continually make the effort of people trying to keep the forum decent and make it more accommodating frustrated because of their actions and they are the same people that flood the entire forum with posts that are not relevant and spams which led to serious of issues. Those people should not be allowed in saner society and even a Senior member rank and bold enough to open a thread for that, its surprising.

I apologize for trying to impose my opinion on you, but I think that you are making a mistake by selling BTW for such a ridiculous amount, because it will cost much more. Although there may be different things in life. Therefore, of course you decide.

You don't need to advise him. Anybody is free to do what he so wishes to do so far he is ready to live with the outcome and not wine about how someone tricked him into taking such decision if it happen that BTW didn't worth the intended amount after all. When BCH came I waited a while before selling and after some weeks, it started to increase but I was not bother simply because I sold in my own volition and nothing else.

I am looking to make a coin that the price does not change like all coins.  it needs a stable price, the catch is, this will need to be 100% decentralized from start to finish.

Any ideas?

You will have to look far because I have not seen any coin like that one of the things that attract people to a coin is its volatility that is what gives the potential of profit for it to be traded by market participants. And come to think of it, when the price of a coin does not change for a long time, it is bound to be delisted anytime soon from the exchange sites and when that happen, it is gradually losing its status that might mean the end very soon.

On look at the front page, I must say I am not impressed with the presentation on what the project is all about. I expect to see some real explanation in Op's first message even if its not going to be full at least brief and catchy to a large extent. Also, relavnt links should be in the first message and not a case of someone still asking for members of the team when this should be been included in the opening message.
