Re: What do you prefer Bitcoin or Ethereum ?

I was wondering which one was your favorite out of the two cryptocurrencies? I think Ethereum has proved to be more flexible than Bitcoin even though Bitcoin is making the biggest noise
Both of them have a good value. They will raise value one by one or together in one session. Be better if you hold and trade for both coins.

Re: What happens when there is NO electricity? How does one trade with BTC?
by
om_iyo
on 19/04/2018, 15:29:17 UTC
We hear in the news that many people in countries that have currency issues are starting to trade in BTC - for example, Venezula.

My friend asked me what about in regions where they lose electricity, how would they trade with BTC?

For example Puerto Rico is right now devastated by the hurricane, and many parts of its region don't have electricity.  A lot of people need to buy food and even fresh water.

Is there a way to still trade with BTC in such situations?

Can P2P trade still occur despite having any connection to the greater block-chain network?  Keep in mind that it's easy to charge mobile phone so they have access to wallet apps, but probably not the Internet.

I don't know too much about mobile data networks, but I doubt one's 4G/LTE data plan would work in such situations.  I assume that data would have to be relayed to a tower/dish before it's sent to satellites.  Am I correct?
Base on this situation, could I say that we still need paper money to do some offline transactions or do some business in a remote are?

Re: How does bitcoin become a currency?
by
om_iyo
on 18/04/2018, 15:34:58 UTC
In the beginning, BTC could be used to exchange of low value of virtual items, such as buying web sites or game points, virtual items, etc., afterwards, some people in order to get these virtual items, items may be in online auction own reality for BTC, others want to buy the real goods, but no BTC at hand, and then use real money to exchange BTC, as a result, BTC begin to flow, and have a "value".

In other words, bitcoin is inherently valuable as a means of payment; If it loses its function as a means of payment, it becomes worthless.

The value of money: it exists because of payment.
So that you mean if BTC less use to pay something, it just stop as an investment? Because I saw some people still feel that BTC has high risk to use as a money; it's so unstable.

Since the Muslim community can now trade/hold/invest legally on Cryptocurrecy especially BTC. Do you think it can uplift the price of BTC and concurrency as a whole?

Dubai is very active on Cryptocurrency. It's hosting many of cryptocurrency forum.
We all know that there are a lots of Arabs that are really rich.

I know, some moslem leader allowed BTC for invest, trade, or something else. And some of moslem leader still discuss about it. And the question is, how about if it's halal clearly, but the regulation in his country is banned it? As long as we know, some moslem leader told that every moslem have to love his country, because it's a part of faith for Islam.

Re: We do not need government and bank any more
by

on 12/04/2018, 16:11:53 UTC
With the fast developing blockchain technology, more and more people are getting involved in the blockchain world. The human being has been evolving so many years, we went through the period of the primitive society, the agricultural revolution, the industrial revolution, and the Internet revolution. It's time to change, we now need to enter a new era, a decentralized era, we got to trust each other with the technology, but not with the third parties. Government is third parties, the bank is third parties, all the giant company are third parties. Why they want to hinder the development of blockchain or ICO. Because they are afraid, there are no more people they can get benefit from.
If no third parties, so who make a decision if any 'chaos'? Who will protect for poor people etc? If no government, who will create infrastructure, like electricity, rail way, etc?

https://cointelegraph.com/news/2018-mature-crypto-market-will-draw-more-investment-see-less-volatility-analyst-says

Obviously as an investor you understand there are risks but out of all the exchanges out there, i can think of 2-3 that I would personally trust with my money and in my case we are only talking about thousands, imagine a big player with millions using etherdelta or some other retarded exchange, no way that will ever happen. Even big exchanges like bittrex, not long ago, they fucked up and made everyone wait months and months to get your account enabled or verified. Why would any big player invest in crypto when the risk is so huge, there is literally zero safety, any exchange can run away with your money and you can barely do anything.
"Regulators are not banning the development of cryptocurrencies, but are trying to better...". Yea, I agree for this sentence. It useful to make it beter and better. So we can still use, invest, and trade it. It could push the scammers, so investor feel more safe to change their money into this asset.

on 12/04/2018, 05:33:02 UTC
Hello there... I am from India, and Bitcoin is still in the grey area here. It is not legal, but it has not been declared illegal either. But the government has explicitly stated that Bitcoin is not recognized as a legal currency here.

The government is still working on deciding a framework for it, but we have absolutely no idea about what its verdict will be. So, people here are trading in Bitcoin for short-term gains. Make hay while the sun shines!

How are your governments reacting to Bitcoin and what's its position in your country?
I think, we have in same condition. Our central of bank was make a rule, Bitcoin can't change to our currency. And for investment, it's still in grey area. Basically, an investment is depend with the investor. In legal investment, government protect their money for some risks. But, in Bitcoin investment has no protection from government. So, no taxes put from crypto assets.

Let ICO holders automatically send coins to your Ethereum wallet just after receiving your Ethereum

Just like, betrium.co is doing.

KYC is really useless for crypto currency traders.

I believed that the best way is to screen out scam ICO by have it regulated by the government in this way the government well required the ICO owners to submit necessary documents for them to have permit to do business and also know your costumer which is commonly called as KYC is must be always in effect.
Honestly, I agree your idea. I mean, we need a board to eliminate scammers. But, most people in crypto world will disagree with this idea. Because it would be as a centralized system. And government will put some taxes for every ICO. And it's not working, I think.
