Here is the main reason which has reduced your base reward of the hourly faucet. You can increase it by playing the multiply BTC game or by buying tickets.
~snip~ users with a low ratio of wagering to free winnings that get the low wagering reduction.
Thank you for the response!
Claiming from the faucet as well as redeeming Wheel of Fortune spins will negatively affect the ratio needed to maintain the base reward at $0.002 worth of sats. Your BTC balance also factors into whether your reward is reduced. I believe if you have over $100 worth in your account then you will have the normal base reward, but the requirement is lower depending on how much you've wagered.
Thank you for taking a look at my question! Do you know if those thresholds/ratios were ever published?
I would expect this kind of penalty to be imposed if I had thousands of SATs claimed, but in fact:
- FREE ROLLS PLAYED: 630
- FREE ROLL WINNINGS: 0.00003371
- MULTIPLY BTC ROLLS PLAYED: 5,224
- MULTIPLY BTC WINNINGS: -0.00001285
- SPENT ON LOTTERY TICKETS: 0.00000531
and ~1k SATs lost on betting (not included in the statistics) with the current balance of ~1300 SATs.
Doesn't look impressive, does it? I stopped claiming free daily WoFs, because they drastically reduce progress to the next +5 SAT bonus. Speaking of which, btw, here are some numbers:
- a free roll costs "-0.0025%" towards next +5 level
- a lottery ticket costs "+0.0052%"
Assuming I always spend all free roll income (2 SATs, larger payouts are negligible) on the lottery (and never win, as the chances are tiny) and 10 rolls per day on average, the missing "88%" until the next +5 level would take: 88 / 0.0054 / 10 = ~4.5 years. Nice!

I never considered freebitco.in as a source of income (but as a fun activity), but these calculations mean it is not worth spending time there at all.
