So after opt-in we will have same amount of SYM on a different chain and we can keep same amount of XEM on old chain?
Did i get it correctly?
Yes after opt-in you get XYM on new chain in equal amount of XEM on old chan that you had on the date of the snapshot . You do not loose XEM on old chain. You keep them because there is not coin burning or swapping involved.
Don't make the mistake of thinking you won't lose Xem. Highest probably Xem will lose value because of the 2 chains and Xym will be better (at least that's what they try to make us believe). Just look at other blockchain projects who had a similar development -> it didn't end up well. The smart people will dump a day or two before the snapshot. Only the gullible will be left holding the bag, thinking that they will have gained twice the value. Don't let the Foundation trick you by telling you that they will figure out a way to keep the Xem chain alive.
Any example from the past, except for NXT snapshot?

still no change with IOTA? No transactions, no withdrawals?
Anybody knows what's the problem with bitfinex? I cannot withdraw my IOTA. Few days ago when I was trying to withdraw it was saying my IOTA address is wrong and since yesterday there is a message on bitfinex stating: "Notice: Withdrawals for this currency are currently unavailable."
The IOTA network is temporarily offline due to bug fixes. Just wait one or two days.
the same goes for Binance? I was considering my entry for IOTA, but im concerned with the current situation

Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs
I have invested in NEM and it is always a good experience for me. Hopefully my investments will be fruitful in the long run and will be investing more. Maybe some good news from the creators would be worthwhile approach in assuring us this will have a great future.
good experience for me as well. Just joined here, I was more present on Reddit forum before. I wanted to ask you NEMbers, what is your view on diversification strategy. I know the old saying 'dont put all your eggs in one basket' but on the other side, it limits your prospects on the maximum profits. Entering NEM in June I wasnt looking for small or quick gains, rather than that, I wanted few thousand percent return after holding for 3-5 years. Only recently I added 2 other coins, yet still making my portfolio 75% in XEM. I am totally fine with loosing it all, but being strong believer and fan of NEM, keep an eye on it every day.
How about you guys? Do you keep plenty of baskets or have one XEM basked and watch it carefully?
