... on a secure chip.
I wonder why HTC abandoned the HTC Exodus 1 and Exodus 1s product line around 2 years ago, which included another hardware-based wallet solution, see https://www.htcexodus.com/

IIRC it wasn't intended to be a cold wallet, but it was more secure than a piece of software while easier to handle than a hardware wallet, I guess.

So when I press the "Withdraw" button,
will the mBTC amount be transferred immediately to my registered address?
Or do I have the possibility to check the planned transaction before it is finally published?

Hi bitbollo. If you haven't already, I would suggest opening a ticket here and escalating that ticket using this form posted by Dargo.
bitbollo, don't bother. It's a waste of time. In March this year I had the same problem, and still have. Initially I hesitated opening a ticket as these mass support centres usually put their customers off with some silly replies like "Please check your spam folder". Eventually I did open a ticket anyway. It took them four days to "solve" the issue: "... It is possible that the email could end up in your spam folder. ..."

i'll do a test withdrawal and a deposit to test how long it takes
Could you also do a Bitcoin test withdrawal to a newly added Bitcoin address? Each time a new Bitcoin address is added for withdrawal from Kraken there should be a confirmation email message. This had worked without problems up to several weeks ago. This time Kraken never sends me any of these messages, and all the withdrawal attempts had been set to "On hold". And yes, I did check all the spam and filter settings and actually deactivated all those. Then tried again several times without any success.
Withdrawals to old existing Bitcoin addresses still work, though.

5 full days, and no response from support
Only 4 days in my case. It used to be 4 hours on average in the past. The thing that worries me most: it took them 4 days just to send me a standard excuse that the confirmation email messages may have ended up in my spam folder

Are we witnessing the beginning of another slow death of an exchange, just like Cryptsy, Vircurex, ...

Looks like I coincidentally discovered a serious malfunction in Kraken's main email infrastructure. I tried to withdraw some amount to a newly created bitcoin address. In this case I usually receive an email message containing a confirmation link with a 1 hour's expiration time. Unexpectedly, this email message never arrived. So I checked all my email account settings, deactivated the SPAM detection and any other mail filters. I sent me a dozen differently crafted email messages to myself, i.e. to an email address exclusively created for all my communication with Kraken. They all arrived in perfect condition. Then tried withdrawing to that new bitcoin address again: silence. Tried again: silence. Withdrawing to an old existing bitcoin address works perfectly as this does not require email traffic. They even paid a pretty generous fee of 250+ satoshis/byte for my test transaction. It got included in the very next block.

There is another proof that it's not my email provider that is to blame: I opened a ticket using Kraken's Zendesk frontend, and lo and behold: the ticket receipt arrived at my email inbasket at an instant. This means that the Kraken Support email server works flawlessly while the trading environment's email server is broken.

I will write to legal@kraken.com and try to get some answers from there.
Don't bother. Email messages from/to Kraken are vanishing into the void at the moment. The only way of communicating with Kraken ist using support.kraken.com. I hope their Zendesk-internal communication is completely independent of the trading platform's email system.

So if you sent a SEPA deposit today,
SEPA deposits still not working.
EDIT: Meanwhile I opened a support ticket, and the support responded within a few minutes and manually checked/approved the deposited amount.

It is just a trap to make him reveal himself. They will assassinate him afterwards.

Assassination by riding in the backseat of a New Jersey taxi?
And as if that was not enough, they hacked his website and ridiculed his achievements. Truly disgusting.

I don't have an account at local bitcoins but still received an email of this sorts. Might be from another service
Same here. Never used localbitcoins.
Bitcoin-24 was the only place that knew the email address where this "Global Advisors" ponzi offer arrived.

Nothing really needs to happen inside Greece, it's the rest of the world speculating about what can or cannot happen that can drive the price nuts.
This. And part of the current price development is a Fontas-like pump and dump cycle: pump on good news (Greeks need to buy cryptos), dump some five days later. Get ready for a moderate correction this week. We won't see lower than $250 figures, though.

Can there really be any profit in it?
As BrianM mentioned above, "when people are stupid enough to deposit there". This is Kumala's profit. Sometimes you actually can withdraw small amounts but it is a bit of a lottery. Around 50% of the withdrawals get stuck, and you have no chance to unlock these withdrawals.

Edit: Concerning the withdrawal problems things have improved somehow. All the unsuccessful withdrawals in my account have been refunded.

Re: Thailand: sawasdee krub! Explanation of Bitcoin in Thai! ยินดีต้อนรับครับ
by
pat1900

At the moment https://coins.co.th/ seems to be the easiest way to buy and sell Bitcoin with Thai Baht. ID verification is required after opening an account, i.e. send in a scan of the passport (or ID card for Thai citizens) and a scan of a bank or insurance statement or similar. And you need a mobile phone (can be both a foreign or a Thai mobile number) for receiving SMS messages with passwords.

Deposit cash at all major banks in Thailand. In most cases you can even deposit cash at CDMs (cash deposit machines) and some cash-accepting ATMs. Then go online, log in and buy Bitcoins.

If you want to sell Bitcoin there is currently only one option for foreigners to cash out: receive up to 19900 Baht per order at any Krungthai ATM. No credit card required. You receive two passwords independently, one to your email address, and a second one in an SMS message to your mobile phone. EDIT: this option is currently deactivated.

Thai nationals can also cash out at 7-eleven (up to 5000 Baht), at most post offices, and at most branches of the major banks.

Fees for depositing cash is around 200 Baht. Withdrawal is 30 to 50 Baht. The exchange rate is the medium average rate plus/minus 0.75% (credit cards: 2% to 4%, W.U.: over 5%).

There is also bitcoin.co.th and bx.in.th, but their cash-out/cash-in options require a bank account.
