Here's my take - bankers,big business and their poodles, the politicians, do not want us, the people to have financial independance. It's pretty plain to see that fiat currencies will collapse sooner or later. What the 'whales' are doing now is driving crypto dowm and then hoovering them up at a profit. They know that bitcoin and the like will become world currencies in a few years time and they are not going to allow 'little people' to hold any of significance. I shall hang on in. I am convinced over the long term that crypto is the future and I am happy to keep some reserves outside fiat.

I know what a wallet is but I'm not clear what you can put in it. In my own leather wallet I have a ten pound note along with a bunch of Euros and a few dollars. In a cryptowallet can I hold various coins, bitcoin, etherium etc? I have a MyEtherWallet but does that mean I can only hold Etherium in it?

Hi folks!
            I've read books, looked at youtube but there is something I still don't quite understand. The Blockchain idea is brilliant and I can see the huge advantages in using it. What I am not clear on, though, is if you used a blockchain to buy something. Is the whole point that you buy and sell using cryptocurrencies and you don't have anything to do with $/£ etc? Not only that, you couldn't buy a car or something on the blockchain without using crypto? Please tell me I'm correct!
