I've not heard a beep out of mine (with the M3 screw in the hole).  And yes, I'm thinking about popping the lid an securing the screw in place with some tape.

I'm running two S3's of a FSP Aurum PRO Series 1000W Modular PSU, which gets a generally good review by Jonny Guru (http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story4&reid=292 is the hot performance stats)

I've also got another two S3's, each running off a FSP Raider 650W, with an adapter cable to use the EATX 8-pin CPU power lead as well as the PCIe 6-pin power lead.

I found that a M3 bolt screws nicely into the hole on top of the buzzer.

re: Silencing the beeper.

A short M3 bolt screws nicely into the hole on top of the buzzer.

Then again, I don't think it's needed to beep since I put it in - I had two beeps last night before I decided to shut it down to save being asked "what's beeping? has the freezer door been left open?" again.

Batch 1, to NZ.  I expect mine to arrive Monday at the earliest due to Customs Duty shenanigans which I encountered with my last two orders from Bitmain.

Happened a lot to me lately with different miners. Measure your 12V line - it should be 12V (not 11.9) under load. Consider replacing power supply! I use IBM server 825W PSUs and absolutely happy with them - 12.1V under 100% load!

It could be that - I can hear the fan speed dropping a bit occasionally.

I've got four running with 7500:880, getting ~440GH/s on btcguild, power draw of three of them is 410W at the wall according to the watt meter I have.  Though I don't trust the watt meter much...

Oh, and they have dropped off once in the last 4 days.  But that may have been when I added the fourth miner.

Honest people buy on used gear on ebay because

1) 45 day protection

2) coupons, ebucks, other  discounts. --- I purchased  items with 10% off  a 20 coupon then 2% off .  the item was cheaper then any seller anywhere.

3)they do not have the btc to buy gear

4) I sell on ebay my gimmick is my gear is the cheapest on ebay in its class.
I do well. I give them complete setup help and never sell anything I can't run in my house.
Many buyers actually trust me since I do the right thing for them.

Bingo.  I follow #3 and #4 here in New Zealand with TradeMe.  Many, many happy buyers, and keep them happy with making sure they can get them running.

Re: [ANN] Technobit HEX16E - BE200 based 16 chip board
by

What's your expected price point?

My guess based on marto's current pricing for the Hex8A 130GH would be around the €220 mark, but could be as low as €180 based on the known price of the BE200 chips (max of US$0.5 / GH, and max 10GH per chip) and marto's assembly-only products with a similar chip count.

I'd expect a HSF similar to the HEX8A 130GH, though I'd rather have a larger heatsink to take a 120 or 140mm fan, or pair of 120mm fans.

Re: Looks like bitmain is doing everything to give us trouble

Perhaps some gentle advice was provided by the carriers back to Bitmain to put a more accurate value on the consignments.

In Little ol' NZ, if you have a consignment worth over NZ$1000, you need to sign up as an importer so you can cough up the Duties, fees and taxes.  Also, by registering, you can pay the Duty etc before the consignment arrives, speeding things along their way.

My first pair of S1's I ordered in February came thorugh as US$49.95 each, no need to regsiter (GST only payable on goods+ Shipping over NZ$370)

My March shipment on 500 x Antminer U2's caused me to have to register.

The pair I'm waiting for delivery tomorrow came through as US$200 each.  Since I forgot to add my NZ Customs client code, the delivery that should have happened on Thursday is delayed by 6 days (4 business days),  oops.  Then again, I had to prove that I'd paid (0.804BTC / US$374 at the time), less than the declared total value (US$510) on the consignment.  And if you end up paying GST, it pays to have a decent consigment to make it worthwhile as you get charged NZ$100 just for the need to handle the paperwork...
