I am not very artistic myself but I was thinking it would be a pretty cool service to provide some sort of illustration/certificate/template that creatively commemorated an individuals first transaction.

Do many of you know your first transaction? I do and I'd love to somehow illustrate it in some form.

Has something like this been done?

It was maybe 10-15 minutes. I cannot remember details of it it was encrypted or if I encrypted it on start up. Its encrypted now with a known password. Clean load. Still cleanly loads in BTC client with invalid Meta data from 2 doge deposits. Probably were mining deposits from BTC client 0.3

So how are you getting the info about the keys?

Is the function below (or similar) what's outputting your error messages?

Code:
python2.7 pywallet.py --recover --recov_device=/path/to/wallet.dat --recov_size=200000 --recov_outputdir=/tmp

Can you get into a bit more detail about what happened when you loaded the wallet into DOGE, how you loaded it and at what point you realized your mistake and quit/killed the DOGE client if you can remember?

The coins have returned! Thank you so much for your help.

The next problem is, no matter what I do, the 'send' button is greyed/blanked out and not letting me send the coins elsewhere. The sync bar is always empty. Any ideas?

I redownload multidoge but still can't send.

Can anyone advise? My multidoge simple doesn't seem to sync and therefore the send option is not available.

You could consider exporting your doge private key by following these instructions:

https://multidoge.org/help/v0.1/help_exportingPrivateKeys.html

Then say using a wallet like Exodus and sweep your Doge into that wallet by following these instructions:

https://support.exodus.com/article/87-can-i-import-a-private-key#:~:text=If%20you%20don't%20see,update%20to%20our%20latest%20release.&text=Click%20the%20QR%20code%20icon,the%20funds%20into%20your%20wallet.

Currently my most recommended alt to friends, family is $DRGN https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/dragonchain I believe for what its doing and the road ahead its quite undervalued.

I won't go spending a ton of time on why I think it is as I believe everyone should do their own research but look at their twitter for some recent news too.

Good luck!

I still hold some DRGN from 2018....it's down a lot...I will go check news and roadmap...almost forgot about that Grin
Is there any big announcement or incoming event?

For me it's not so much about what's ahead but what's transpired quietly. Like they actually own a patent https://dragonchain.com/blog/dragonchain-awarded-us-interchain-patent - they have a successful business model already.

Users can also earn more Dragonchain by running unmanaged nodes. If you have your $DRGN in your wallet, you can check your TIME here https://dragonchain.com/community/time/ If you have a lot of TIME you may be missing out on setting up a profitable node.

Hi there, and good luck with your endeavours!

May I ask what's up with the font kerning on your examples? Below is how your images look to me. Perhaps it has something to do with you posting samples using svg (which reference fonts instead of having them embedded) instead of jpg/png? If that's the case then I highly suggest you promote your goods with expored pngs instead!

Re: New to Electrum help

You many not have to transfer your bitcoin to Electrum.  If your current wallet is a web-wallet or a exchange wallet, then yes, you should transfer the money to your Electrum wallet.  But, if your currently using another desktop wallet you can just import your backup seed-phrase or the private keys into Electrum.  Doing so won't cost you anything in fees.
Ok so I'm using Exodus so yes it can show me the private key for my address and I could import it to Electrum. One question what will happen to the current Exodus address? Will it generate a new one? I also have Ethereum in Exodus I guess it would not happen anything to it right?

You will share the same key/addresses with Electrum and Exodus. Just as though you had an Exodus/Electrum wallet on two separate machines. You will see transactions made from one appear in the other and vice versa. No, nothing will happen with your Ethereum.

First off, you didn't get 1.2BTC with $80AU, you got 0.0012 (or 1.2 mBTC)
Secondly, the transfer from the exchange to Electrum cost you 0.0005BTC, why would you blame that on the Electrum wallet and not the exchange?
Thirdly, sending the BTC back to the exchange then cost you 0.0002BTC as Electrum calculated the fees at this point (note how Electrum's fees were lower than your exchange fees)
Fourthly, BTC fees are high currently.

It sounds you like you need to educate yourself a lot more before you accuse anyone/thing of being a scam. I can't believe you had the gall to find this bitcoin forum, create a username like you did and then look as uneducated as you have.

Re: My 13.02 BTC and 157 ETH complaint against Stake.com

I'm confused about this part:

Quote
I then requested another permanent self casino ban on 23 September 2020  and it was granted/approved by the owner directly since he is my VIP host.

I will post the proof of this if it is requested by or disputed by Stake,   it's a private telegram message and I would like to respect his privacy.

This request was also removed and I was able to play in the casino again.

What transpired such that the request was removed again? Did you speak with someone or was it just working again somehow?

I again requested it to be removed via telegram.

I don't enjoy admitting I am a degenerate with no self control,   I think most guys who request a self casino ban eventually ask for it to be removed,  but its the casino's responsibility not to do so after the process of requesting a permanent casino ban has been completed.

Otherwise,  whats the point of having the process if it can be undone so easily ?

Okay, just wanted to clear that up. No one enjoys admitting their degeneracy I'm sure, I am sympathetic to your situation.

I think this really reflects poorly on stake.com. Trying to be pedantic about a permanent ban vs permanent exclusion of a specific section of their site is not within the spirit (perhaps even the legality of their license, though I have no knowledge of this, just wondering) of the whole Responsible Gambling section. I wonder if they would have been stricter if the player was not betting so much but seeing the size of your gambling they let it slide.

Either way, I'd be interested in hearing what a Stake.com rep has to say about this. Being able to just revoke a perm self exclusion by a telegram discussion seems very weird. I'd think they'd at least allow an "Are You Sure?" period or something like that.

Good luck everyone! The sprint will be on come Feb 21.

I actually found 21 names somehow!  Undecided Took me a while to figure out which one wasn't counted.
~

That's great news, and thanks for the tip plen, so now I have to find actually 5 not 4 names. It's gonna be fun to figure out which one is not included. Now I saw that the time of the locked transaction is actually Sun Feb 21 2021 00:00:14 EST, that means 05.00.14 UTC, I guess I won't be the first in that challenge but I'll try my best.

Good luck everyone and thanks for the tip again.

Oh I don't want to lead you on a wild goose chase. The member in question that I had to remove hadn't posted since 2015. I spotted a common word, did a member search and thought I had verified that they were active. Only after trying many things with me thinking I had the 20 usernames did I figure I got one wrong. So I revisited the list and spotted the error and had to thus go find the real 20th user.

Right so I tried to 'open wallet' through multidoge using the multidoge.wallet file we just found. It appears to be trying to do something but just says 'synchronising' permanently. The wallet doesn't appear to be loading up and I cannot yet see my original balance.

What should I do? Redownload multidoge again and try with that?

Okay make sure you first backup that wallet, maybe even a couple times to different places, heh. Then I'd download and install the latest multidoge, let it first create a new wallet if it prompts you. If it detects your existing wallet then let it try to do what it wants to migrate/open it, as long as you have the backup. Then wait to see if it syncs okay, if it does at that point we'll want to try to open/import the old wallet.

Maybe a silly question, but how do I back up the wallet?

You copy it from the folder you found it in and paste it in another folder, perhaps on your Desktop or in your Documents folder.

Re: Why don't American Companies make Bitcoin Miners?
by
plen
on 16/02/2021, 01:56:39 UTC
They can do but they have to bear a lot of cost for doing that.
Bitcoin mining requires a lot of energy. So anyone who wants to set up a mining farm will try to set it up in a place where electricity price is relatively cheap and mining equipment is available at low prices. That's why most the miners prefer places like China, Cyprus where electricity prices are relatively low.

I think he was asking why the USA has no mining machine manufacturers.

I believe it probably does have to do with labour. It also could be tariffs on certain stuff that is required to manufacture them.

What you're seeing here is someone sent out a payment to 50 separate addresses in one transaction and you were one of them. That's the only address that belongs to you.

Thanks Plen. I have searched that in windows explorer/windows search bar but nothing comes up. Should I be searching somewhere else? For the username part, do you mean my PC username? I tried that but still nothing.

Do you have hidden files shown in your Windows Explorer? Do you even see the AppData folder when browsing your files?

I just changed it to show hidden files but still nothing is coming up. No, I cant see any AppData folder?

Alright well lets start with do you have a C:\Users folder? If so can you see if any folders inside there have an AppData folder?
