Re: Let fear to lose be motivation to learn
by

Actually in reality most of people who fear to lose will not learn because they're scared to take a risk. When you're fear to lose your money, you will be very careful and you wouldn't leave your comfort zone. Just like someone who's start a business, there's no business will always make money constantly everyday.

This is very well said. If you are afraid to step out of your comfort zone, nothing will happen. Take the risk or miss the opportunity. That's it! Famous businesses won't be known by today if the owners of it let their fears govern.

Life is a gamble, so let's play it well and wisely!

Re: Set your mind on your goals and nothing else
by

on 03/10/2023, 13:56:58 UTC

Only God knows what would have happened if I never left, my mind kept telling me to venture into crypto at the time and even my own family shut the idea down.

I don't know why and now they are asking for my help, I have to do it since they are my family, and even my friends are asking for help, would you help your discouraging friends if you are in my shoe? They were my friends, but not anymore, I believe friends should be supportive of each other, am I wrong.

If you are a crypto newbie, make sure you set your mind on your goals, do not be discouraged by anyone, people can't see the future, we are not gods or demigods who can read the future, do not listen to any naysayers.

One thing for sure is, you are meant for that gift. It is the fruit of your patience, willingness, and faith with your venture with BTC.

And for others who are still waiting for their big turn with BTC, just keep our eyes on our goal. While we are waiting, let us keep on learning. This forum is a big help for newbies like me and also to the pros to keep us updated with the trend and other stuff on BTC.

Everything will not be in vain as long as we keep our faith that one day, everything will come in our favor.

Re: Notification that you should never click
by
powder1800
on 02/10/2023, 01:39:13 UTC
What I learned from here is that, if it sounds and looks suspicious, do not click it. You can already recognized it from the way how their usernames constructed- it is usually jumbled letters with many numbers. Aside from that, if you can see the preview of their messages, their grammar is a whole crap. So better watch out for these signs!

...About files shared in an email or any chat platforms like Telegram, Discord, never click on it is a vital rule for everyone. It is more important rule to obey if you received it from a stranger, more reason to never click on it and download file then open it.

Spam folders are really a great help to avoid scammers or any other suspicious and fraudulent activities online. I'm not saying that you should not visit this section on your emails, but you should also try to visit it, because sometimes when you are waiting for an email from someone and this sender is new on your inbox, they might go to your spam. So better get their details so that you can check it beforehand. Also don't forget to delete those spams- it will save your space plus it will reduce your carbon footprint!

...About email you received, I would like to ask. Did it come to your Spam folder?

Mostly emails from scammers will come to Spam folder that is a signal or can be considered as a red flag, don't click on it if the sender is a stranger.

Generally, don't forget to always think before you click. Do not let your curiosity governs alone, gear up with knowledge so that your assets are secured.

Hi, welcome to Bitcointalk!

Most of the users already talked about the basics for this forum. Yep, you can simply explore it by yourself since it's user- friendly designed.

What I can advise to you is that, once you decide to post something here, it should be based on your OWN OPINION(S). NEVER ever plagiarize someone's piece, or use AIs like as Chat GPT just to bring some content here because the mods can easily find that and can kick you out here.

So, always remember, be YOU and just share what you really know.  Cheesy
Again, welcome and may you have a fruitful journey here!

Re: Is Bitcoin really risky as they say?
by
powder1800
on 30/09/2023, 13:49:26 UTC
"The only reason why bitcoin becomes risky is when you are trying to own or achieve it without the basic knowledge about bitcoin. You could have end up losing your money through scams or just by simply buying and selling at a very wrong timing, or when the market is not having a good market entry. However, if you acquire knowledge the you need before buying or investing into bitcoin, you could have done it with caution so won’t fall into its high risk of losing."

Indeed, knowledge is vital and an edge to everyone who thinks Bitcoin is a scam and unfair. Knowing the risks of trading and turning this into a salient key to keep going and having patience will surely lead you to success.

People have different perspectives on BTC, it differs on their experiences. If you are a first timer, definitely you'll be afraid. But as the time goes by, and you have gained knowledge in BTC, you'll realize that these RISKS are NOT A HINDRANCE, instead these will lead you to brighter opportunities to suceed and learn more.

And I hope, once we get enough knowledge and become a pro with BTC, we should learn to share them to those who also want to enter trading. Always remember, "sharing is caring."

Re: Let fear to lose be motivation to learn

"... Why being scared mate? There's nothing to fear when you have good knowledge and understanding of how Bitcoin works. You just have to be smart and carful type, not the fearful one. Your fear exposes you to more risk and I don't see how fear can motivate someone..."

This one is right. In crypto trading, you should fear NOTHING as long as you are equipped with proper knowledge on how the trading works. Once you enter this business, you should be ready to lose everything, but at the same gain what you prepared to lose. Who knows what tomorrow brings, right? Your curiosity, eagerness, and risks taken for this field is already an investment aside from your time and money.

Overall, your efforts would not be in vain if you know how to wait and learn how this field works. Do not make every failure a hindrance not to try again.

Re: Gambling made your life, better, worse, neutral

is gambling made your life better, than previous life situation means you won big or made money from gambling ,
or you play just for fun means your life is neutral and you play for entertainment, because of that thrilling experience,
or you are continuously losing in gambling and your life became worse than previous,
share your thought about gambling and how many of you have made your life better, worse, or neutral.
this is my :
I had made account on gambling site 1 year ago to getting rich quick, but now i knew that you can make money in gambling if you are lucky enough, and you have superpower to predict right and i losed money many times , and now i play by very small amount for entertainment and get that thrill. and trying to left gambling, but i am not that one whose life became better by gambling
don't quote on my story and stupid mistake i made just share your story.

In my experience gambling is fun, yes but you should have limit, know when you should stop. Gambling will make your eagerness boost especially if you are always winning on the other side if you lost you are eager to recover so tendency you will double the bet until there's nothing left for you. Some people get rich yes but remember people have different luck and fate maybe what happened to them may differ from you.

Re: Do you still hunt for airdrops?
by
powder1800
on 13/03/2023, 23:16:38 UTC
Almost all airdrop videos on YouTube are all scams, do not try hunting for airdrops using YouTube videos, those airdrops links in Youtube videos are all fake links and once you connect your wallet your tokens will be wiped out.

Airdrops are easy money before when the time of ICOs were soaring but then it has come to lie low when the bear market has came. And also, when the market has been back again for 2021 which the bull run came.

There were some few airdrops that have became profitable for those eligible which has been given away. I don't join most airdrops that I see even if I think they're profitable, I just don't feel that I should join any of it.

It is not bad if you hunt airdrops because some people make profit when they find profitable projects. But it's not worth it if you give your full time. Yes it is easy money but it always depends on how the project will go do your own research to avoid being scam.

Re: How do I succeed as newbie.

on 12/03/2023, 22:26:36 UTC
It really simple, just keep to forum rules, make good content and quality contributions to forum discussions.. And keep off from plagiarism and scam related activities.  This could really be of help Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0
Newbies are prone to fall for scams, so it is better to avoid interacting with people who send private messages and pretend to offer some sort of financial advice. If possible stay away from all kinds of messages or just ignore them. That is what I did and I do it all the time. This advice is just to keep OP safe from any sort of financial scams.

Always look for those people you know which also engage with cryptocurrency for you to be able to gain knowledge. There are a  lot of materials online that are trusted that will help you to grow. And don't rush things because being successful is a step-by-step process and lots of problems and challenges you face on the road. Always remember to be wise and knowledgeable enough to avoid scams.

Re: Public address complexity and economy of a coin
by
powder1800
on 15/10/2019, 12:49:26 UTC
Ok, do you think the complexity of public address affects the economy of a coin or a chain? For example, if bitcoin had an easy to remember the address, would it be adopted more readily? The same question is valid for ETH, of course.

People are irked by complex addresses and one of the reasons old folks are not into crypto is because everything is too complicated, as they are not computer age people like us. They like it simple and I tend to think that simpler addresses would help them adapt, and improve the crypto economy.
I found this site because a friend recommended it and all I did was enter my email and reserved a good name for myself. I am one of the people who missed the .com craze because I did not care to get a good domain name, although I could because I knew about it, now I am not gonna miss that one.

These things are first come first served, and usually (as in bitcoin), people who grab the good names first tend to get rich beyond belief.
So, what do you think? Can you beat me? My position =1, I am the number 1, the champion Smiley

https://i.ibb.co/Wkr8mBT/Clipboard01.jpg
even if the user is on the same phase like us, born and is adapting to the technology, they would want it simple and recognizable so the hassle and struggle will be lessen and ease, it will also be loved if the private keys aren't required to provide.

Re: Collecting Bitcoin Donations with a recognizable address
by
powder1800
on 15/10/2019, 12:39:55 UTC
I had an earlier post about Chinese collecting bitcoin as payment and another post about Hong Kong free press collecting donations. One of the things was that they had to use the same darn address for collecting BTC. Now if the addresses for donations were more recognizable I think things would be a lot easier for them.
About two days ago I found this site that gives you a common name like BOB or BitcoinBull or CryptoBull for a bitcoin address. So, I am thinking that things would be easier for large organizations to collect money if they had recognizable names instead of a long string of numbers and letters. What do you think, would it make it easier, in terms of adoption?

People are always after convenience and easy way of doing things, so this site that gives crypto enthusiasts a recognizable domain instead of a long string of codes that are prone to alteration by malware or viruses will be of big help and relief. Providing a secure and safer domain name would also be a way to make easier transactions and collecting donations.

Re: Investing in multiple altcoins
by
powder1800
on 03/09/2019, 10:34:55 UTC
Ok guys so I have 500 CAD left to invest in altcoins, I decided to invest 3000 CAD in bitcoin and leave it like that. So for that 500 CAD (377 USD), please tell me if this makes sense. (I want to own a broad portfolio of multiple coins that have good odds for the future). All amounts are in USD for a total of $370. I'm open to suggestions.

50    Ethereum
50   Ripple
50   Binance Coin
30   Litecoin
20   Enjin
10   Iota
30   Cardano
20   Stellar Lumens
10   VeChain Thor
10   Pundi X
10   Basic Attention Token
10   Ontology
10   Zilliqua
30   Monero
?   Eos
10   Tron
?   Zcash
10   Icon
?   Chainlink
any other ?
10   Dash

as they said do not put all your investment in one basket
but for me  i think you have too many on the list, with that capital i would prefer to choose just atleast 5.

I also don’t understand why people are trying to invest $ 5 in each coin. it is better to conduct a stronger fundamental analysis and choose 2-3 coins

Well, practically speaking its fine leaving 4-5 coins in your portfolio then invest carefully. I sure unknow how it hurts to lose more than u can afford so u should be very cautious.

Some people believe the market will crash anytime soon and then slowly the market cap will go up and the REAL bull market will start. In other words what you are seeing now is a false flag!

It is possible! What do you think?
I think it still depends on the how the market's demands are going, and we can't cinsider anything final now cause everythings so vague, but we can't also say that its not going to be another Bear market!

Re: Can Crypto trading bot beat human intelligence?

The chance for a trading bot to beat human intelligence is quite far from reality because human intelligence could know when to and not to do a trading and there's a lot to human that a bot doesn't have, but the catch is, bot can do works simultaniously and by the use of algorithm u just have to find a bot that give it all to you and somthing you can rely on. Right now I am relying with smartbotcoin that gave the satisfaction i want from a tradibg bot.

Re: Sentiment analysis or Technical analysis, which one is best to make good trading
by

It isn't really necessary to choose wether the other other one is better than the other one, it'll be better if you combine both strategies coz it bith has significance. Technical analysis will let u know the entrance and exit points and can refer to the charts while you can know how you can get and persuade the investors using the sentimental analysis.
