I'm gonna have to agree with taking action if we continually keep getting screwed out of updates and possible refunds.  I don't want to go that route, I think I'll wait a few more days, trying my damnedest to be patient, but our patience is screwing us...

Reminds me of Avalon.

I'm ready to get my assembly "refund" such as it is and be done with this crap already!

WFT is going on, and WHY NO UPDATE?! I'm trying to be "happy" with the offered measly 25% refund on assembly. But I'm quickly getting to the point where that's not gonna do it for me.

Steamboat - How about taking a few minutes to let us know what the FUCK is going on with the rest of the chip refunds, and the assembly refunds? Not to mention letting us know if chips have shipped. AND As for using my BOM parts for a future build - that is completely out of the question. I'll never send SB another dime. Lack of communication has ensured I'll never do business with SB again. I CERTAINLY have no interest in any future assembly projects he might offer.

And if I'm not getting a FULL assembly refund, I want every single BOM part, cable, and heat sink shipped to me. Furthermore, if I learn that SB is using MY parts for building ANY different product without first offering me a full refund, legal action will ensue.

Yofi screwed this up for everyone, it's true. But at this point, I think BS is actually doing worse than BitSyncom did as far as "updates". You're lack of simple updates is inexcusable.

I've been patient. I've been patient some more. I've tried to be positive though all the waiting. But now I'm of tired waiting. In fact, I'm fucking pissed!

IT'S WELL PAST TIME TO LET US KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!

Considering that when you signed up it explicitly stated NO REFUNDS, you should be happy with the refund you have gotten and should really quit belly-aching, you sound like a 13 year old. Would you rather have ordered from Terrahash?

No refunds for chips.  I don't see why assembly can't be refunded (it wasn't outlined).  I'm with him, if I only get 25% refund I want the parts shipped to me.

I have some of your shares on btctc.  The problem is I do not trade (or have an account) on the LTC site.  I also, can't create an account -- because creating new users is disabled.  So, I can't transfer my shares.  Please keep this in mind as other users may be in the same situation.

Very good point.

I will try to mirror the bids on Litecoin Global with small orders on BTCT. If the order is filled, I'll set up a new one. Prices will be adjusted from time to time to reflect BTC/LTC exchange rate, selling price as well as the depth on LTCG. I will keep this up for the next hours. If you have any additional ideas, please don't hesitate.

Right now I see no other solution to solve this.

I tried to sell, trading frozen?

You have to set up a public BTC address in your account first. It's a security measure, so issuers can identify shareholders when the site goes down. This requirement was added recently and was, in retrospect, a sign of things to come.

Ah, thanks.  Horrible situation.  Lost about 50% value of investment.  Luckily, didn't have too much invested.  This is going to really hurt for some folks...

Please anybody can provide us a BTC/MHash/Day estimate?

Simply tell us what is your hashrate , and what was your earnings in past 24hours?

tnx.

0.04 BTC for 2400 kh/s - mined for three days, that's the third day -- so a full cycle of daily coins.  LTC would have been .043 -- ~7% more

When did this IPO become questionable?  Was it the faked invoices on their website?  The pictures of boards that cannot be made into miners?  Or the posting of an empty mining address?

I conducted an analysis of the posted mining address.  I concluded that the address does not contain any bitcoins either from solo mining or deposits from known pools.

But hey, if you prefer the Josh Zerlan method - updates galore - maybe you should be buying from BFL?

Both appear to be vaporware, one has updates, one doesn't -- who's winning?

Everyone, refund.  I think this group buy is beat.  Lack of promised updates is unacceptable.

I'm afraid I have to agree with you.  Any promises of future business with steamboat are down the drain that's for sure.  Hasn't answered PM, e-mail or support ticket on website.  Sent multiple requests asking very simple questions -- with zero response.

I'm wondering if there is any way to get a refund with bitpay, since that's what we all used as a payment method for assembly/parts.

There is no risk for selling now, but there is a risk for holding. Selling everything is always a safe bet.

the risk you perceive for holding bitcoin is greatly exaggerated, and you fail to recognize the risk with holding everything in USD

It wasn't for the poor buggers who sold everything @ $30 before the $240 spike. Not that I am saying we are in the same situation now, but you never know...

Still a safe bet, any profit is a good thing.  It's when you start stretching when you have a real problem.

A lesson that I learnt the hard way: you should never dump all.

Risk to hold outweighed risk of selling.

Assume I sold 250 BTC @ 138

If the price goes up to $170 I will probably buy back in and still have the same amount of $.

250 * 138 = $34,500
$34,500 / $170 = 202 BTC (same USD value)

At this point, I feel the risk is higher that the price is going to drop significantly.  I think I'll be buying in somewhere around ~100, which will give me a gain of 100 BTC.

There is no risk for selling now, but there is a risk for holding. Selling everything is always a safe bet.

So who's the one only claiming 50 coin reward per blocked mined:

Mostly likely a misconfigured pool...

Shorting yourself about 2,000 coins....

If a new chip is found to be useable on a modified k16 unit, would there be a further refund on parts which were purchased for this group buy, or a credit to those of us that stay the course?

Yeah, kind of insane that there is as steamboat said a "TON" of parts -- that apparently he is keeping, that you paid for.

I don't think this is the case.  I believe if you get the 25% refund, the parts will also be sent to you.

those customers which purchased assembly will have the option of receiving the components purchased for production of the original units if they so choose.

That's only if they aren't able to reuse the parts in another miner...
